In tipc_msg_reverse(), we assign skb attributes to local pointers
in stack at startup. This is followed by skb_linearize() and for
cloned buffers we perform skb relocation using pskb_expand_head().
Both these methods may update the skb attributes and thus making
the pointers incorrect.
In this commit, we fix this error by ensuring that the pointers
are re-assigned after any of these skb operations.

are consumed as the nodes permit direct reception. However, if the
skb contains tunnelled message due to fail over or synchronization
we parse it in tipc_node_check_state() without performing
linearization. This will cause link disturbances if the skb was
non linear.
In this commit, we perform linearization for the above messages.

syzkaller reported a refcount_t warning [1]
Issue here is that noop_qdisc refcnt was never really considered as
a true refcount, since qdisc_destroy() found TCQ_F_BUILTIN set :
if (qdisc->flags & TCQ_F_BUILTIN ||

return;
Meaning that all atomic_inc() we did on noop_qdisc.refcnt were not

To fix this problem, we simply need to not increment noop_qdisc.refcnt,
since we never decrement it.

Allow our callers to influence the choice of ECMP link by honoring the
hash passed together with the flow info. This allows for special
treatment of ICMP errors which we would like to route over the same path
as the IPv6 datagram that triggered the error.
Also go through rt6_multipath_hash(), in the usual case when we aren't
dealing with an ICMP error, so that there is one central place where
multipath hash is computed.

When forwarding or sending out an ICMPv6 error, look at the embedded
packet that triggered the error and compute a flow hash over its
headers.
This let's us route the ICMP error together with the flow it belongs to
when multipath (ECMP) routing is in use, which in turn makes Path MTU
Discovery work in ECMP load-balanced or anycast setups (RFC 7690).
Granted, end-hosts behind the ECMP router (aka servers) need to reflect
the IPv6 Flow Label for PMTUD to work.
The code is organized to be in parallel with ipv4 stack:
ip_multipath_l3_keys -> ip6_multipath_l3_keys
fib_multipath_hash -> rt6_multipath_hash

Reflecting IPv6 Flow Label at server nodes is useful in environments
that employ multipath routing to load balance the requests. As "IPv6
Flow Label Reflection" standard draft [1] points out - ICMPv6 PTB error
messages generated in response to a downstream packets from the server
can be routed by a load balancer back to the original server without
looking at transport headers, if the server applies the flow label
reflection. This enables the Path MTU Discovery past the ECMP router in
load-balance or anycast environments where each server node is reachable
by only one path.
Introduce a sysctl to enable flow label reflection per net namespace for
all newly created sockets. Same could be earlier achieved only per
socket by setting the IPV6_FL_F_REFLECT flag for the IPV6_FLOWLABEL_MGR
socket option.

In 9dbbfb0ab6 function tipc_sk_reinit
had additional logic added to loop in the event that function
rhashtable_walk_next() returned -EAGAIN. No worries.
However, if rhashtable_walk_start returns -EAGAIN, it does "continue",
and therefore skips the call to rhashtable_walk_stop(). That has
the effect of calling rcu_read_lock() without its paired call to
rcu_read_unlock(). Since rcu_read_lock() may be nested, the problem
may not be apparent for a while, especially since resize events may
be rare. But the comments to rhashtable_walk_start() state:
* ...Note that we take the RCU lock in all
* cases including when we return an error. So you must always call
* rhashtable_walk_stop to clean up.
This patch replaces the continue with a goto and label to ensure a
matching call to rhashtable_walk_stop().

Current implementation treats the burst configuration the same as
rate configuration. This can cause the per packet cost to be lower
than configured. In effect, this bug causes the token bucket to be
refilled at a higher rate than what user has specified.
This patch changes the implementation so that the token bucket size
is controlled by "rate + burst", while maintain the token bucket

Commit 4440a2ab3b ("netfilter: synproxy: Check oom when adding synproxy
and seqadj ct extensions") wanted to drop the packet when it fails to add
seqadj ext due to no memory by checking if nfct_seqadj_ext_add returns
NULL.
But that nfct_seqadj_ext_add returns NULL can also happen when seqadj ext
already exists in a nf_conn. It will cause that userspace protocol doesn't
work when both dnat and snat are configured.
Li Shuang found this issue in the case:
Topo:
ftp client router ftp server
10.167.131.2 <-> 10.167.131.254 10.167.141.254 <-> 10.167.141.1
Rules:
# iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i eth1 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 21 -j \
DNAT --to-destination 10.167.141.1
# iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth2 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 21 -j \
SNAT --to-source 10.167.141.254
In router, when both dnat and snat are added, nf_nat_setup_info will be
called twice. The packet can be dropped at the 2nd time for DNAT due to
seqadj ext is already added at the 1st time for SNAT.
This patch is to fix it by checking for seqadj ext existence before adding
it, so that the packet will not be dropped if seqadj ext already exists.
Note that as Florian mentioned, as a long term, we should review ext_add()
behaviour, it's better to return a pointer to the existing ext instead.

The goto_chain termination action takes a reference of a chain. In that
case, there is an issue when block_put is called tcf_chain_destroy

The patch adds ERSPAN type II tunnel support. The implementation
is based on the draft at [1]. One of the purposes is for Linux
box to be able to receive ERSPAN monitoring traffic sent from
the Cisco switch, by creating a ERSPAN tunnel device.
In addition, the patch also adds ERSPAN TX, so Linux virtual
switch can redirect monitored traffic to the ERSPAN tunnel device.
The traffic will be encapsulated into ERSPAN and sent out.
The implementation reuses tunnel key as ERSPAN session ID, and
field 'erspan' as ERSPAN Index fields:
./ip link add dev ers11 type erspan seq key 100 erspan 123 \
local 172.16.1.200 remote 172.16.1.100
To use the above device as ERSPAN receiver, configure
Nexus 5000 switch as below:
monitor session 100 type erspan-source
erspan-id 123
vrf default
destination ip 172.16.1.200

When peeking, if a bad csum is discovered, the skb is unlinked from
the queue with __sk_queue_drop_skb and the peek operation restarted.
__sk_queue_drop_skb only drops packets that match the queue head.
This fails if the skb was found after the head, using SO_PEEK_OFF
socket option. This causes an infinite loop.
We MUST drop this problematic skb, and we can simply check if skb was
already removed by another thread, by looking at skb->next :
This pointer is set to NULL by the __skb_unlink() operation, that might
have happened only under the spinlock protection.
Many thanks to syzkaller team (and particularly Dmitry Vyukov who
provided us nice C reproducers exhibiting the lockup) and Willem de

In above scenario, the request of deleting subscriber was performed
earlier than the request of canceling a subscription although the
latter was issued before the former, which means tipc_subscrb_delete()
was called before tipc_subscrp_cancel(). As a result, when
tipc_subscrb_subscrp_delete() called by tipc_subscrp_cancel() was
executed to cancel a subscription, the subscription's subscriber
refcnt had been decreased to 1. After tipc_subscrp_delete() where
the subscriber was freed because its refcnt was decremented to zero,
but the subscriber's lock had to be released, as a consequence, panic
happened.
By contrast, if we increase subscriber's refcnt before
tipc_subscrb_subscrp_delete() is called in tipc_subscrp_cancel(),
the panic issue can be avoided.

We currently keep rt->rt6i_node pointing to the fib6_node for the route.
And some functions make use of this pointer to dereference the fib6_node
from rt structure, e.g. rt6_check(). However, as there is neither
refcount nor rcu taken when dereferencing rt->rt6i_node, it could
potentially cause crashes as rt->rt6i_node could be set to NULL by other
CPUs when doing a route deletion.
This patch introduces an rcu grace period before freeing fib6_node and
makes sure the functions that dereference it takes rcu_read_lock().

A packet length of exactly IPV6_MAXPLEN is allowed, we should
refuse parsing options only if the size is 64KiB or more.
While at it, remove one extra variable and one assignment which
were also introduced by the commit that introduced the size
check. Checking the sum 'offset + len' and only later adding
'len' to 'offset' doesn't provide any advantage over directly
summing to 'offset' and checking it.

When the broadcast send link after 100 attempts has failed to
transfer a packet to all peers, we consider it stale, and reset
it. Thereafter it needs to re-synchronize with the peers, something
currently done by just resetting and re-establishing all links to
all peers. This has turned out to be overkill, with potentially
unwanted consequences for the remaining cluster.
A closer analysis reveals that this can be done much simpler. When
this kind of failure happens, for reasons that may lie outside the
TIPC protocol, it is typically only one peer which is failing to
receive and acknowledge packets. It is hence sufficient to identify
and reset the links only to that peer to resolve the situation, without
having to reset the broadcast link at all. This solution entails a much
lower risk of negative consequences for the own node as well as for
the overall cluster.
We implement this change in this commit.

One nagging difference between ipv4 and ipv6 is host routes for ipv6
addresses are installed using the loopback device or VRF / L3 Master
device. e.g.,
2001:db8:1::/120 dev veth0 proto kernel metric 256 pref medium
local 2001:db8:1::1 dev lo table local proto kernel metric 0 pref medium
Using the loopback device is convenient -- necessary for local tx, but
has some nasty side effects, most notably setting the 'lo' device down
causes all host routes for all local IPv6 address to be removed from the
FIB and completely breaks IPv6 networking across all interfaces.
This patch puts FIB entries for IPv6 routes against the device. This
simplifies the routes in the FIB, for example by making dst->dev and
rt6i_idev->dev the same (a future patch can look at removing the device
reference taken for rt6i_idev for FIB entries).
When copies are made on FIB lookups, the cloned route has dst->dev
set to loopback (or the L3 master device). This is needed for the
local Tx of packets to local addresses.
With fib entries allocated against the real network device, the addrconf
code that reinserts host routes on admin up of 'lo' is no longer needed.

In fib6_add(), it is possible that fib6_add_1() picks an intermediate
node and sets the node's fn->leaf to NULL in order to add this new
route. However, if fib6_add_rt2node() fails to add the new
route for some reason, fn->leaf will be left as NULL and could
potentially cause crash when fn->leaf is accessed in fib6_locate().

useful to do this as it causes corruption of the tcp option space.
We can always lift this restriction later if a use-case appears.

As we know in some target's checkentry it may dereference par.entryinfo
to check entry stuff inside. But when sched action calls xt_check_target,
par.entryinfo is set with NULL. It would cause kernel panic when calling
some targets.
It can be reproduce with:
# tc qd add dev eth1 ingress handle ffff:
# tc filter add dev eth1 parent ffff: u32 match u32 0 0 action xt \
-j ECN --ecn-tcp-remove
It could also crash kernel when using target CLUSTERIP or TPROXY.
By now there's no proper value for par.entryinfo in ipt_init_target,
but it can not be set with NULL. This patch is to void all these
panics by setting it with an ipt_entry obj with all members = 0.
Note that this issue has been there since the very beginning.

rxrpc_service_prealloc_one() doesn't set the socket pointer on any new call
it preallocates, but does add it to the rxrpc net namespace call list.
This, however, causes rxrpc_put_call() to oops when the call is discarded
when the socket is closed. rxrpc_put_call() needs the socket to be able to
reach the namespace so that it can use a lock held therein.
Fix this by setting a call's socket pointer immediately before discarding
it.
This can be triggered by unloading the kafs module, resulting in an oops
like the following:

The return error code need to be included in the tracepoint
xdp:xdp_redirect, else its not possible to distinguish successful or
failed XDP_REDIRECT transmits.
XDP have no queuing mechanism. Thus, it is fairly easily to overrun a
NIC transmit queue. The eBPF program invoking helpers (bpf_redirect
or bpf_redirect_map) to redirect a packet doesn't get any feedback
whether the packet was actually transmitted.
Info on failed transmits in the tracepoint xdp:xdp_redirect, is
interesting as this opens for providing a feedback-loop to the
receiving XDP program.

In some situations tcp_send_loss_probe() can realize that it's unable
to send a loss probe (TLP), and falls back to calling tcp_rearm_rto()
to schedule an RTO timer. In such cases, sometimes tcp_rearm_rto()
realizes that the RTO was eligible to fire immediately or at some
point in the past (delta_us <= 0). Previously in such cases
tcp_rearm_rto() was scheduling such "overdue" RTOs to happen at now +
icsk_rto, which caused needless delays of hundreds of milliseconds
(and non-linear behavior that made reproducible testing
difficult). This commit changes the logic to schedule "overdue" RTOs
ASAP, rather than at now + icsk_rto.

headers from UDP packets before queueing"), when udp packets are being
peeked the requested extra offset is always 0 as there is no need to skip
the udp header. However, when the offset is 0 and the next skb is
of length 0, it is only returned once. The behaviour can be seen with
the following python script:
from socket import *;
f=socket(AF_INET6, SOCK_DGRAM | SOCK_NONBLOCK, 0);
g=socket(AF_INET6, SOCK_DGRAM | SOCK_NONBLOCK, 0);
f.bind(('::', 0));
addr=('::1', f.getsockname()[1]);
g.sendto(b'', addr)
g.sendto(b'b', addr)
print(f.recvfrom(10, MSG_PEEK));
print(f.recvfrom(10, MSG_PEEK));
Where the expected output should be the empty string twice.
Instead, make sk_peek_offset return negative values, and pass those values
to __skb_try_recv_datagram/__skb_try_recv_from_queue. If the passed offset
to __skb_try_recv_from_queue is negative, the checked skb is never skipped.
__skb_try_recv_from_queue will then ensure the offset is reset back to 0
if a peek is requested without an offset, unless no packets are found.
Also simplify the if condition in __skb_try_recv_from_queue. If _off is
greater then 0, and off is greater then or equal to skb->len, then
(_off || skb->len) must always be true assuming skb->len >= 0 is always
true.
Also remove a redundant check around a call to sk_peek_offset in af_unix.c,
as it double checked if MSG_PEEK was set in the flags.
V2:
- Moved the negative fixup into __skb_try_recv_from_queue, and remove now
redundant checks
- Fix peeking in udp{,v6}_recvmsg to report the right value when the
offset is 0
V3:
- Marked new branch in __skb_try_recv_from_queue as unlikely.

Adding a lock around one of the assignments prevents gcc from

that our IP_MAX_MTU enforcements were not properly done.
gcc seems to reload dev->mtu for min(dev->mtu, IP_MAX_MTU), and

For sw_flow_actions, the actions_len only represents the kernel part's

But unfortunately, for OVS_PACKET_ATTR_ACTIONS, we use the actions_len
to alloc the skbuff, so the user_skb's size may become insufficient and
oops will happen like this:

},
orig_len = 1384,
actions_len = 592,

So as a quick fix, use the orig_len instead of the actions_len to alloc
the user_skb.
Last, this oops happened on our system running a relative old kernel, but
the same risk still exists on the mainline, since we use the wrong
actions_len from the beginning.

The txq_state can be used for determining the reason for zero packet

Recently we added a new map type called dev map used to forward XDP
packets between ports (6093ec2dc3). This patches introduces a
similar notion for sockets.
A sockmap allows users to add participating sockets to a map. When
sockets are added to the map enough context is stored with the
map entry to use the entry with a new helper
bpf_sk_redirect_map(map, key, flags)
This helper (analogous to bpf_redirect_map in XDP) is given the map
and an entry in the map. When called from a sockmap program, discussed
below, the skb will be sent on the socket using skb_send_sock().
With the above we need a bpf program to call the helper from that will
then implement the send logic. The initial site implemented in this
series is the recv_sock hook. For this to work we implemented a map
attach command to add attributes to a map. In sockmap we add two
programs a parse program and a verdict program. The parse program
uses strparser to build messages and pass them to the verdict program.
The parse programs use the normal strparser semantics. The verdict
program is of type SK_SKB.
The verdict program returns a verdict SK_DROP, or SK_REDIRECT for
now. Additional actions may be added later. When SK_REDIRECT is
returned, expected when bpf program uses bpf_sk_redirect_map(), the
sockmap logic will consult per cpu variables set by the helper routine
and pull the sock entry out of the sock map. This pattern follows the
existing redirect logic in cls and xdp programs.
This gives the flow,
recv_sock -> str_parser (parse_prog) -> verdict_prog -> skb_send_sock
\
-> kfree_skb
As an example use case a message based load balancer may use specific
logic in the verdict program to select the sock to send on.
Sample programs are provided in future patches that hopefully illustrate
the user interfaces. Also selftests are in follow-on patches.

A class of programs, run from strparser and soon from a new map type
called sock map, are used with skb as the context but on established
sockets. By creating a specific program type for these we can use
bpf helpers that expect full sockets and get the verifier to ensure
these helpers are not used out of context.
The new type is BPF_PROG_TYPE_SK_SKB. This patch introduces the
infrastructure and type.

IPv6 routes currently lack nexthop flags as in IPv4. This has several
implications.
In the forwarding path, it requires us to check the carrier state of the
nexthop device and potentially ignore a linkdown route, instead of
checking for RTNH_F_LINKDOWN.
It also requires capable drivers to use the user facing IPv6-specific
route flags to provide offload indication, instead of using the nexthop
flags as in IPv4.
Add nexthop flags to IPv6 routes in the 40 bytes hole and use it to
provide offload indication instead of the RTF_OFFLOAD flag, which is
removed while it's still not part of any official kernel release.
In the near future we would like to use the field for the
RTNH_F_{LINKDOWN,DEAD} flags, but this change is more involved and might
not be ready in time for the current cycle.

When a dst is created by addrconf_dst_alloc() for a host route or an

points to a real device.
When the real device goes down, the current cleanup code only checks for
dst->dev and assumes rt6->rt6i_idev->dev is the same. This causes the
refcount leak on the real device in the above situation.

In the function msg_reverse(), we reverse the header while trying to
reuse the original buffer whenever possible. Those rejected/returned
messages are always transmitted as unicast, but the msg_non_seq field
is not explicitly set to zero as it should be.
We have seen cases where multicast senders set the message type to
"NOT dest_droppable", meaning that a multicast message shorter than
one MTU will be returned, e.g., during receive buffer overflow, by
reusing the original buffer. This has the effect that even the
'msg_non_seq' field is inadvertently inherited by the rejected message,
although it is now sent as a unicast message. This again leads the
receiving unicast link endpoint to steer the packet toward the broadcast
link receive function, where it is dropped. The affected unicast link is
thereafter (after 100 failed retransmissions) declared 'stale' and
reset.
We fix this by unconditionally setting the 'msg_non_seq' flag to zero
for all rejected/returned messages.

On L2 bearers, the TIPC broadcast function is sending out packets using
the corresponding L2 broadcast address. At reception, we filter such
packets under the assumption that they will also be delivered as
broadcast packets.
This assumption doesn't always hold true. Under high load, we have seen
that a switch may convert the destination address and deliver the packet
as a PACKET_MULTICAST, something leading to inadvertently dropped
packets and a stale and reset broadcast link.
We fix this by extending the reception filtering to accept packets of
type PACKET_MULTICAST.

Calls to rtnl_dump_ifinfo() are protected by RTNL lock. So are the
{list,unlist}_netdevice() calls where we bump the net->dev_base_seq
number.
For this reason net->dev_base_seq can't change under out feet while
we're looping over links in rtnl_dump_ifinfo(). So move the check for
net->dev_base_seq change (since the last time we were called) out of the
loop.
This way we avoid giving a wrong impression that there are concurrent
updates to the link list going on while we're iterating over them.

$ vrf-test -I eth1 -r 10.100.1.4
<hangs when there is no server>
(don't let the command name fool you; vrf-test works without vrfs.)
The problem is that the original intended device, eth1 in this case, is
lost when the tcp reset is sent, so the socket lookup does not find a
match for the reset and the connect attempt hangs. Fix by adjusting
orig_oif for local traffic to the device from the fib lookup result.
With this patch you get the more user friendly:
$ vrf-test -I eth1 -r 10.100.1.4
connect failed: 111: Connection refused
orig_oif is saved to the newly created rtable as rt_iif and when set
it is used as the dif for socket lookups. It is set based on flowi4_oif
passed in to ip_route_output_key_hash_rcu and will be set to either
the loopback device, an l3mdev device, nothing (flowi4_oif = 0 which
is the case in the example above) or a netdev index depending on the
lookup path. In each case, resetting orig_oif to the device in the fib
result for the RTN_LOCAL case allows the actual device to be preserved
as the skb tx and rx is done over the loopback or VRF device.

The DSA layer frees the original skb when an xmit function returns NULL,
meaning an error occurred. But if the tagging code copied the original
skb, it is responsible of freeing the copy if an error occurs.
The ksz tagging code currently has two issues: if skb_put_padto fails,
the skb copy is not freed, and the original skb will be freed twice.
To fix that, move skb_put_padto inside both branches of the skb_tailroom
condition, before freeing the original skb, and free the copy on error.

On systems that use mark-based routing it may be necessary for
routing lookups to use marks in order for packets to be routed
correctly. An example of such a system is Android, which uses
socket marks to route packets via different networks.
Currently, routing lookups in tunnel mode always use a mark of
zero, making routing incorrect on such systems.
This patch adds a new output_mark element to the xfrm state and
a corresponding XFRMA_OUTPUT_MARK netlink attribute. The output
mark differs from the existing xfrm mark in two ways:
1. The xfrm mark is used to match xfrm policies and states, while
the xfrm output mark is used to set the mark (and influence
the routing) of the packets emitted by those states.
2. The existing mark is constrained to be a subset of the bits of
the originating socket or transformed packet, but the output
mark is arbitrary and depends only on the state.
The use of a separate mark provides additional flexibility. For
example:
- A packet subject to two transforms (e.g., transport mode inside
tunnel mode) can have two different output marks applied to it,
one for the transport mode SA and one for the tunnel mode SA.
- On a system where socket marks determine routing, the packets
emitted by an IPsec tunnel can be routed based on a mark that
is determined by the tunnel, not by the marks of the
unencrypted packets.
- Support for setting the output marks can be introduced without
breaking any existing setups that employ both mark-based
routing and xfrm tunnel mode. Simply changing the code to use
the xfrm mark for routing output packets could xfrm mark could
change behaviour in a way that breaks these setups.
If the output mark is unspecified or set to zero, the mark is not
set or changed.

The splat is correct; as rtnl_register doesn't grab any logs
and doesn't use rcu locks either. It has always been like this.
handler families are not registered in parallel so there are no
races wrt. the kmalloc ordering.
The only reason to use rcu_dereference in the first place was to
avoid sparse from complaining about this.
Thus this switches to _raw() to not have rcu checks here.
The alternative is to add rtnl locking to register/unregister,
however, I don't see a compelling reason to do so as this has been
lockless for the past twenty years or so.

RPS and probably other kernel features are currently broken on some if not
all DSA devices. The root cause of this is that skb_hash will call the
flow_dissector. At this point the skb still contains the magic switch
header and the skb->protocol field is not set up to the correct 802.3
value yet. By the time the tag specific code is called, removing the header
and properly setting the protocol an invalid hash is already set. In the

moved the igmp sysctls initialization from tcp_sk_init to igmp_net_init. This
function is only called as part of per-namespace initialization, only if
CONFIG_IP_MULTICAST is defined, otherwise igmp_mc_init() call in ip_init is
compiled out, casuing the igmp pernet ops to not be registerd and those sysctl
being left initialized with 0. However, there are certain functions, such as
ip_mc_join_group which are always compiled and make use of some of those
sysctls. Let's do a partial revert of the aforementioned commit and move the
sysctl initialization into inet_init_net, that way they will always have

When a link between two nodes come up, both endpoints will initially
send out a STATE message to the peer, to increase the probability that
the peer endpoint also is up when the first traffic message arrives.
Thereafter, if the establishing link is the second link between two
nodes, this first "traffic" message is a TUNNEL_PROTOCOL/SYNCH message,
helping the peer to perform initial synchronization between the two
links.
However, the initial STATE message may be lost, in which case the SYNCH
message will be the first one arriving at the peer. This should also
work, as the SYNCH message itself will be used to take up the link
endpoint before initializing synchronization.
Unfortunately the code for this case is broken. Currently, the link is
brought up through a tipc_link_fsm_evt(ESTABLISHED) when a SYNCH
arrives, whereupon __tipc_node_link_up() is called to distribute the
link slots and take the link into traffic. But, __tipc_node_link_up() is
itself starting with a test for whether the link is up, and if true,
returns without action. Clearly, the tipc_link_fsm_evt(ESTABLISHED) call
is unnecessary, since tipc_node_link_up() is itself issuing such an
event, but also harmful, since it inhibits tipc_node_link_up() to
perform the test of its tasks, and the link endpoint in question hence
is never taken into traffic.
This problem has been exposed when we set up dual links between pre-
and post-4.4 kernels, because the former ones don't send out the
initial STATE message described above.
We fix this by removing the unnecessary event call.

Therefore we can just check if type is RTM_GETLINK and then do a direct
call. Because of fallback to PF_UNSPEC all RTM_GETLINK types used this
regardless of family.
This has the advantage that we don't need to allocate space for
the function pointer for all the other families.
A followup patch will drop the calcit function pointer from the
rtnl_link callback structure.

Currently, eBPF only understands BPF_JGT (>), BPF_JGE (>=),
BPF_JSGT (s>), BPF_JSGE (s>=) instructions, this means that
particularly *JLT/*JLE counterparts involving immediates need
to be rewritten from e.g. X < [IMM] by swapping arguments into
[IMM] > X, meaning the immediate first is required to be loaded
into a register Y := [IMM], such that then we can compare with
Y > X. Note that the destination operand is always required to
be a register.
This has the downside of having unnecessarily increased register
pressure, meaning complex program would need to spill other
registers temporarily to stack in order to obtain an unused
register for the [IMM]. Loading to registers will thus also
affect state pruning since we need to account for that register
use and potentially those registers that had to be spilled/filled
again. As a consequence slightly more stack space might have
been used due to spilling, and BPF programs are a bit longer
due to extra code involving the register load and potentially
required spill/fills.
Thus, add BPF_JLT (<), BPF_JLE (<=), BPF_JSLT (s<), BPF_JSLE (s<=)
counterparts to the eBPF instruction set. Modifying LLVM to
remove the NegateCC() workaround in a PoC patch at [1] and
allowing it to also emit the new instructions resulted in
cilium's BPF programs that are injected into the fast-path to
have a reduced program length in the range of 2-3% (e.g.
accumulated main and tail call sections from one of the object
file reduced from 4864 to 4729 insns), reduced complexity in
the range of 10-30% (e.g. accumulated sections reduced in one
of the cases from 116432 to 88428 insns), and reduced stack
usage in the range of 1-5% (e.g. accumulated sections from one
of the object files reduced from 824 to 784b).
The modification for LLVM will be incorporated in a backwards
compatible way. Plan is for LLVM to have i) a target specific
option to offer a possibility to explicitly enable the extension
by the user (as we have with -m target specific extensions today
for various CPU insns), and ii) have the kernel checked for
presence of the extensions and enable them transparently when
the user is selecting more aggressive options such as -march=native
in a bpf target context. (Other frontends generating BPF byte
code, e.g. ply can probe the kernel directly for its code
generation.)

skb_warn_bad_offload triggers a warning when an skb enters the GSO
stack at __skb_gso_segment that does not have CHECKSUM_PARTIAL
checksum offload set.
Commit b2504a5dbe ("net: reduce skb_warn_bad_offload() noise")
observed that SKB_GSO_DODGY producers can trigger the check and
that passing those packets through the GSO handlers will fix it
up. But, the software UFO handler will set ip_summed to
CHECKSUM_NONE.
When __skb_gso_segment is called from the receive path, this
triggers the warning again.
Make UFO set CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY instead of CHECKSUM_NONE. On
Tx these two are equivalent. On Rx, this better matches the
skb state (checksum computed), as CHECKSUM_NONE here means no
checksum computed.

Now xt_tgchk_param par in ipt_init_target is a local varibale,
par.net is not initialized there. Later when xt_check_target
calls target's checkentry in which it may access par.net, it

Currently the bridge port flags, vlans, FDBs and MDBs can be offloaded
through the bridge code, making the switchdev's SELF bridge bypass
implementation to be redundant. This implies several changes:
- No need for dump infra in switchdev, DSA's special case is handled
privately.
- Remove obj_dump from switchdev_ops.
- FDBs are removed from obj_add/del routines, due to the fact that they
are offloaded through the bridge notification chain.
- The switchdev_port_bridge_xx() and switchdev_port_fdb_xx() functions
