590b7795b3 mfd: Add documentation for atmel-hlcdc DT bindings
The HLCDC IP available on some Atmel SoCs (i.e. at91sam9n12, at91sam9x5
family or sama5d3 family) exposes 2 subdevices:
- a display controller (controlled by a DRM driver)
- a PWM chip

This patch adds documentation for atmel-hlcdc DT bindings.

b64c6887f4 mfd: dt-bindings: twl4030-power: Use the standard property to mark power control
ti,system-power-controller is more or less the standard way of
indicating that the PMIC is the system wide power controller and hence
may be used to switch off the system. Almost ALL TI PMIC drivers and
many Maxim PMIC drivers follow the same style.

So support 'ti,system-power-controller' in addition to the usual
'ti,use_poweroff' to indicate that the PMIC instance has control for
switching off the system.

c896e68ec1 mfd: syscon: Add Atmel GPBR DT bindings documention
The GPBR block provides a set of battery-backed registers that can be used
to save data which need to be kept when the system is powered down and
VDD-core is maintained by an external battery.

A typical usage is the RTT block (when used as an RTC) which needs one of
those registers to save the current time.

4eb9560b8f mfd: sun6i-prcm: Add support for Allwinner A23 PRCM
The Allwinner A23 SoC has a PRCM unit like the previous A31 SoC.
The differences are the AR100 clock can no longer be modified,
the APB0 clock has different divisors, and some clock gates are
gone.

This patch adds a compatible with a modified subdevice list for
the A23.

c5aec4c76a Merge branch 'next' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/benh/powerpc
Pull powerpc updates from Ben Herrenschmidt:
"Here is the bulk of the powerpc changes for this merge window. It got
a bit delayed in part because I wasn't paying attention, and in part
because I discovered I had a core PCI change without a PCI maintainer
ack in it. Bjorn eventually agreed it was ok to merge it though we'll
probably improve it later and I didn't want to rebase to add his ack.

There is going to be a bit more next week, essentially fixes that I
still want to sort through and test.

The biggest item this time is the support to build the ppc64 LE kernel
with our new v2 ABI. We previously supported v2 userspace but the
kernel itself was a tougher nut to crack. This is now sorted mostly
  thanks to Anton and Rusty.

We also have a fairly big series from Cedric that add support for
64-bit LE zImage boot wrapper. This was made harder by the fact that
traditionally our zImage wrapper was always 32-bit, but our new LE
toolchains don't really support 32-bit anymore (it's somewhat there
but not really "supported") so we didn't want to rely on it. This
meant more churn that just endian fixes.

This brings some more LE bits as well, such as the ability to run in
LE mode without a hypervisor (ie. under OPAL firmware) by doing the
right OPAL call to reinitialize the CPU to take HV interrupts in the
right mode and the usual pile of endian fixes.

There's another series from Gavin adding EEH improvements (one day we
*will* have a release with less than 20 EEH patches, I promise!).

Another highlight is the support for the "Split core" functionality on
P8 by Michael. This allows a P8 core to be split into "sub cores" of
4 threads which allows the subcores to run different guests under KVM
(the HW still doesn't support a partition per thread).

And then the usual misc bits and fixes ..."

[ Further delayed by gmail deciding that BenH is a dirty spammer.
  Google knows. ]

43fef47f94 mfd: twl4030-power: Add a configuration to turn off oscillator during off-idle
Some oscillators can be turned off during off-idle saving few

76714d2c09 mfd: twl4030-power: Add recommended idle configuration
These settings are based on the "Recommended Sleep Sequences for
the Zoom Platform".

The settings assume most of the regulators are under control of
Linux, and twl4030 only cuts off VDD1 and VDD2 during off-idle as
Linux cannot do it.

For any board specific changes to these, let's patch them in as
changes to the generic data in the follow-up patches. This keeps
the board specific changes small.

Note that this does not consider the twl5030 errata 27 and 28.
That can be added later on after it has been tested. For more

e7cd1d1eb1 mfd: twl4030-power: Add generic reset configuration
The twl4030 PMIC needs to be configured properly for things like
warm reset and deeper idle states so the PMIC manages the regulators
properly based on the hardware triggers from the SoC. Earlier
we have configured twl4030 using platform data, but we want to
do it for device tree based booting also.

In some cases configuring twl4030 is needed for things to work.
For example, when rebooting an OMAP3530 at 125 MHz, it hangs.
With this patch, TWL4030 will be reset when a warm reset occures,
and OMAP3530 does not hang on reboot.

Let's add device tree support and configure things for warm reset
as the default when compatible = "ti,twl4030-power". More
complicated configurations can be added to the driver based on
other compatible flags.

Note we now also make the pdata const like it should be.
This allows use it for match->data with the device tree
related functions.

and Lesly A M <leslyam@ti.com>.

7e21774db5 The first half of the clk framework pull request is made up almost
entirely of new platform/driver support. There are some conversions of
existing drivers to the common-clock Device Tree binding, and a few
 non-critical fixes to the framework.

Due to an entirely unnecessary cyclical dependency with the arm-soc tree
this pull request is broken into two pieces. The second piece will be
sent out after arm-soc sends you the pull request that merged in core
support for the HiSilicon 3620 platform. That same pull request from
arm-soc depends on this pull request to merge in those HiSilicon bits
 without causing build failures.

74b9272bbe Device tree updates for v3.11
This branch contains the following changes:
 - Removal of CONFIG_OF_DEVICE, it is always enabled by CONFIG_OF
 - Remove #ifdef from linux/of_platform.h to increase compiler syntax
   coverage
 - Bug fix for address decoding on Bimini and js2x powerpc platforms.
 - miscellaneous binding changes

One note on the above. The binding changes going in from all kinds of
different trees has gotten rather out of hand. I picked up some during
this cycle, but even going though my tree isn't a great fit. Ian
Campbell has prototyped splitting the bindings and .dtb files into a
separate repository. The plan is to migrate to using that sometime in
the next few kernel releases which should get rid of a lot of the churn
on binding docs and .dts files.

4ab6174e8c mfd: Add ChromeOS EC implementation
This is the base EC implementation, which provides a high level
interface to the EC for use by the rest of the kernel. The actual
communcations is dealt with by a separate protocol driver which
registers itself with this interface.

Interrupts are passed on through a notifier.

A simple message structure is used to pass messages to the
protocol driver.

d52701d39e mfd: ab8500: Kill "reg" property from binding
The ab8500 device is a child of the prcmu device, which is a memory mapped
bus device, whose children are addressable using physical memory addresses,
not using mailboxes, so a mailbox number in the ab8500 node cannot be
parsed by DT. Nothing uses this number, since it was only introduced
as part of the failed attempt to clean up prcmu mailbox handling, and
we can simply remove it.

ab7826595e This is the MFD pull request for the 3.9 merge window.
No new drivers this time, but a bunch of fairly big cleanups:

 - Roger Quadros worked on a OMAP USBHS and TLL platform data consolidation,
OMAP5 support and clock management code cleanup.

 - The first step of a major sync for the ab8500 driver from Lee Jones. In
particular, the debugfs and the sysct interfaces got extended and improved.

 - Peter Ujfalusi sent a nice patchset for cleaning and fixing the twl-core
driver, with a much needed module id lookup code improvement.

 - The regular wm5102 and arizona cleanups and fixes from Mark Brown.

 - Laxman Dewangan extended the palmas APIs in order to implement the palmas
   GPIO and rt drivers.

 - Laxman also added DT support for the tps65090 driver.

 - The Intel SCH and ICH drivers got a couple fixes from Aaron Sierra and
   Darren Hart.

 - Linus Walleij patchset for the ab8500 driver allowed ab8500 and ab9540 based
devices to switch to the new abx500 pin-ctrl driver.

 - The max8925 now has device tree and irqdomain support thanks to Qing Xu.

 - The recently added rtsx driver got a few cleanups and fixes for a better
card detection code path and now also supports the RTS5227 chipset, thanks
to Wei Wang and Roger Tseng.

2dfea3803d This is the MFD patch set for the 3.8 merge window.
We have several new drivers, most of the time coming with their sub devices
 drivers:

 - Austria Microsystem's AS3711
 - Nano River's viperboard
 - TI's TPS80031, AM335x TS/ADC,
 - Realtek's MMC/memstick card reader
 - Nokia's retu

We also got some notable cleanups and improvements:

 - tps6586x got converted to IRQ domains.
 - tps65910 and tps65090 moved to the regmap IRQ API.
 - STMPE is now Device Tree aware.
 - A general twl6040 and twl-core cleanup, with moves to the regmap I/O and IRQ
APIs and a conversion to the recently added PWM framework.
 - sta2x11 gained regmap support.

Then the rest is mostly tiny cleanups and fixes, among which we have Mark's
 wm5xxx and wm8xxx patchset.

Far amount of annoying but largely trivial conflicts. Many due to
__devinit/exit removal, others due to one or two of the new drivers also
having come in through another tree.

cc899bc3dc Documentation: Fix historical inconsistency in STMPE DT doc
Previously a generic binding 'i2c-client-wake' was created which
enabled I2C devices to register themselves as wake-up devices.
This binding was later over-thrown by 'wakeup-source'. The STMPE
driver was fixed-up, but the document was neglected. This patch
aims to rectify that.
