dfc707558b igb: M88E1543 PHY downshift implementation
This patch implements downshift mechanism for M88E1543 PHY, so that
downshift is disabled first during link setup process, and later enabled
if we are master and downshift link is negotiated. Also cleaned up
return code implementation.

061ba049ab drivers: net: ethernet: 8390: Kconfig: add H8300H_AKI3068NET and H8300H_H8MAX dependancy for NE_H8300
Currently only H8300H_AKI3068NET and H8300H_H8MAX define default

does not support multi platform builds, we simply limit building

531cda20cd net: calxedaxgmac: fix rx DMA mapping API size mismatches
Fix the mismatch in the DMA mapping and unmapping sizes for receive. The
unmap size must be equal to the map size and should not be the actual
received frame length. The map size should also be adjusted by the
NET_IP_ALIGN size since the h/w buffer size (dma_buf_sz) includes this
offset.

Also, add a missing dma_mapping_error check in xgmac_rx_refill.

2ee68f621a net: calxedaxgmac: fix various errors in xgmac_set_rx_mode
Fix xgmac_set_rx_mode to handle several conditions that were not handled
correctly as Lennert Buytenhek describes:

If we have, say, 100 unicast addresses, and 5 multicast addresses, the
unicast address count check will evaluate to true, and set use_hash to
true. The multicast address check will however evaluate to false, and
use_hash won't be set to true again, and XGMAC_FRAME_FILTER_HMC won't
be OR'd into XGMAC_FRAME_FILTER, but since use_hash was still true
from the unicast check, netdev_for_each_mc_addr() will program the
multicast addresses into the hash table instead of using the MAC
address registers, but since the HMC bit wasn't set, the hash table
won't be checked for multicast addresses on receive, and we'll stop
receiving multicast packets entirely.

Also, there is no code that zeroes out MAC address registers reg..31
at the end of this function, meaning that under the right conditions,
unicast/multicast addresses that were previously in the filter but
were then deleted won't be cleared out.

cbe157b60c net: calxedaxgmac: fix race with tx queue stop/wake
Since the xgmac transmit start and completion work locklessly, it is
possible for xgmac_xmit to stop the tx queue after the xgmac_tx_complete
has run resulting in the tx queue never being woken up. Fix this by
ensuring that ring buffer index updates are visible and recheck the ring
space after stopping the queue. Also fix an off-by-one bug where we need
to stop the queue when the ring buffer space is equal to MAX_SKB_FRAGS.

1a1d4d2f30 net: calxedaxgmac: fix possible skb free before tx complete
The TX completion code may have freed an skb before the entire sg list
was transmitted. The DMA unmap calls for the fragments could also get
skipped. Now set the skb pointer on every entry in the ring, not just
the head of the sg list. We then use the FS (first segment) bit in the
descriptors to determine skb head vs. fragment.

This also fixes similar bug in xgmac_free_tx_skbufs where clean-up of
a sg list that wraps at the end of the ring buffer would not get
unmapped.

50ad076ba4 gianfar: Fix reported number of sent bytes to BQL
Fix the amount of sent bytes reported to BQL by reporting the
number of bytes on wire in the xmit routine, and recording that
value for each skb in order to be correctly confirmed on Tx
confirmation cleanup.

Reporting skb->len to BQL just before exiting xmit is not correct
due to possible insertions of TOE block and alignment bytes in the
skb->data, which are being stripped off by the controller before
transmission on wire. This led to mismatch of (incorrectly)
reported bytes to BQL b/w xmit and Tx confirmation, resulting in
Tx timeout firing, for the h/w tx timestamping acceleration case.

There's no easy way to obtain the number of bytes on wire in the Tx
confirmation routine, so skb->cb is used to convey that information
from xmit to Tx confirmation, for now (as proposed by Eric). Revived
the currently unused GFAR_CB() construct for that purpose.

Here's the big driver core pull request for 3.12-rc1.

Lots of tiny changes here fixing up the way sysfs attributes are
created, to try to make drivers simpler, and fix a whole class race
conditions with creations of device attributes after the device was
 announced to userspace.

All the various pieces are acked by the different subsystem maintainers.

0affdf347f net: fec: fix time stamping logic after napi conversion
Commit dc975382 "net: fec: add napi support to improve proformance"
converted the fec driver to the napi model. However, that commit
forgot to remove the call to skb_defer_rx_timestamp which is only
needed in non-napi drivers.

(The function napi_gro_receive eventually calls netif_receive_skb,
which in turn calls skb_defer_rx_timestamp.)

This patch should also be applied to the 3.9 and 3.10 kernels.

488594883e sh_eth: no need to call ether_setup()
There's no need to call ether_setup() in the driver since prior alloc_etherdev()
call already arranges for it.

6d508cce92 Merge branch 'master' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jkirsher/net-next
Jeff Kirsher says:

====================
This series contains updates to ixgbe.

Jacob provides a fix for 82599 devices where it can potentially keep link
lights up when the adapter has gone down.

Mark provides a fix to resolve the possible use of uninitialized memory
by checking the return value on EEPROM reads.

Don provides 2 patches, one to fix a issue where we were traversing the
Tx ring with the value of IXGBE_NUM_RX_QUEUES which currently happens
to have the correct value but this is misleading. A change later, could
easily make this no longer correct so when traversing the Tx ring, use
netdev->num_tx_queues. His second patch does some minor clean ups of log
messages.

Emil provides the remaining ixgbe patches. First he fixes the link test
where forcing the laser before the link check can lead to inconsistent
results because it does not guarantee that the link will be negotiated
correctly. Then he initializes the message buffer array to 0 in order
to avoid using random numbers from the memory as a MAC address for the
VF. Emil also fixes the read loop for the I2C data to account for the
offset for SFP+ modules. Lastly, Emil provides several patches to add
support for QSFP modules where 1Gbps support is added as well as support
for older QSFP active direct attach cables which pre-date SFF-8436 v3.6.

v2: Fixed patch 4 description and added blank line based on feedback from

8127d661e7 sfc: Add support for Solarflare SFC9100 family
This adds support for the EF10 network controller architecture and the
SFC9100 family, starting with SFC9120 'Farmingdale', and bumps the
driver version to 4.0.

New features in the SFC9100 family include:

- Flexible allocation of internal resources to PCIe physical and virtual
  functions under firmware control
- RX event merging to reduce DMA writes at high packet rates
- Integrated RX timestamping
- PIO buffers for lower TX latency
- Firmware-driven data path that supports additional offload features
  and filter types
- Delivery of packets between functions and to multiple recipients,
allowing firmware to implement a vswitch
- Multiple RX flow hash (RSS) contexts with their own hash keys and
  indirection tables
- 40G MAC (single port only)

...not all of which are enabled in this initial driver or the initial
firmware release.

Much of the new code is by Jon Cooper.

9c51716512 sfc: Add EF10 register and structure definitions
Also update comments and assertions in io.h:
- EF10 does not have a general BIU collector and does not have the
  bug affecting TIMER_COMMAND_REG[0] on Falcon/Siena
- The WPTR field moved within RX_DESC_UPD_REG and TX_DESC_UPD_REG.
  Adjust efx_writed_page() accordingly

ba8977bdb2 sfc: Extend struct efx_tx_buffer to allow pushing option descriptors
The TX path firmware for EF10 supports 'option descriptors' to control
offloads and various other features. Add a flag and field for these
in struct efx_tx_buffer, and don't treat them as DMA descriptors on
completion.

3881d8ab06 sfc: Use a global count of active queues instead of pending drains
On EF10, the firmware will initiate a queue flush in certain
error cases. We need to accept that flush events might appear
at any time after a queue has been initialised, not just when
we try to flush them.

We can handle Falcon-architecture in just the same way.

e8c68c0a09 sfc: Prepare for RX scatter on EF10
RX DMA scatter is always enabled on EF10. Adjust the common RX
completion handling to allow for this.

RX completion events on EF10 include the length used from a single
descriptor, not the cumulative length used. Add a field to struct
efx_rx_queue to hold the cumulative length.
