The OMAP mailbox platform driver code has been cleaned up to
remove the dependencies with soc.h in preparation for moving
the mailbox code to drivers folder.
The code relied on cpu_is_xxx/soc_is_xxx macros previously to
pick the the right set of mailbox devices and register with the
mailbox driver. This data is now represented in a concise format
and moved to the respective omap_hwmod data files and published
to the driver through the platform data.

SmartReflex driver interface is natively divided to two parts:
- external SmartReflex interface
- interface between SmartReflex driver and SmartReflex Class
Functions which belong to AVS class interface can use
struct omap_sr* instead of struct voltatedomain*, to provide a
direct connection between SR driver and SR class. This allows
us to optimize and not do additional lookups where none is
required.
sr_enable() and sr_disable() are interface functions between
SR driver and SR class. They are typically used by Class driver
to enable/disable SmartReflex hardware module.
Now they take struct omap_sr* as input parameter.

Adding the hwmod data for OMAP54xx SOCs.
Additional changes done on top of initial SOC data files.
- The IO resource information like dma request lines, irq number and
ocp address space can be populated via dt blob. So such data is stripped
from OMAP5 SOC hwmod data file.
- SDMA IO resource information is still kept since dmaengine work
is till ongoing. Once the legacy dma platform driver becomes obsolete,
SDMA io space information can be removed.
- The devices like dss, aess, usb which are missing the device tree bindings,
hwmod data is not added since OMAP5 is DT only build. When such devices add
the dt bindings, respective hwmod data can be added along with it.
With above update, we now need about ~2000 loc vs ~6000 loc with previous
version of the patch for OMAP5 hwmod data file. Ofcourse with addition of
few more drivers it can go upto ~2400 loc which is still better than the
earlier version.

AM33XX only supports DT boot mode and with addition of
extracting module resources like, irq, dma and address space
from DT block, so now we can remove duplicate information from
hwmod data file.
This patch cleanups-up/deletes,
- All references to "omap_hwmod_irq_info" data.
- All references to "omap_hwmod_dma_info" data.
- References to "omap_hwmod_addr_space" of the modules
for which DT node is available with required address
space information.
- For the modules where "sysc" field is not applicable,
we don't need module address space, so remove them as well.
- The hwmod like firewall etc which are not useful are also
deleted.
This cleanup gets us around ~1100 LOC of negative diff.
Patch is boot tested on AM335x-EVM along with below modules -
- Matrix-keypad
- Volume up/down keys
- Ethernet
- RTC
- WDT

omap36xx_pwrdn_clk_enable_with_hsdiv_restore expects the parent hw of
the clock to be a clk_hw_omap. However, looking at cclock3xxx_data.c,
all concerned clock have parent defined as clk_divider. Fix the
function to use clk_divider. Tested with 3.9 on dm3730.

The "runtime idle" helper routine, rpm_idle(), currently ignores
return values from .runtime_idle() callbacks executed by it.
However, it turns out that many subsystems use
pm_generic_runtime_idle() which checks the return value of the
driver's callback and executes pm_runtime_suspend() for the device
unless that value is not 0. If that logic is moved to rpm_idle()
instead, pm_generic_runtime_idle() can be dropped and its users
will not need any .runtime_idle() callbacks any more.
Moreover, the PCI, SCSI, and SATA subsystems' .runtime_idle()
routines, pci_pm_runtime_idle(), scsi_runtime_idle(), and
ata_port_runtime_idle(), respectively, as well as a few drivers'
ones may be simplified if rpm_idle() calls rpm_suspend() after 0 has
been returned by the .runtime_idle() callback executed by it.
To reduce overall code bloat, make the changes described above.

The UART2 hwmod structure is pointing to the EDMA channels of UART1,
which doesn't look right. This patch fixes this by making the UART2
hwmod structure to a new structure that lists the EDMA channels to be
used by the UART2.

Commit a819c4f1 (ARM: OMAP3: PM: Only access IVA if one exists)
changed PM to not access IVA registers on omaps that don't have
them. Turns out we still need to idle iva2 as otherwise
iva2_pwrdm will stay on and block deeper idle states.
It seems that the only part of the reset that may not be needed
is the setting of the iva2 boot mode to idle. But as that register
seems to be there and is harmless if no iva2 is on the SoC, it's
probably safest to do the complete reset.

OMAP UART IP needs software control for slave idle modes based on functional
state of the IP. i.e The IP slave idle settings should be set to 'noidle' when
being used and then put back to 'smart_idle' when unused. Currently this is
handled by the driver with function pointers implemented in platform code.
This however breaks in case of device tree because of missing idle handling
APIs.
Previous patches in this series added a flag HWMOD_SWSUP_SIDLE_ACTIVE which
takes care of the mentioned requirement. Hence add the flag for all UART IPs
to take advantage of feature supported by framework.
Subsequent patches removes the slave idle handling from driver code.

Some IPs (like UART) need the sidle mode to be controlled in SW only
while they are active. Once they go inactive, they need the IP to be
put back in HW control so they are also wakeup capable.
The flag HWMOD_SWSUP_SIDLE takes care of IPs which need the sidle
mode to be *always* controlled in SWSUP. We now have a need to control
IPs sidle mode in SWSUP only while its active.
So define a new flag 'HWMOD_SWSUP_SIDLE_ACT' to help the framework
know about these new IP requirements.

_enable_sysc() and _idle_sysc() handle the midle mode programming correctly
and program HWMOD_IDLEMODE_SMART or HWMOD_IDLEMODE_SMART_WKUP respectively
for supported IPs (The ones which support hardware controlled midle modes)
However the same programming logic is missing when it comes to sidle mode
programming. Here they seem to just set HWMOD_IDLEMODE_SMART (Again for the
ones which support hardware controlled sidle modes)
This problem was hidden due to the fact that a call to _enable_wakeup()
in those same functions would overwrite the idlemodes and program them
correctly (to HWMOD_IDLEMODE_SMART_WKUP in the supported cases)
So fix the sidlemode handling correctly in these functions and handle the
_enable_wakeup() for SIDLEMODE supported IPs same as the way its handled
for MIDLEMODE supported ones.

It is required to enable respective clock-domain before
enabling any clock/module inside that clock-domain.
During common-clock migration, .clkdm_name field got missed
for "clkdiv32k_ick" clock, which leaves "clk_24mhz_clkdm"
unused; so it will be disabled even if childs of this clock-domain
is enabled, which keeps child modules in idle mode.
This fixes the kernel crash observed on AM335xEVM-SK platform,
where clkdiv32_ick clock is being used as a gpio debounce clock
and since clkdiv32k_ick is in idle mode it leads to below crash -

Commit 8c8a777 (ARM: OMAP2+: Add function to read GPMC settings from
device-tree) added a device-tree property "gpmc,device-nand" to indicate
is the GPMC child device is NAND. This commit should have updated the
GPMC NAND documentation (Documentation/devicetree/bindings/mtd/gpmc-nand.txt)
to list the property "gpmc,device-nand" as a required property and also
updated the example. However, this property is redundant and not needed
because the GPMC child device node for NAND is called "nand". Therefore,
remove this property.

OMAP devices support various NAND transfer modes.
Currently all device-tree definitions will use the default "prefetch
polled" mode, so this patch enables the transfer mode to be specified
in the device-tree.

This patch removes omap2_nand_gpmc_retime() which was used to quirk
some timing values before gpmc_cs_set_timings(). Due to recent changes,
gpmc_cs_set_timings() has evolved so that there is no more need for a
retime function.
To keep the gpmc configuration consistent for legacy board files, this
patch also adds oe_on and we_on to nand_default_timings[] as they
would be by the retime function.

Remove "no_idle_on_suspend" check, since respective
driver should be able to prevent idling of an
omap device whenever required.
Driver's can get same behavior by just returning -EBUSY
from their ->runtime_suspend only during suspend.

If DEBUG_LL and earlyprintk are enabled, and omap-serial.c is compiled
as a module, the kernel boot hangs early as the clocks for serial port
are cut while earlyprintk still uses the port.
The problem is a race between the late_initcall for omap_device (which
idles devices that have no drivers) and the late_initcall in
kernel/printk.c which turns off the earlyconsole. Any printks
that happen between this omap_device late initcall and the earlyconsole
late initcall will crash when accessing the UART.
The fix is to ensure the omap_device initcall happens after the
earlyconsole initcall.

Commit 9fdca9df (spi: omap2-mcspi: convert to module_platform_driver)
broke the SPI display/panel driver probe on RX-51/N900. The exact cause is
not fully understood, but it seems to be related to the probe order. SPI
communication to the panel driver (spi1.2) fails unless the touchscreen
(spi1.0) has been probed/initialized before. When the omap2-mcspi driver
was converted to a platform driver, it resulted in that the devices are
probed immediately after the board registers them in the order they are
listed in the board file.
Fix the issue by moving the touchscreen before the panel in the SPI
device list.

On Beagle xM Rev. Ax/Bx, the USB power enable GPIO logic is
reversed when compared to other revisions i.e. it is
active high instead of active low.
Use the beagle_config.usb_pwr_level flag correctly so that
the power regulator can be configured at runtime.

I badly screwed up the merge in commit 6fa52ed33b ("Merge tag
'drivers-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/.../arm-soc") by
incorrectly taking the arch/arm/mach-omap2/* data fully from the merge
target because the 'drivers-for-linus' branch seemed to be a proper
superset of the duplicate ARM commits.
That was bogus: commit ff931c821b ("ARM: OMAP: clocks: Delay clk inits
atleast until slab is initialized") only existed in head, and the
changes to arch/arm/mach-omap2/timer.c from that commit got list.
Re-doing the merge more carefully, I do think this part was the only
thing I screwed up. Knock wood.

After the device names are created using PLATFORM_DEVID_AUTO, the old
device names given in usb_bind_phy are no longer valid causing the musb
controller not to get the phy reference. Updated the usb_bind_phy with
the new device names to get MUSB functional in omap4 panda.

Looks like the timer.c fixes in commit ff931c82 (ARM: OMAP: clocks:
Delay clk inits atleast until slab is initialized) got lost in a
merge with da4a686a (ARM: smp_twd: convert to use CLKSRC_OF init).
Without the omap_clk_init() calls none of OMAP family of devices
boot.

clocksource maintainers take care of these in the future.

modernization of its device drivers this time around, which
unfortunately is also the cause for the churn and a lot of the
merge conflicts.
There is one new subsystem that gets merged as part of this series:
the reset controller interface, which is a very simple interface
for taking devices on the SoC out of reset or back into reset.
Patches to use this interface on i.MX follow later in this merge
window, and we are going to have other platforms (at least tegra
and sirf) get converted in 3.11. This will let us get rid of

Commit 8a6201b9 (ARM: OMAP2+: Fix unmet direct dependencies for zoom
for 8250 serial) fixed unmet direct dependencies for 8250, but failed
to do the same for omap serial. This can cause the following warning:
warning: (ARCH_OMAP2PLUS_TYPICAL) selects SERIAL_OMAP which has
unmet direct dependencies (TTY && HAS_IOMEM && GENERIC_HARDIRQS &&
ARCH_OMAP2PLUS).
We should not select drivers, they should be selected by the
user. Fix the issue by removing the select and adding them to
omap2plus_defconfig instead.

There is only _one_ use of IS_ERR_VALUE() in arch/arm which is really
appropriate, and that is in arch/arm/include/asm/syscall.h:

omap_hwmod_lookup() only returns NULL on error, never an error pointer.
Checking the returned pointer using IS_ERR_OR_NULL() is needless
overhead. Use a simple !ptr check instead.
OMAP devices (oh->od) always have a valid platform device attached (see
omap_device_alloc()) so there's no point validating the platform device
pointer (we will have already oopsed long before if this is not the
case here.)
Lastly, oh->od is only ever NULL or a valid omap device pointer - 'oh'
comes from the statically declared hwmod tables, and the pointer is
only filled in by omap_device_alloc() at a point where the omap device
pointer must be valid.

The GPMC DT probe function use for_each_node_by_name() to search
child device nodes of the GPMC controller. But this function does
not use the GPMC device node as the root of the search and instead
search across the complete Device Tree.
This means that any device node on the DT that is using any of the
GPMC child nodes names searched for will be returned even if they
are not connected to the GPMC, making the gpmc_probe_xxx_child()
function to fail.
Fix this by using the GPMC device node as the search root so the
search will be restricted to its children.

CONFIG_ARCH_OMAP2PLUS depends on (ARCH_MULTI_V6 || ARCH_MULTI_V7) as of
a0694861 "ARM: OMAP2+: Enable ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM support", but the
individual OMAP2/3/4/5 and AM33XX platforms can all be selected independent
of what we are building for, which is a bug and prevents us from easily
building e.g. an ARMv7-only defconfig.
This makes ARCH_OMAP2 depend on ARCH_MULTI_V6 and the others depend on
ARCH_MULTI_V7, to ensure we really only build the platforms for the
CPUs we have enabled in the global multiplatform configuration step.

means it is not necessary to specify this flag.

In a previous commit the en_core_tk_irqen flag has been added but we missed
the cpuidle_wrap_enter which was doing the job to measure the time for the
'omap3_enter_idle' function.
Actually, I don't see any reason to use this wrapper in the code. In the better
case, the time computation is not correctly done because of the different
operations done in omap3_enter_idle_bm which were not taken into account
before the en_core_tk_irqen flag was set.
As the time is reflected for the state overridden by the omap3_enter_idle_bm,
using the wrapper is pointless now, so removing it.

a dependency between the driver and arch/arm related code.

Tomi's tree. As Tomi's driver changes are getting merged via

This converts arm and arm64 to use CLKSRC_OF DT based initialization for
the arch timer. A new function arch_timer_arch_init is added to allow for
arch specific setup.
This has a side effect of enabling sched_clock on omap5 and exynos5. There
should not be any reason not to use the arch timers for sched_clock.

Commit 92702df357 ("ARM: OMAP4: PM: fix PM regression introduced by recent
clock cleanup") makes the 'ocp2scp_usb_phy_phy_48m' as optional
functional clock causing regression in MUSB. But this 48MHz clock is a
mandatory clock for usb phy attached to ocp2scp and hence made as the main
clock for ocp2scp.

As multi-platform build is being adopted by more and more ARM platforms,
initcall function should be used very carefully. For example, when
CONFIG_ARM_OMAP2PLUS_CPUFREQ is built in the kernel, omap_cpufreq_init()
will be called on all the platforms to initialize omap-cpufreq driver.
Further, on OMAP, we now use Soc generic cpufreq-cpu0 driver using device
tree entries. To allow cpufreq-cpu0 and omap-cpufreq drivers to co-exist
for OMAP in a single image, we need to ensure the following:
1. With device tree boot, we use cpufreq-cpu0
2. With non device tree boot, we use omap-cpufreq
In the case of (1), we will have cpu OPPs and regulator registered
as part of the device tree nodes, to ensure that omap-cpufreq
and cpufreq-cpu0 don't conflict in managing the frequency of the
same CPU, we should not permit omap-cpufreq to be probed.
In the case of (2), we will not have the cpufreq-cpu0 device, hence
only omap-cpufreq will be active.
To eliminate this undesired these effects, we change omap-cpufreq
driver to have it instantiated as a platform_driver and register
"omap-cpufreq" device only when booted without device tree nodes on
OMAP platforms.
This allows the following:
a) Will only run on platforms that create the platform_device
"omap-cpufreq".
b) Since the platform_device is registered only when device tree nodes
are *not* populated, omap-cpufreq driver does not conflict with
the usage of cpufreq-cpu0 driver which is used on OMAP platforms when
device tree nodes are present.

The TWD and SCU configs are selected by default as long as
MSM_SCORPIONMP is false and/or MCT is false. Implementing the
logic this way certainly saves lines in the Kconfig but it
precludes those machines which select MSM_SCORPIONMP or MCT from
participating in the single zImage effort because when those
machines are combined with other SMP capable machines the TWD and
SCU are no longer selected by default.
Push the select out to the machine entries so that we can compile
these machines together and still select the appropriate configs.

OMAP5 has backward compatible PRCM block and it's programming
model is mostly similar to OMAP4. Same is going to be maintained
for future OMAP4 based SOCs. Hence consolidate the OMAP4 power
management code so that it can be re-used on OMAP5 and later devices.
While at it, update the kernel-doc for omap4_pm_init().

IP block with OMAP4. It's programming model is mostly similar.
Hence consolidate the OMAP MPUSS code so that it can be re-used
on OMAP5 and future SOCs.

Current CPU PM code code make use of common cpu_suspend() path for all the
CPU power states which is not optimal. In fact cpu_suspend() path is needed
only when we put CPU power domain to off state where the CPU context is lost.
Update the code accordingly so that the expensive cpu_suspend() path
can be avoided for the shallow CPU power states like CPU PD INA/CSWR.
The patch has been tested on OMAP4430 and OMAP5430(with few out of tree patches)
devices for suspend and CPUidle.

The OMAP5 idle driver can re-use most of OMAP4 CPUidle driver
implementation. Also the next derivative SOCs are going to re-use
the MPUSS so, same driver with minor updates can be re-used.
Prepare the code so that its easier to add CPUidle support for
OMAP5 devices.

Current OMAP4 CPUIdle driver is using omap4_mpuss_read_prev_context_state()
to check whether the MPU cluster lost context or not before calling
cpu_cluster_pm_exit(). This was initially done an optimization for
corner cases, where if the cluster low power entry fails for some
reason, the cluster context restore gets skipped. However, since
reading the previous context is expensive (involving slow accesses to
the PRCM), it's better to avoid it and simply check the target cluster
state instead.
Moving forward, OMAP CPUidle drivers needs to be moved to drivers/idle/*
once the PRM/CM code gets moved to drivers. This patch also reduces one
dependency with platform code for idle driver movement.

In some situations it is useful for userspace to
know some SoC-specific information. For example,
this may be used for deciding what kernel module to
use or how to better configure some settings etc.
This patch exports OMAP SoC information to userspace
using existing in Linux kernel SoC infrastructure.

Update the DMTIMER compatibility property to reflect the register level
compatibilty between devices and update the various OMAP/AM timer
bindings with the appropriate compatibility string.
By doing this we can add platform specific data applicable to specific
timer versions to the driver. For example, errata flags can be populated
for the timer versions that are impacted.

OMAP hwmod layer does the reset of the IPs in early code so that
we have SOC in sane state. To do the soft-reset, it needs to ioremap()
the IP address space to be able to write to sysconfig registers.
But there are few hwmod which doesn't have sysconfig registers and hence
no need to ioremap() them in early init code.
Prevent calling the _init_mpu_rt_base() conditional based on sysc
availability.

DevKit8000 is a beagle board clone from Timll, sold by
armkits.com. The DevKit8000 has RS232 serial port, LCD, DVI-D,
S-Video, Ethernet, SD/MMC, keyboard, camera, SPI, I2C, USB and
JTAG interface.
Add the basic DT support for devkit8000. It includes:

If device-tree is present, then do not create the PMU device from within
the OMAP specific PMU code. This is required to allow device-tree to
create the PMU device from the PMU device-tree node.
PMU is not currently supported for OMAP4430 (due to a dependency on
having a cross-trigger interface driver) and so ensure that this
indicated on boot with or without device-tree.

selection of the clocksource timer for OMAP3 and AM335x devices

While waking up CPU from off state using clock domain force wakeup, restore
the CPU power state to ON state before putting CPU clock domain under
hardware control. Otherwise CPU wakeup might fail. The change is recommended
for all OMAP4+ devices though the PRCM weakness was observed on OMAP5
devices first.
As a result of weakness, lock-up is observed inside the hardware state
machine of local CPU PRCM and results are UN-predictable as per designers.
In software testing, we have seen hard-locks most of the time where system
gets frozen. With power domain state restored, system behaves correctly.
So update the code accordingly.

gpio reset info is passed to the tfp410 panel driver via the panel's platform
data struct 'tfp410_platform_data'. The tfp driver doesn't use the reset_gpio

The dss-common file currently requests gpios required by the picodlp DPI
panel on the 4430sdp/blaze board. It also requests DISPLAY_SEL_GPIO and
DLP_POWER_ON_GPIO gpios which are board specific gpios to switch between lcd2
panel and picodlp, and setting intermediate power supplies for picodlp
respectively. These gpios are toggled through platform_enable/disable functions
called by the picodlp driver.
Remove the gpio requests for the gpios which are already requested by the panel
driver, and remove the platform callback functions and set the platform specific
gpios in such a way that lcd2 panel is selected for the LCD2 overlay manager and
the power supplies for picodlp are disabled.
Note: We need to revisit this so that we can enable and switch to picodlp if
that's the only panel driver available for the LCD2 overlay manager.

panel, and provides platform_enable/disable callbacks to configure them.
These tasks have been moved to the sharp_ls panel driver itself and shouldn't
be done in the board files.

Add the gpio information to panel_sharp_ls037v7dw01_data so that it's
passed to the panel driver.
Out of sharp panel's configurable pins, all apart from resb_gpio are managed by
a CPLD on the display and set to a default value. Only the configurable pin is
passed to platform data.
The backlight GPIO doesn't go directly to the sharp panel, it is used to set up
a voltage supply which goes to the LED+ pin of the panel, hence it isn't passed
to panel as platform data, and configured in the board file itself. The
backlight used to previously toggle through the platform_enable/disable
callbacks, but now it is always on. This needs to be revisited.

Besides being used to interface with external memory devices,
the General-Purpose Memory Controller can be used to connect
Pseudo-SRAM devices such as ethernet controllers to OMAP2+
processors using the TI GPMC as a data bus.
This patch allows an ethernet chip to be defined as an GPMC
child device node.

The gpmc_probe_nor_child() function is used in the GPMC driver to
configure the GPMC for a NOR child device node.
But this function is quite generic and all the NOR specific configuration
is made by the driver of the actual NOR flash memory used.
Other Pseudo-SRAM devices such as ethernet controllers need a similar
setup so by making this function generic it can be used for those too.

gpmc_probe_nor_child() calls of_platform_device_create() to create a
platform device for the NOR child. If this function fails the value
of ret is returned to the caller but this value is zero since it was
assigned the return of a previous call to gpmc_cs_program_settings()
that had to succeed or otherwise gpmc_probe_nor_child() would have
returned before.
This means that if of_platform_device_create() fails, 0 will be returned
to the caller instead of an appropriate error code.

When the GPMC driver is probed, we call gpmc_mem_init() to see which
chip-selects have already been configured and enabled by the boot-loader
and allocate space for them. If we fail to allocate space for one
chip-select, then we return failure from the probe and the GPMC driver
will not be available.
Rather than render the GPMC useless for all GPMC devices, if we fail to
allocate space for one chip-select print a warning and disable the
chip-select. This way other GPMC clients can still be used.
There is no downside to this approach, because all GPMC clients need to
request a chip-select before they can use the GPMC and on requesting a
chip-select, if memory has not already been reserved for the chip-select
then it will be.

Each GPMC chip-select can be configured to map 16MB, 32MB, 64MB or 128MB
of address space. The physical base address where a chip-select starts
is also configurable and must be aligned on a boundary that is equal to
or greater than the size of the address space mapped bt the chip-select.
When enabling a GPMC chip-select, ensure that the base address is aligned
to the appropriate boundary.

When booting with device-tree, retrieve GPMC settings for ONENAND from
the device-tree blob. This will allow us to remove all static settings
stored in the gpmc-nand.c in the future once the migration to
device-tree is complete.
The user must now specify the ONENAND device width in the device-tree
binding so that the GPMC can be programmed correctly. Therefore, update
the device-tree binding documentation for ONENAND devices connected to
the GPMC to reflect this.
Please note that this does not include GPMC timings for ONENAND. The
timings are being calculated at runtime.
There is some legacy code that only enables read wait monitoring for
non-OMAP3 devices. There are no known OMAP3 device issues that prevent
this feature being enabled and so when booting with device-tree use the
wait-monitoring settings described in the device-tree blob.

Some of the GPMC timings parameters are currently missing from the GPMC
device-tree binding. Add these parameters to the binding documentation
as well as code to read them. Also add either "-ps" or "-ns" suffix to
the GPMC timing properties to indicate whether the timing is in
picoseconds or nanoseconds.
The existing code in gpmc_read_timings_dt() is checking the value of
of_property_read_u32() and only is successful storing the value read
in the gpmc_timings structure. Checking the return value in this case
is not necessary and we can simply read the value, if present, and
store directly in the gpmc_timings structure. Therefore, simplify the
code by removing these checks.
The comment in the gpmc_read_timings_dt() function, "only for OMAP3430"
is also incorrect as it is applicable to all OMAP3+ devices. So correct
this too.

Structs for platform data of omapdss panels are found in headers in the
'include/video/' path. Board files populate these structs with platform
specific values, and the panel driver uses these to configure the panel.
Currently, each panel has it's own header in the above path. Move all the
omapdss panel platform data structs to a single header omap-panel-data.h.
This is useful because:
- All other omapdss panel drivers will be modified to use platform data. This
would lead to a lot of panel headers usable only by omapdss. A lot of these
platform data structs are trivial, and don't really need a separate header.
- Platform data would be eventually removed, and platform information would be
passed via device tree. Therefore, omapdss panel platform data structs are
temporary, and will be easier to remove if they are all in the same header.
- All board files will have to include the same header to configure a panel's
platform data, that makes the board files more consistent.

This moves the configuration of some GPMC options outside the
nand_gpmc_retime() because these options should only need to be set once
regardless of whether the gpmc timing is changing dynamically at runtime.
The programming of where the wait-pin is also moved slightly, but this
will not have any impact to existing devices as no boards are currently
setting the dev_ready variable.

The GPMC has various different configuration options such as bus-width,
synchronous or asychronous mode selection, burst mode options etc.
Currently, there is no common function for configuring these options and
various devices set these options by either programming the GPMC CONFIG1
register directly or by calling gpmc_cs_configure() to set some of the
options.
Add a new function for configuring all of the GPMC options. Having a common
function for configuring this options will simplify code and ease the
migration to device-tree.
Also add a new capability flag to detect devices that support the
address-address-data multiplexing mode.

The GPMC has various different configuration options such as bus-width,
synchronous or asychronous mode selection, burst mode options etc.
Currently, there is no central structure for storing all these options
when configuring the GPMC for a given device. Some of the options are
stored in the GPMC timing structure and some are directly programmed
into the GPMC configuration register. Add a new structure to store
these options and convert code to use this structure. Adding this
structure will allow us to create a common function for configuring
these options.

The GPMC has wait-pin signals that can be assigned to a chip-select
to monitor the ready signal of an external device. Add a variable to
indicate the total number of wait-pins for a given device. This will
allow us to detect if the wait-pin being selected is valid or not.
When booting with device-tree read the number of wait-pins from the
device-tree blob. When device-tree is not used set the number of
wait-pins to 4 which is valid for OMAP2-5 devices. Newer devices
that have less wait-pins (such as AM335x) only support booting with
device-tree and so hard-coding the wait-pin number when not using
device-tree is fine.

The OMAP2+ code that configures the GPMC for ONENAND devices is copying
structures between functions unnecessarily. Avoid this by passing
pointers instead and simplify the code.
A pointer to structure "omap_onenand_platform_data" is passed to the
function omap2_onenand_calc_sync_timings(), but only the flags member
of the structure is used. Simplify the code by only passing the flags
member and not the entire structure.

Currently gpmc_cs_reserved() return value is somewhat inconsistent,
returning a negative value on an error condition, a positive value
if the chip select is reserved and zero if it's available.
Fix this by returning a boolean value as the function name suggests:
* true if the chip select is reserved,
* false if it's available

When setting the GPMC device type, make sure any previous
bits are cleared down, before applying the new setting.
For OMAP4+ devices MUXADDDATA is a 2-bit field (bits 9:8)
where as for OMAP2/3 devices it was only a one bit field
(bit 9). For OMAP2/3 devices bit 8 is reserved and the
OMAP documentation says to write a 0 to this bit. So
clearing bit 8 on OMAP2/3 devices should not be a problem.
Hence update the code to handle both bits 8 and 9 for all
devices.

Currently, the timer ID is being passed to the function
omap_dm_timer_init_one(). Instead of passing the ID separately, store it
in the omap_dm_timer structure, that is also passed, and access the ID
from this structure.

When booting with device-tree for OMAP3 and AM335x devices and a gptimer
is used as the clocksource (which is always the case for AM335x), a
gptimer located in a power domain that is not always-on is selected.
Ideally we should use a gptimer for clocksource that is located in a
power domain that is always on (such as the wake-up domain) so that time
can be maintained during a kernel suspend without keeping on additional
power domains unnecessarily.
In order to fix this so that we can select a gptimer located in a power
domain that is always-on, the following changes were made ...
1. Currently, only when selecting a gptimer to use for a clockevent
timer, do we pass a timer property that can be used to select a
specific gptimer. Change this so that we can pass a property when
selecting a gptimer to use for a clocksource timer too.
2. Currently, when selecting either a gptimer to use for a clockevent
timer or a clocksource timer and no timer property is passed, then
the first available timer is selected regardless of the properties
it has. Change this so that if no properties are passed, then a timer
that does not have additional features (such as always-on, dsp-irq,
pwm, and secure) is selected.
For OMAP3 and AM335x devices that use a gptimer for clocksource, change
the selection of the gptimer so that by default the gptimer located in
the always-on power domain is used for clocksource instead of
clockevents.
Please note that using a gptimer for both clocksource and clockevents
can have a system power impact during idle. The reason being is that
OMAP and AMxxx devices typically only have one gptimer in a power domain
that is always-on. Therefore when the kernel is idle both the clocksource
and clockevent timers will be active and this will keep additional power
domains on. During kernel suspend, only the clocksource timer is active
and therefore, it is better to use a gptimer in a power domain that is
always-on for clocksource.

There is a lot of redundancy in the definitions for the various system
timers for OMAP2+ devices. For example, the omap3_am33xx_gptimer_timer_init()
function is the same as the omap3_gp_gptimer_timer_init() function and the
function omap4_sync32k_timer_init() can be re-used for OMAP5 devices.
Therefore, consolidate the definitions to simplify the code.

In commit c59b537 (ARM: OMAP2+: Simplify dmtimer clock aliases), new
clock aliases for dmtimers were added to simplify the code. These clock
aliases can also be used when configuring the system timers and allow us
to remove the current definitions, simplifying the code.
Please note that for OMAP4/5 devices (unlike OMAP2/3 devices), there is
no clock alias for "timer_sys_ck" with NULL as the device name. Therefore
we still need to use the alias "sys_clkin_ck" for these devices.

Currently, when configuring the clock-events and clock-source timers
for OMAP2+ devices, we check whether the timer ID is 12 before
attempting to set the parent clock for the timer.
This test was added for OMAP3 general purpose devices (no security
features enabled) that a 12th timer available but unlike the other
timers only has a single functional clock source. Calling
clk_set_parent() for this 12th timer would always return an error
because there is only one choice for a parent clock. Therefore,
this hard-coded timer ID test was added.
To avoid this timer ID test, simply check to see if the timer's current
parent clock is the desired parent clock and only call clk_set_parent()
if this is not the case.
Also if clk_get() fails, then use PTR_ERR() to return the error code.

Currently on boot, when displaying the name of the gptimer used for
clockevents and clocksource timers, the timer ID is shown. However,
when booting with device-tree, the timer ID is not used to select a
gptimer but a timer property. Hence, it is possible that the timer
selected when booting with device-tree does not match the ID shown.
Therefore, instead display the HWMOD name of the gptimer and use
the HWMOD name as the name of clockevent and clocksource timer (if a
gptimer is used).

omap3_noncore_dpll_set_rate() attempts an enable of bypass clk as well
as ref clk for every .set_rate attempt on a noncore DPLL, regardless of
whether the .set_rate results in the DPLL being locked or put in bypass.
Early at boot, while some of these DPLLs are programmed and locked
(using .set_rate for the DPLL), this causes an ordering issue.
For instance, on OMAP5, the USB DPLL derives its bypass clk from ABE DPLL.
If a .set_rate of USB DPLL which programmes the M,N and locks it is called
before the one for ABE, the enable of USB bypass clk (derived from ABE DPLL)
then attempts to lock the ABE DPLL and fails as the M,N values for ABE
are yet to be programmed.
To get rid of this ordering needs, enable bypass clk for a DPLL as part
of its .set_rate only when its being put in bypass, and only enable the
ref clk when its locked.

WDT1 module can take one of the below clocks as input functional
clock -
- On-Chip 32K RC Osc [default/reset]
- 32K from PRCM
The On-Chip 32K RC Osc clock is not an accurate clock-source as per
the design/spec, so as a result, for example, timer which supposed
to get expired @60Sec, but will expire somewhere ~@40Sec, which is
not expected by any use-case.
The solution here is to switch the input clock-source to PRCM
generated 32K clock-source during boot-time itself.

This patch adds sysc definitions to the wdt1 hwmod entry, which in-turn
makes sure that sysc idle bit-fields are configured to valid state on
enable/disable callbacks.
With the recent submitted patch from Santosh Shilimkar,
"ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod: Don't call _init_mpu_rt_base if no sysc"
(commit: 4a98c2d89), it is required to add sysconf
information to each valid hwmod entry, else device will not be
come out from idle state properly and leads to below kernel
crash -

Use the CPUIDLE_FLAG_TIMER_STOP and let the cpuidle framework
to handle the CLOCK_EVT_NOTIFY_BROADCAST_ENTER/EXIT when entering

OMAP4460 ROM code bug needs the GIC distributor and local timer
bases to be available for the bug work around. In current code, dt
case these bases are not initialized leading to failure of the
errata work-around.
Fix it by extracting the bases from dt blob and populating them.

UART driver slave idle issue has been taken care by driver using hwmod
framework.
So we can now ger rid off the L4 per clockdomain static dependency with
MPU which was used to wrok around UART wakeup and console sluggishnesh issue
on OMAP4 SOCs.
