For rt2800 reverse the calling order of rt2x00pci_write_data and
rt2800pci_write_data. Currently rt2800pci_write_data calls rt2x00pci_write_data

Reverse this calling order by introducing a new driver callback function,
called write_tx_datadesc, which is called from the bus-specific write_tx_data
functions.

rt2800pci used the callback write_tx_desc to write the tx descriptor but
also to update the txwi which is part of the dma mapped skb. Since the
memory was already DMA mapped _before_ the call to write_tx_desc the
device didn't get the txwi data at all or only sporadically.
The call order is basically as follows (from rt2x00queue.c):
1) write_tx_data
2) rt2x00queue_map_txskb
3) write_tx_desc
Hence, we shouldn't touch the skb in write_tx_desc anymore.
To fix this issue create a new rt2800pci_write_tx_data callback and use it
for updating the txwi _before_ the memory gets DMA mapped.
The tx descriptor is still written (as before) in write_tx_desc.
This patch allows basic TX on an rt305x soc device but I'm pretty sure
that it will fix pci based cards as well. I can associate just fine with

percpu.h is included by sched.h and module.h and thus ends up being
included when building most .c files. percpu.h includes slab.h which
in turn includes gfp.h making everything defined by the two files
universally available and complicating inclusion dependencies.
percpu.h -> slab.h dependency is about to be removed. Prepare for
this change by updating users of gfp and slab facilities include those
headers directly instead of assuming availability. As this conversion
needs to touch large number of source files, the following script is
used as the basis of conversion.
http://userweb.kernel.org/~tj/misc/slabh-sweep.py
The script does the followings.
* Scan files for gfp and slab usages and update includes such that
only the necessary includes are there. ie. if only gfp is used,
gfp.h, if slab is used, slab.h.
* When the script inserts a new include, it looks at the include
blocks and try to put the new include such that its order conforms
to its surrounding. It's put in the include block which contains
core kernel includes, in the same order that the rest are ordered -
alphabetical, Christmas tree, rev-Xmas-tree or at the end if there
doesn't seem to be any matching order.
* If the script can't find a place to put a new include (mostly
because the file doesn't have fitting include block), it prints out
an error message indicating which .h file needs to be added to the
file.
The conversion was done in the following steps.
1. The initial automatic conversion of all .c files updated slightly
over 4000 files, deleting around 700 includes and adding ~480 gfp.h
and ~3000 slab.h inclusions. The script emitted errors for ~400
files.
2. Each error was manually checked. Some didn't need the inclusion,
some needed manual addition while adding it to implementation .h or
embedding .c file was more appropriate for others. This step added
inclusions to around 150 files.
3. The script was run again and the output was compared to the edits
from #2 to make sure no file was left behind.
4. Several build tests were done and a couple of problems were fixed.
e.g. lib/decompress_*.c used malloc/free() wrappers around slab
APIs requiring slab.h to be added manually.
5. The script was run on all .h files but without automatically
editing them as sprinkling gfp.h and slab.h inclusions around .h
files could easily lead to inclusion dependency hell. Most gfp.h
inclusion directives were ignored as stuff from gfp.h was usually
wildly available and often used in preprocessor macros. Each
slab.h inclusion directive was examined and added manually as
necessary.
6. percpu.h was updated not to include slab.h.
7. Build test were done on the following configurations and failures
were fixed. CONFIG_GCOV_KERNEL was turned off for all tests (as my
distributed build env didn't work with gcov compiles) and a few
more options had to be turned off depending on archs to make things
build (like ipr on powerpc/64 which failed due to missing writeq).
* x86 and x86_64 UP and SMP allmodconfig and a custom test config.
* powerpc and powerpc64 SMP allmodconfig
* sparc and sparc64 SMP allmodconfig
* ia64 SMP allmodconfig
* s390 SMP allmodconfig
* alpha SMP allmodconfig
* um on x86_64 SMP allmodconfig
8. percpu.h modifications were reverted so that it could be applied as
a separate patch and serve as bisection point.
Given the fact that I had only a couple of failures from tests on step
6, I'm fairly confident about the coverage of this conversion patch.
If there is a breakage, it's likely to be something in one of the arch
headers which should be easily discoverable easily on most builds of
the specific arch.

Support for rt30xx- and rt35xx-based devices is currently not functional
in rt2800pci and rt2800usb.
In order to not confuse users we shouldn't claim the PCI and USB device

Make support for these device configuration options that default to off.
For rt2800usb a 3rd class of devices is added, which are the unknown

Simplify the rt2x00queue_insert_l2pad function by handling the alignment
operations one by one. Do not special case special circumstances.
Basically first perform header alignment, and then perform payload alignment
(if any payload does exist). This results in a properly aligned skb.

is inserted only when a payload is actually present in the frame.

I noticed yesterday, because Jeff had noticed
a speed regression, cf. bug
http://bugzilla.intellinuxwireless.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2138
that the SM PS settings for peers were wrong.
Instead of overwriting the SM PS settings with
the local bits, we need to keep the remote bits.
The bug was part of the original HT code from
over two years ago, but unfortunately nobody
noticed that it makes no sense -- we shouldn't
be overwriting the peer's setting with our own
but rather keep it intact when masking the peer
capabilities with our own.
While fixing that, I noticed that the masking of
capabilities is completely useless for most of
the bits, so also fix those other bits.
Finally, I also noticed that PSMP_SUPPORT no
longer exists in the final 802.11n version, so

sizeof(iv16) and sizeof(iv32) are the sizes of pointers. Change them to
the size of the copied data.
Furthermore, iveiv_entry is a local structure that has just been
initialized and is not visible outside this function. Thus, there would
seem to be no point to copy data into it. The order of the arguments is
thus changed to copy the data into the parameters, which are provided as
pointers, suggesting in this case that they should be used to return values.

Right now all frames mac80211 hands to the driver
have the IEEE80211_TX_CTL_REQ_TX_STATUS flag set to
request TX status. This isn't really necessary, only
the injected frames need TX status (the latter for
hostapd) so move setting this flag.
The rate control algorithms also need TX status, but
they don't require it.
Also, rt2x00 uses that bit for its own purposes and
seems to require it being set for all frames, but
that can be fixed in rt2x00.
This doesn't really change anything for any drivers
but in the future drivers using hw-rate control may
opt to not report TX status for frames that don't
have the IEEE80211_TX_CTL_REQ_TX_STATUS flag set.

Please be gentle, I'm a fs developer and this is my first foray into drivers, as
I'm tired of building ralinks driver everytime I update my kernel. Whenever I
load the rt2800pci driver my box bogs down, and a few printk's later I
discovered its because I was getting 10's of thousands of TBTT interrupts a
second. I discovered this was because we were setting the beacon timer to 0,
which is apparently what TBTT keys off of. It seems to me that we should only
be enabling TBTT when we are in a beacon transmitting mode, which from what I
can tell is in AD-HOC and other such modes where the mac80211 layer would have
given us a proper beacon_int to set the beacon timer to instead of 0. So this
is my fix, only enable TBTT if our sync mode is for beacon. This makes it so my
box doesn't die everytime I load the rt2800pci driver. Let me know if this is
acceptable, I just learned all these terms about 15 minutes ago via wikipedia,
so I really am not familiar with how this stuff is supposed to work. Thanks,

Current tree hits a BUG_ON in rt2x00_regbusy_read, because the eFuse EEPROM
reading code of rt2800lib uses the function without the csr_mutex locked.
Fix this by locking the csr_mutex for the of the EEPROM reading cycly and
using the _lock variants of the register reading and writing functions.

Since struct hw_key_entry is 32-bytes large and is smaller than
CSR cache size (which is 64-bytes large) we can use the standard
rt2x00usb_register_multiwrite() helper to set key entries.
This cleanup is a part of preparations for later code unification.

The calculated values for the ACK timeout and ACK
consume time are different then the values as
used by the Legacy drivers.
After testing from James Ledwith it appeared that
the calculated values caused a high amount of TX
failures, and the values from the Legacy drivers
were the most optimal to prevent TX failure due to
excessive retries.
The symptoms of this problem:
- Rate control module always falls back to 1Mbs
- Low throughput when bitrate was fixed
Possible side-effects (not confirmed but highly likely)
- Problems with DHCP
- Broken connections due to lack of probe response
This should fix at least:
Kernel bugzilla reports: [13362], [13009], [9273]
Fedora bugzilla reports: [443203]
but possible some additional bugs as well.

The old function rt2x00queue_payload_align() handled
both adding and removing L2 padding and some basic
frame alignment. The entire function was being abused
because it had multiple functions and the header length
argument was somtimes used to align the header instead
of the payload.
Additionally there was a bug when inserting L2 padding
that only the payload was aligned but not the header. This
happens when the header wasn't aligned properly by mac80211,
but rt2x00lib only moves the payload.
A secondary problem was that when removing L2 padding during
TXdone or RX the skb wasn't resized to the proper size.
Split the function into seperate functions each handling
its task as it should.

to be atomic. Remove the scheduled work structure and
call into the driver directly.
Additionaly this makes the DRIVER_REQUIRE_SCHEDULED
flag redundant so it can be removed.
