aic7770_config() returns both negative and positive error codes. It's
better to make aic7770_probe() only return negative error codes.
A previous commit made ahc_linux_register_host() return negative error
codes, which makes sure aic7770_probe() returns negative error codes.

The shifting of the u8 integer returned fom ahc_inb(ahc, port+3) by 24 bits
to the left will be promoted to a 32 bit signed int and then sign-extended
to a u64. In the event that the top bit of the u8 is set then all then all
the upper 32 bits of the u64 end up as also being set because of the
sign-extension. Fix this by casting the u8 values to a u64 before the 24
bit left shift.

fix
Building aicasm with gcc 10.2 + gas 26.1 causes these errors:
multiple definition of `args';
multiple definition of `yylineno';
args came from the expansion of:
STAILQ_HEAD(macro_arg_list, macro_arg) args;
The definition of the macro_arg_list structure is needed, the global
variable 'args' is not, so delete it.
yylineno is defined by flex, so defining it in bison/*.y file is not
needed. Also delete this.

Drivers should do only device-specific jobs. But in general, drivers using
legacy PCI PM framework for .suspend()/.resume() have to manage many PCI
PM-related tasks themselves which can be done by PCI Core itself. This
brings extra load on the driver and it directly calls PCI helper functions
to handle them.
Switch to the new generic framework by updating function signatures and
define a "struct dev_pm_ops" variable to bind PM callbacks. Also, remove
unnecessary calls to the PCI Helper functions along with the legacy
.suspend & .resume bindings.

ahd_linux_queue_abort_cmd() calls ahd_save_modes() without calling
ahd_restore_modes() before exiting.

'amount_xferred' is used, but only in certain circumstances. Place
the same stipulations on the defining/allocating of 'amount_xferred'
as is placed when using it.
We've been careful not to change any of the ordering semantics here.

Since commit 84af7a6194 ("checkpatch: kconfig: prefer 'help' over
'---help---'"), the number of '---help---' has been gradually
decreasing, but there are still more than 2400 instances.
This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines,
I also fixed the indentation.
There are a variety of indentation styles found.
a) 4 spaces + '---help---'
b) 7 spaces + '---help---'
c) 8 spaces + '---help---'
d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---'
e) 1 tab + '---help---' (correct indentation)
f) 1 tab + 1 space + '---help---'
g) 1 tab + 2 spaces + '---help---'
In order to convert all of them to 1 tab + 'help', I ran the
following commend:
$ find . -name 'Kconfig*' | xargs sed -i 's/^[[:space:]]*---help---/\thelp/'

There are a number of places in the aic7xxx driver where a NULL check is
performed before a kfree(). However, kfree() already performs NULL checks
so this is unnecessary. Remove the checks.
Issue identified with Coccinelle.
