Currently msi_bitmap_alloc_hwirqs() will round up any IRQ allocation requests
to the nearest power of 2. eg. ask for 5 IRQs and you'll get 8. This wastes a
lot of IRQs which can be a scarce resource.
For cxl we may require multiple IRQs for every context that is attached to the
accelerator. There may be 1000s of contexts attached, hence we can easily run
out of IRQs, especially if we are needlessly wasting them.
This changes the msi_bitmap_alloc_hwirqs() to allocate only the required number
of IRQs, hence avoiding this wastage. It keeps the natural alignment
requirement though.

On PowerNV platforms, when a CPU is offline, we put it into nap mode.
It's possible that the CPU wakes up from nap mode while it is still
offline due to a stray IPI. A misdirected device interrupt could also
potentially cause it to wake up. In that circumstance, we need to clear
the interrupt so that the CPU can go back to nap mode.
In the past the clearing of the interrupt was accomplished by briefly
enabling interrupts and allowing the normal interrupt handling code
(do_IRQ() etc.) to handle the interrupt. This has the problem that
this code calls irq_enter() and irq_exit(), which call functions such
as account_system_vtime() which use RCU internally. Use of RCU is not
permitted on offline CPUs and will trigger errors if RCU checking is
enabled.
To avoid calling into any generic code which might use RCU, we adopt
a different method of clearing interrupts on offline CPUs. Since we
are on the PowerNV platform, we know that the system interrupt
controller is a XICS being driven directly (i.e. not via hcalls) by
the kernel. Hence this adds a new icp_native_flush_interrupt()
function to the native-mode XICS driver and arranges to call that
when an offline CPU is woken from nap. This new function reads the
interrupt from the XICS. If it is an IPI, it clears the IPI; if it
is a device interrupt, it prints a warning and disables the source.
Then it does the end-of-interrupt processing for the interrupt.
The other thing that briefly enabling interrupts did was to check and
clear the irq_happened flag in this CPU's PACA. Therefore, after
flushing the interrupt from the XICS, we also clear all bits except
the PACA_IRQ_HARD_DIS (interrupts are hard disabled) bit from the
irq_happened flag. The PACA_IRQ_HARD_DIS flag is set by power7_nap()
and is left set to indicate that interrupts are hard disabled. This
means we then have to ignore that flag in power7_nap(), which is
reasonable since it doesn't indicate that any interrupt event needs
servicing.

of_device_ids (i.e. compatible strings and the respective data) are not
supposed to change at runtime. All functions working with of_device_ids
provided by <linux/of.h> work with const of_device_ids. This allows to
mark all struct of_device_id const, too.
While touching these line also put the __init annotation at the right
position where necessary.

Allocate msis such that each time a new interrupt is requested,
the SRS (MSIR register select) to be used is allocated in a
round-robin fashion.
The end result is that the msi interrupts will be spread across
distinct MSIRs with the main benefit that now users can set
affinity to each msi int through the mpic irq backing up the
MSIR register.
This is achieved with the help of a newly introduced msi bitmap
api that allows specifying the starting point when searching
for a free msi interrupt.

Rename the irq controller associated with a MSI
interrupt to fsl-msi-<V>, where <V> is the virq
of the cascade irq backing up this MSI interrupt.
This way, one can set the affinity of a MSI
through the cascade irq associated with said MSI
interrupt.

(having the irq controller named "fsl-msi-224")
instead of writing /proc/irq/17/smp_affinity, use
the associated MSI cascade irq, in this case,
interrupt 224, e.g.:

Note that a MSI cascade irq covers several MSI
interrupts, so changing the affinity on the
cascade will impact all of the associated MSI
interrupts.

As we do for other fsl-mpic related cascaded irqchips
(e.g. error ints, mpic timers), use a normal irq handler
for msi irqs too.
This brings some advantages such as mask/unmask/ack/eoi
and irq state taken care behind the scenes, kstats
updates a.s.o plus access to features provided by mpic,
such as affinity.

The following commit prevents the MPC8548E on the XPedite5200 PrPMC
module from enumerating its PCI/PCI-X bus:
powerpc/fsl-pci: use 'Header Type' to identify PCIE mode
The previous patch prevents any Freescale PCI-X bridge from enumerating
the bus, if it is hardware strapped into Agent mode.
In PCI-X, the Host is responsible for driving the PCI-X initialization
pattern to devices on the bus, so that they know whether to operate in
conventional PCI or PCI-X mode as well as what the bus timing will be.
For a PCI-X PrPMC, the pattern is driven by the mezzanine carrier it is
installed onto. Therefore, PrPMCs are PCI-X Agents, but one per system
may still enumerate the bus.
This patch causes the device node of any PCI/PCI-X bridge strapped into
Agent mode to be checked for the fsl,pci-agent-force-enum property. If
the property is present in the node, the bridge will be allowed to
enumerate the bus.

The new MSI block in MPIC 4.3 added the MSIIR1 register,
with a different layout, in order to support 16 MSIR
registers. The msi binding was also updated so that
the "reg" reflects the newly introduced MSIIR1 register.
Virtual machines advertise these msi nodes by using the
compatible "fsl,vmpic-msi-v4.3" so add support for it.

mpic_msgrs has type struct mpic_msgr **, not struct mpic_msgr *, so the
elements of the array should have pointer type, not structure type.
The advantage of kcalloc is, that will prevent integer overflows which
could result from the multiplication of number of elements and size and
it is also a bit nicer to read.

The DART table allocation is registered to kmemleak via the
memblock_alloc_base() call. However, the DART table is later unmapped
and dart_tablebase VA no longer accessible. This patch tells kmemleak
not to scan this block and avoid an unhandled paging request.

This patch enables POWER8 doorbell IPIs on powernv.
Since doorbells can only IPI within a core, we test to see when we can use
doorbells and if not we fall back to XICS. This also enables hypervisor
doorbells to wakeup us up from nap/sleep via the LPCR PECEDH bit.
Based on tests by Anton, the best case IPI latency between two threads dropped
from 894ns to 512ns.

"Here is the bulk of the powerpc changes for this merge window. It got
a bit delayed in part because I wasn't paying attention, and in part
because I discovered I had a core PCI change without a PCI maintainer
ack in it. Bjorn eventually agreed it was ok to merge it though we'll
probably improve it later and I didn't want to rebase to add his ack.
There is going to be a bit more next week, essentially fixes that I
still want to sort through and test.
The biggest item this time is the support to build the ppc64 LE kernel
with our new v2 ABI. We previously supported v2 userspace but the
kernel itself was a tougher nut to crack. This is now sorted mostly
thanks to Anton and Rusty.
We also have a fairly big series from Cedric that add support for
64-bit LE zImage boot wrapper. This was made harder by the fact that
traditionally our zImage wrapper was always 32-bit, but our new LE
toolchains don't really support 32-bit anymore (it's somewhat there
but not really "supported") so we didn't want to rely on it. This
meant more churn that just endian fixes.
This brings some more LE bits as well, such as the ability to run in
LE mode without a hypervisor (ie. under OPAL firmware) by doing the
right OPAL call to reinitialize the CPU to take HV interrupts in the
right mode and the usual pile of endian fixes.
There's another series from Gavin adding EEH improvements (one day we
*will* have a release with less than 20 EEH patches, I promise!).
Another highlight is the support for the "Split core" functionality on
P8 by Michael. This allows a P8 core to be split into "sub cores" of
4 threads which allows the subcores to run different guests under KVM
(the HW still doesn't support a partition per thread).

There is now a way to ensure all platform devices get a unique name when
populated from the device tree, and the DCR_NATIVE code path is broken
anyway. PowerPC Cell (PS3) is the only platform that actually uses this
path. Most likely nobody will notice if it is killed. Remove the code
and associated ugly #ifdef.
The user-visible impact of this patch is that any DCR device on Cell
will get a new name in the /sys/devices hierarchy.

Parsing and registration of fixed PHY devices was needed with the use of
of_phy_connect_fixed_link() because this function was using the
designated PHY address identifier (first cell of the property) as the
address to bind the PHY on the emulated bus.
Since commit 3be2a49e5c ("of: provide a
binding for fixed link PHYs") a new pair of functions has been
introduced which allows for dynamic address allocation of these fixed
PHY devices, but also parses the old 'fixed-link' 5-digit property.
Registration of fixed PHY early in platform code was needed because we
could not issue a fixed MDIO bus re-scan within network drivers. The
fixed PHYs had to be registered before the network drivers would call
of_phy_connect_fixed_link(). All of these caveats are solved now, such
that we can safely remove of_add_fixed_phys() now.

Several of the error paths from fsl_rio_setup are missing error
messages.
Worse, fsl_rio_setup initializes several global pointers and does not
NULL them out after freeing/unmapping on error. This caused
fsl_rio_mcheck_exception() to crash when accessing rio_regs_win which
was non-NULL but had been unmapped.

does the rio driver fail if rmu is not present (e.g. on t4240)?
The PPC476GTR SoC supports message signalled interrupts (MSI) by writing
to special addresses within the High Speed Transfer Assist (HSTA) module.
This patch adds support for PCI MSI with a new system device. The DMA
window is also updated to allow access to the entire 42-bit address range
to allow PCI devices write access to the HSTA module.

This patch removes an artificial RapidIO bus root device and establishes
actual device hierarchy by providing reference to real parent devices.
It also introduces device class for RapidIO controller devices (on-chip
or an eternal bridge, known as "mport").
Existing implementation was sufficient for SoC-based platforms that have
a single RapidIO controller. With introduction of devices using
multiple RapidIO controllers and PCIe-to-RapidIO bridges the old scheme
is very limiting or does not work at all. The implemented changes allow
to properly reference platform's local RapidIO mport devices and provide
device details needed for upper layers.
This change to RapidIO device hierarchy does not break any known
existing kernel or user space interfaces.

There is some additional cpuidle driver work, however I haven't
included it in this tree as it depends on some work in tip/timer-core

driver in it, and Stephen has been carrying that in next separately

Now as for the content of this branch, we have a lot of perf work for
power8 new counters including support for our new "nest" counters
(also called 24x7) under pHyp (not natively yet).
We have new functionality when running under the OPAL firmware
(non-virtualized or KVM host), such as access to the firmware error
logs and service processor dumps, system parameters and sensors, along
with a hwmon driver for the latter.
There's also a bunch of bug fixes accross the board, some LE fixes,
and a nice set of selftests for validating our various types of copy
loops.
On the Freescale side, we see mostly new chip/board revisions, some
clock updates, better support for machine checks and debug exceptions,

If we do nothing in suspend/resume, some platform PCIe ip-block
can't guarantee the link back to L0 state from sleep, then, when
we read the EP device will hang. Only we send pme turnoff message
in pci controller suspend, and send pme exit message in resume, the
link state will be normal.
When we send pme turnoff message in pci controller suspend, the
links will into l2/l3 ready, then, host cannot communicate with
ep device, but pci-driver will call back EP device to save them
state. So we need to change platform_driver->suspend/resume to
syscore->suspend/resume.
So the new suspend/resume implementation, send pme turnoff message
in suspend, and send pme exit message in resume. And add a PME handler,
to response PME & message interrupt.
Change platform_driver->suspend/resume to syscore->suspend/resume.
pci-driver will call back EP device, to save EP state in
pci_pm_suspend_noirq, so we need to keep the link, until
pci_pm_suspend_noirq finish.

For PEXCSRBAR, bit 3-0 indicate prefetchable and address type.
So when getting base address, these bits should be masked,
otherwise we may get incorrect base address.

Device tree nodes are already treated as objects, and we already want to
expose them to userspace which is done using the /proc filesystem today.
Right now the kernel has to do a lot of work to keep the /proc view in
sync with the in-kernel representation. If device_nodes are switched to
be kobjects then the device tree code can be a whole lot simpler. It
also turns out that switching to using /sysfs from /proc results in
smaller code and data size, and the userspace ABI won't change if
/proc/device-tree symlinks to /sys/firmware/devicetree/base.

I'm really grumpy about this one. The line:

should have been an alarm sign for all people who added their SOB to
this trainwreck.
When I cleaned up the mess people made with interrupt descriptors a
few years ago, I warned that I'm going to hunt down new offenders and
treat them with stinking trouts. In this case I'll use frozen shark
for a better educational value.
The whole idiocy which was done there could have been avoided with two
lines of perfectly fine code. And do not complain about the lack of
correct examples in tree.
The solution is simple:
Remove the brainfart and use the proper functions, which should
have been used in the first place

Freescale IFC controller has been used for mpc8xxx. It will be used
for ARM-based SoC as well. This patch moves the driver to driver/memory
and fix the header file includes.
Also remove module_platform_driver() and instead call
platform_driver_register() from subsys_initcall() to make sure this module
has been loaded before MTD partition parsing starts.

Commit d084775738 switched the generic
powerpc iommu backend code to use the it_page_shift field to determine
page size. Commit 3a553170d3 should have
initiliased this field for all platforms, however the DART iommu table
code was not updated.
This commit initialises the it_page_shift field to 4K for the DART
iommu.

device_type is deprecated. There is no need to check for it in device
driver code and no need to specify it in the device tree. Remove the
property from stock .dts files and remove the check for it from device
drivers. This change should be 100% backwards compatible with old device
trees.

None of these files are actually using any __init type directives
and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a
left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.
The one instance where we add an include for init.h covers off

To stop putting version numbers in device tree later, we add a
generic compatible 'fsl,qoriq-pcie'.
The version number is readable directly from a register.

On P1020, P1021, P1022, and P1023, eLBC event interrupts are routed
to internal interrupt 3 while ELBC error interrupts are routed to
internal interrupt 0. We need to call request_irq for each.

We currently have a user visible CONFIG_POWERNV_MSI option, but it
doesn't actually disable MSI for powernv. The MSI code is always built,
what it does disable is the inclusion of the MSI bitmap code, which
leads to a build error.
eg, with PPC_POWERNV=y and POWERNV_MSI=n we get:

More prep work for immutable biovecs - with immutable bvecs drivers
won't be able to use the biovec directly, they'll need to use helpers
that take into account bio->bi_iter.bi_bvec_done.
This updates callers for the new usage without changing the
implementation yet.

The current debugfs interface to scom is essentially unused
and racy. It uses two different files "address" and "data"
to perform accesses which is at best impractical for anything
but manual use by a developer.
This replaces it with an "access" file which represent the entire
scom address space which can be lseek/read/writen too.
This file only supports accesses that are 8 bytes aligned and
multiple of 8 bytes in size. The offset is logically the SCOM
address multiplied by 8.
Since nothing in userspace exploits that file at the moment, the ABI
change is a no-brainer.

Several functions are only ever referenced locally, so make them static.
Of those functions, many of them are protected by an #if. However, the
code which can compile fine in either case.
Now that (1) the unneeded code is marked 'static' and (2) the code is
only used under a C 'if (IS_ENABLED(CONFIG_FB_FSL_DIU))', the compiler
can automatically remove the unneeded code, and we don't need the #if or
the empty stub functions.

Freescale platform has class code = 0x0b2000, when it boots. This makes
kernel PCI bus code to setup these devices resulting into the following
notice information when trying to enable them:
pci 0000:00:00.0: ignoring class 0x0b2000 (doesn't match header type 01)
The above information is outputted by judging value of dev->class before
pci_setup_device() function, and the DECLARE_PCI_FIXUP_HEADER quirk runs
after pci_setup_device() function. But the DECLARE_PCI_FIXUP_EARLY quirk
runs before judging value of dev->class and pci_setup_device() function.
So we use the DECLARE_PCI_FIXUP_EARLY macro to fix this issue.

The OF irq handling code has been overloading the term 'map' to refer to
both parsing the data in the device tree and mapping it to the internal
linux irq system. This is probably because the device tree does have the
concept of an 'interrupt-map' function for translating interrupt
references from one node to another, but 'map' is still confusing when
the primary purpose of some of the functions are to parse the DT data.
This patch renames all the of_irq_map_* functions to of_irq_parse_*
which makes it clear that there is a difference between the parsing
phase and the mapping phase. Kernel code can make use of just the
parsing or just the mapping support as needed by the subsystem.
The patch was generated mechanically with a handful of sed commands.

When devices are direct children of a scom controller node, they

Otherwise, we get a debug traceback due to the use of
smp_processor_id() (or get_paca()) inside hard_smp_processor_id().

Following is a brief description of the PAMU hardware:
PAMU determines what action to take and whether to authorize the action on
the basis of the memory address, a Logical IO Device Number (LIODN), and
PAACT table (logically) indexed by LIODN and address. Hardware devices which
need to access memory must provide an LIODN in addition to the memory address.
Peripheral Access Authorization and Control Tables (PAACTs) are the primary
data structures used by PAMU. A PAACT is a table of peripheral access
authorization and control entries (PAACE).Each PAACE defines the range of
I/O bus address space that is accessible by the LIOD and the associated access
capabilities.
There are two types of PAACTs: primary PAACT (PPAACT) and secondary PAACT
(SPAACT).A given physical I/O device may be able to act as one or more
independent logical I/O devices (LIODs). Each such logical I/O device is
assigned an identifier called logical I/O device number (LIODN). A LIODN is
allocated a contiguous portion of the I/O bus address space called the DSA window
for performing DSA operations. The DSA window may optionally be divided into
multiple sub-windows, each of which may be used to map to a region in system
storage space. The first sub-window is referred to as the primary sub-window
and the remaining are called secondary sub-windows.
This patch provides the PAMU driver (fsl_pamu.c) and the corresponding IOMMU
API implementation (fsl_pamu_domain.c). The PAMU hardware driver (fsl_pamu.c)
has been derived from the work done by Ashish Kalra and Timur Tabi.

For Freescale powerpc platform, the PCI-e bus number uses the reassign mode
by default. It means the second PCI-e controller's hose->first_busno is the
first controller's last bus number adding 1. For some hotpluged device(or
controlled by FPGA), the device is linked to PCI-e slot at linux runtime.
It needs rescan for the system to add it and driver it to work. It successes
to rescan the device linked to the first PCI-e controller's slot, but fails to
rescan the device linked to the second PCI-e controller's slot. The cause is
that the bus->number is reset to 0, which isn't equal to the hose->first_busno
for the second controller checking PCI-e link. So it doesn't really check the
PCI-e link status, the link status is always no_link. The device won't be
really rescaned. Reset the bus->number to hose->first_busno in the function
fsl_pcie_check_link(), it will do the real checking PCI-e link status for the
second controller, the device will be rescaned.

The original MPIC MSI bank contains 8 registers, MPIC v4.3 MSI bank
contains 16 registers, and this patch adds NR_MSI_REG_MAX and
NR_MSI_IRQS_MAX to describe the maximum capability of MSI bank.
MPIC v4.3 provides MSIIR1 to index these 16 MSI registers. MSIIR1
uses different bits definition than MSIIR. This patch adds
ibs_shift and srs_shift to indicate the bits definition of the
MSIIR and MSIIR1, so the same code can handle the MSIIR and MSIIR1
simultaneously.

A PCIe erratum of mpc85xx may causes a core hang when a link of PCIe
goes down. when the link goes down, Non-posted transactions issued
via the ATMU requiring completion result in an instruction stall.
At the same time a machine-check exception is generated to the core
to allow further processing by the handler. We implements the handler
which skips the instruction caused the stall.

The driver provides a way to wake up the system by the MPIC timer.
For example,
echo 5 > /sys/devices/system/mpic/timer_wakeup
echo standby > /sys/power/state
After 5 seconds the MPIC timer will generate an interrupt to wake up
the system.

The MPIC global timer is a hardware timer inside the Freescale PIC complying
with OpenPIC standard. When the specified interval times out, the hardware
timer generates an interrupt. The driver currently is only tested on fsl chip,
but it can potentially support other global timers complying to OpenPIC
standard.
The two independent groups of global timer on fsl chip, group A and group B,
are identical in their functionality, except that they appear at different
locations within the PIC register map. The hardware timer can be cascaded to
create timers larger than the default 31-bit global timers. Timer cascade
fields allow configuration of up to two 63-bit timers. But These two groups
of timers cannot be cascaded together.
It can be used as a wakeup source for low power modes. It also could be used
as periodical timer for protocols, drivers and etc.

The patch provide an API to get MPIC version for reusing the code.

checked once at boot time. So hotplug did not work. With this patch the
link status is checked on every config read. PCIe devices not present at
boot time are found after doing 'echo 1 >/sys/bus/pci/rescan'.

set in interrupt destination registers.

This patch adds a new udbg early debug console which utilises
statically defined input and output buffers stored within the kernel
BSS. It is primarily designed to assist with bring up of new hardware
which may not have a working console but which has a method of
reading/writing kernel memory.
This version incorporates comments made by Ben H (thanks!).

The PCI core supports an offset per aperture nowadays but our arch
code still has a single offset per host bridge representing the
difference betwen CPU memory addresses and PCI MMIO addresses.
This is a problem as new machines and hypervisor versions are
coming out where the 64-bit windows will have a different offset
(basically mapped 1:1) from the 32-bit windows.
This fixes it by using separate offsets. In the long run, we probably
want to get rid of that intermediary struct pci_controller and have
those directly stored into the pci_host_bridge as they are parsed
but this will be a more invasive change.

Some interrupt controllers refuse to map interrupts marked as
"protected" by firwmare. Since we try to map everyting in the
device-tree on some platforms, we end up with a lot of nasty
WARN's in the boot log for what is a normal situation on those
machines.
This defines a specific return code (-EPERM) from the host map()
callback which cause irqdomain to fail silently.
MPIC is updated to return this when hitting a protected source
printing only a single line message for diagnostic purposes.

Currently, we wake up a CPU by sending a host IPI with
smp_send_reschedule() to thread 0 of that core, which will take all
threads out of the guest, and cause them to re-evaluate their
interrupt status on the way back in.
This adds a mechanism to differentiate real host IPIs from IPIs sent
by KVM for guest threads to poke each other, in order to target the
guest threads precisely when possible and avoid that global switch of
the core to host state.
We then use this new facility in the in-kernel XICS code.

The EOI handler of MSI/MSI-X interrupts for P8 (PHB3) need additional
steps to handle the P/Q bits in IVE before EOIing the corresponding
interrupt. The patch changes the EOI handler to cover that. we have
individual IRQ chip in each PHB instance. During the MSI IRQ setup
time, the IRQ chip is copied over from the original one for that IRQ,
and the EOI handler is patched with the one that will handle the P/Q
bits (As Ben suggested).

As Michael Ellerman suggested, to add CONFIG_POWERNV_MSI for PowerNV
platform. That's similar to CONFIG_PSERIES_MSI for pSeries platform.
For now, we don't make it dependent on CONFIG_EEH since it's not ready
to enable that yet.
Apart from that, we also enable CONFIG_PPC_MSI_BITMAP on selecting
CONFIG_POWERNV_MSI.

Move to keeping the SoC registers that control and config the PCI
controllers on FSL SoCs in the pci_controller struct. This allows us to
not need to ioremap() the registers in multiple different places that
use them.

This patch converts the Marvell MV643XX ethernet driver to use the
Marvell Orion MDIO driver. As a result, PowerPC and ARM platforms
registering the Marvell MV643XX ethernet driver are also updated to
register a Marvell Orion MDIO driver. This driver voluntarily overlaps
with the Marvell Ethernet shared registers because it will use a subset
of this shared register (shared_base + 0x4 to shared_base + 0x84). The
Ethernet driver is also updated to look up for a PHY device using the
Orion MDIO bus driver.
For ARM and PowerPC we register a single instance of the "mvmdio" driver
in the system like it used to be done with the use of the "shared_smi"
platform_data cookie on ARM.
Note that it is safe to register the mvmdio driver only for the "ge00"
instance of the driver because this "ge00" interface is guaranteed to
always be explicitely registered by consumers of
arch/arm/plat-orion/common.c and other instances (ge01, ge10 and ge11)
were all pointing their shared_smi to ge00. For PowerPC the in-tree
Device Tree Source files mention only one MV643XX ethernet MAC instance
so the MDIO bus driver is registered only when id == 0.

The T4240 utilizes a new PCIe controller block that has some minor
programming model differences from previous versions.
The major one that impacts initialization is how we determine the link
state. On the 3.x controllers we have a memory mapped SoC register
instead of a PCI config register that reports the link state.

moved to drivers/dma (so it will be usable for ColdFire).
mpc5121 now provides common dtsi file and existing mpc5121 device
trees use it. There are some minor clock init and sparse fixes

fixes for bugs in the mpc5121 DIU driver are also included here
(Andrew Morton suggested to push them via my mpc5xxx tree).

The pci controller structure has a provision to store the device structure
pointer of the corresponding platform device. Currently this information is
not stored during fsl pci controller initialization. This information is
required while dealing with iommu groups for pci devices connected to the
fsl pci controller. For the case where the pci devices can't be paritioned,
they would fall under the same device group as the pci controller.
This patch stores the platform device information in the pci controller
structure during initialization.

Fix and/or improve the compatible strings of the PCI device tree nodes for
some Freescale SOCs. This fixes some issues and improves consistency among
the SOCs.
Specifically:
1) The P1022 has a v1 PCIe controller, so the compatible property should just
say "fsl,mpc8548-pcie". U-Boot does not look for "fsl,p1022-pcie", so it
wasn't fixing up the node.
2) The P4080 has a v2.1 PCIe controller, so add that version-specific string
to the device tree. Update the kernel to also look for that string.
Currently, the kernel looks for "fsl,p4080-pcie" specifically, but
eventually that check should be deleted.
3) The P1010 device tree claims compatibility with v2.2 and v2.3, but that's
redundant. No other device tree does this. Remove the v2.2 string.
4) The kernel looks for both "fsl,p1023-pcie" and "fsl,qoriq-pcie-v2.2",
even though the P1023 device trees has always included both strings. Remove
the search for "fsl,p1023-pcie".

It seems, we're fine with just annotating the two functions.

Finally remove the two level TOC and build with -mcmodel=medium.
Unfortunately we can't build modules with -mcmodel=medium due to
the tricks the kernel module loader plays with percpu data:
# -mcmodel=medium breaks modules because it uses 32bit offsets from
# the TOC pointer to create pointers where possible. Pointers into the
# percpu data area are created by this method.
#
# The kernel module loader relocates the percpu data section from the
# original location (starting with 0xd...) to somewhere in the base
# kernel percpu data space (starting with 0xc...). We need a full
# 64bit relocation for this to work, hence -mcmodel=large.
On older kernels we fall back to the two level TOC (-mminimal-toc)

CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev*
markings need to be removed.
This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata,
__devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers.
Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me
in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand.

The bestcomm dma hardware, and some of its users like the FEC ethernet
component, is used in different FreeScale parts, including non-powerpc
parts like the ColdFire MCF547x & MCF548x families. Don't keep the
driver hidden in arch/powerpc where it is inaccessible for other arches.
.c files are moved to drivers/dma/bestcomm, while .h files are moved to
include/linux/fsl/bestcomm. Makefiles, Kconfigs and #include directives
are updated for the new file locations.
Tested by recompiling for MPC5200 with all bestcomm users enabled.

Commit c22618a1, "drivers/of: Constify device_node->name and
->path_component_name" changes device_node name to a const value, but
the PowerPC scom code still assigns it to a non-void field in
debugfs_blob_wrapper. The /right/ solution might be to change the
debugfs_blob_wrapper->data to also be const, but that is a bit
risky. Instead, cast the value to (void*). It is a bit ugly, but it
is the safest change until it can be investigated where
debugfs_blob_wrapper can be modified.

Power supply for PCI controller ATMU registers is off when system go to
deep-sleep state. So ATMU registers should be re-setup during PCI
controllers resume from sleep.

Neither of these should ever be changed once set. Make them const and
fix up the users that try to modify it in-place. In one case
kmalloc+memcpy is replaced with kstrdup() to avoid modifying the string.
Build tested with defconfigs on ARM, PowerPC, Sparc, MIPS, x86 among
others.
