A mirror of the official Linux kernel repository just in case

While the driver for the Hyper-V Reference TSC and STIMERs is architecture neutral, vDSO is implemented for x86/x64, but not for ARM64. Current code calls into utility functions under arch/x86 (and coming, under arch/arm64) to handle the difference. Change this approach to handle the difference inline based on whether VDSO_CLOCK_MODE_HVCLOCK is present. The new approach removes code under arch/* since the difference is tied more to the specifics of the Linux implementation than to the architecture. No functional change. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
