Endpoints with a maxpacket length of 0 are probably useless. They can't transfer any data, and it's not at all unlikely that an HCD will crash or hang when trying to handle an URB for such an endpoint. Currently the USB core does not check for endpoints having a maxpacket value of 0. This patch adds a check, printing a warning and skipping over any endpoints it catches. Now, the USB spec does not rule out endpoints having maxpacket = 0. But since they wouldn't have any practical use, there doesn't seem to be any good reason for us to accept them. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
