A mirror of the official Linux kernel repository just in case

On AArch64 you can do a sign-extended load to either a 32-bit or 64-bit register, and we should only sign extend the register up to the width of the register as specified in the operation (by using the 32-bit Wn or 64-bit Xn register specifier). As it turns out, the architecture provides this decoding information in the SF ("Sixty-Four" -- how cute...) bit. Let's take advantage of this with the usual 32-bit/64-bit header file dance and do the right thing on AArch64 hosts. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
