In the Amlogic Meson8 / Meson8b platforms we have two different buses: cbus and aobus, corresponding to 2 different power domains (regular and always-on). On each bus a different set of registers is mapped to manage muxes, GPIOs and in general to control a clear subset of the pins. Considering this architecture, having two different pinctrl devices, one for each bus / power domain, makes much more sense than just having one single device. Right now we have one single pin controller driver that uses two different domains (represented by 'gpio' and 'gpio-ao' sub-nodes in the DTS) to manage the set of registers on the two buses. This dual-domain configuration is hardcoded into the driver that strictly requires one domain for each bus in the same pin controller device. With this patch we refactor the driver to allow splitting the driver in two parts. This change is needed to have a proper description of the HW in the device-tree where we want to introduce aobus and cbus. * The available pins are organized in banks (A,B,C,D,E,X,Y,Z,AO,
* BOOT,CARD for meson6, X,Y,DV,H,Z,AO,BOOT,CARD for meson8 and
* X,Y,DV,H,AO,BOOT,CARD,DIF for meson8b) and each bank has a
* variable number of pins.
*
* The AO bank is special because it belongs to the Always-On power
* domain which can't be powered off; the bank also uses a set of
* registers different from the other banks.
*
* For each of the two power domains (regular and always-on) there are
* 4 different register ranges that control the following properties
* of the pins:
* 1) pin muxing
* 2) pull enable/disable
* 3) pull up/down
* 4) GPIO direction, output value, input value
*
* In some cases the register ranges for pull enable and pull
* direction are the same and thus there are only 3 register ranges.
*
* Every pinmux group can be enabled by a specific bit in the first
* register range of the domain; when all groups for a given pin are
* disabled the pin acts as a GPIO.
*
* For the pull and GPIO configuration every bank uses a contiguous
* set of bits in the register sets described above; the same register
* can be shared by more banks with different offsets.
*
* In addition to this there are some registers shared between all
* banks that control the IRQ functionality. This feature is not
* supported at the moment by the driver.
