Commit e48c414ee6 ("[INET]: Generalise the TCP sock ID lookup routines")
commented out the definition of SOCK_REFCNT_DEBUG in 2005 and later another
commit 463c84b97f ("[NET]: Introduce inet_connection_sock") removed it.
Since we could track all of them through bpf and kprobe related tools
and the feature could print loads of information which might not be
that helpful even under a little bit pressure, the whole feature which
has been inactive for many years is no longer supported.

It tries to avoid the frequently hb_timer refresh in commit ba6f5e33bd
("sctp: avoid refreshing heartbeat timer too often"), and it only allows
mod_timer when the new expires is after hb_timer.expires. It means even
a much shorter interval for hb timer gets applied, it will have to wait
until the current hb timer to time out.
In sctp_do_8_2_transport_strike(), when a transport enters PF state, it
expects to update the hb timer to resend a heartbeat every rto after
calling sctp_transport_reset_hb_timer(), which will not work as the
change mentioned above.
The frequently hb_timer refresh was caused by sctp_transport_reset_timers()
called in sctp_outq_flush() and it was already removed in the commit above.
So we don't have to check hb_timer.expires when resetting hb_timer as it is
now not called very often.

Users who want to share a single public IP address for outgoing connections
between several hosts traditionally reach for SNAT. However, SNAT requires
state keeping on the node(s) performing the NAT.
A stateless alternative exists, where a single IP address used for egress
can be shared between several hosts by partitioning the available ephemeral
port range. In such a setup:
1. Each host gets assigned a disjoint range of ephemeral ports.
2. Applications open connections from the host-assigned port range.
3. Return traffic gets routed to the host based on both, the destination IP
and the destination port.
An application which wants to open an outgoing connection (connect) from a
given port range today can choose between two solutions:
1. Manually pick the source port by bind()'ing to it before connect()'ing
the socket.
This approach has a couple of downsides:
a) Search for a free port has to be implemented in the user-space. If
the chosen 4-tuple happens to be busy, the application needs to retry
from a different local port number.
Detecting if 4-tuple is busy can be either easy (TCP) or hard
(UDP). In TCP case, the application simply has to check if connect()
returned an error (EADDRNOTAVAIL). That is assuming that the local
port sharing was enabled (REUSEADDR) by all the sockets.
# Assume desired local port range is 60_000-60_511
s = socket(AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM)
s.setsockopt(SOL_SOCKET, SO_REUSEADDR, 1)
s.bind(("192.0.2.1", 60_000))
s.connect(("1.1.1.1", 53))
# Fails only if 192.0.2.1:60000 -> 1.1.1.1:53 is busy
# Application must retry with another local port
In case of UDP, the network stack allows binding more than one socket
to the same 4-tuple, when local port sharing is enabled
(REUSEADDR). Hence detecting the conflict is much harder and involves
querying sock_diag and toggling the REUSEADDR flag [1].
b) For TCP, bind()-ing to a port within the ephemeral port range means
that no connecting sockets, that is those which leave it to the
network stack to find a free local port at connect() time, can use
the this port.
IOW, the bind hash bucket tb->fastreuse will be 0 or 1, and the port
will be skipped during the free port search at connect() time.
2. Isolate the app in a dedicated netns and use the use the per-netns
ip_local_port_range sysctl to adjust the ephemeral port range bounds.
The per-netns setting affects all sockets, so this approach can be used
only if:
- there is just one egress IP address, or
- the desired egress port range is the same for all egress IP addresses
used by the application.
For TCP, this approach avoids the downsides of (1). Free port search and
4-tuple conflict detection is done by the network stack:
system("sysctl -w net.ipv4.ip_local_port_range='60000 60511'")
s = socket(AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM)
s.setsockopt(SOL_IP, IP_BIND_ADDRESS_NO_PORT, 1)
s.bind(("192.0.2.1", 0))
s.connect(("1.1.1.1", 53))
# Fails if all 4-tuples 192.0.2.1:60000-60511 -> 1.1.1.1:53 are busy
For UDP this approach has limited applicability. Setting the
IP_BIND_ADDRESS_NO_PORT socket option does not result in local source
port being shared with other connected UDP sockets.
Hence relying on the network stack to find a free source port, limits the
number of outgoing UDP flows from a single IP address down to the number
of available ephemeral ports.
To put it another way, partitioning the ephemeral port range between hosts
using the existing Linux networking API is cumbersome.
To address this use case, add a new socket option at the SOL_IP level,
named IP_LOCAL_PORT_RANGE. The new option can be used to clamp down the
ephemeral port range for each socket individually.
The option can be used only to narrow down the per-netns local port
range. If the per-socket range lies outside of the per-netns range, the
latter takes precedence.
UAPI-wise, the low and high range bounds are passed to the kernel as a pair
of u16 values in host byte order packed into a u32. This avoids pointer
passing.
PORT_LO = 40_000
PORT_HI = 40_511
s = socket(AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM)
v = struct.pack("I", PORT_HI << 16 | PORT_LO)
s.setsockopt(SOL_IP, IP_LOCAL_PORT_RANGE, v)
s.bind(("127.0.0.1", 0))
s.getsockname()
# Local address between ("127.0.0.1", 40_000) and ("127.0.0.1", 40_511),
# if there is a free port. EADDRINUSE otherwise.

Currently, if you bind the socket to something like:
servaddr.sin6_family = AF_INET6;
servaddr.sin6_port = htons(0);
servaddr.sin6_scope_id = 0;
inet_pton(AF_INET6, "::1", &servaddr.sin6_addr);
And then request a connect to:
connaddr.sin6_family = AF_INET6;
connaddr.sin6_port = htons(20000);
connaddr.sin6_scope_id = if_nametoindex("lo");
inet_pton(AF_INET6, "fe88::1", &connaddr.sin6_addr);
What the stack does is:
- bind the socket
- create a new asoc
- to handle the connect
- copy the addresses that can be used for the given scope
- try to connect
But the copy returns 0 addresses, and the effect is that it ends up
trying to connect as if the socket wasn't bound, which is not the
desired behavior. This unexpected behavior also allows KASLR leaks
through SCTP diag interface.
The fix here then is, if when trying to copy the addresses that can
be used for the scope used in connect() it returns 0 addresses, bail
out. This is what TCP does with a similar reproducer.

Merge tag 'random-6.2-rc1-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/crng/random
Pull random number generator updates from Jason Donenfeld:
- Replace prandom_u32_max() and various open-coded variants of it,
there is now a new family of functions that uses fast rejection
sampling to choose properly uniformly random numbers within an
interval:
get_random_u32_below(ceil) - [0, ceil)
get_random_u32_above(floor) - (floor, U32_MAX]
get_random_u32_inclusive(floor, ceil) - [floor, ceil]
Coccinelle was used to convert all current users of
prandom_u32_max(), as well as many open-coded patterns, resulting in
improvements throughout the tree.
I'll have a "late" 6.1-rc1 pull for you that removes the now unused
prandom_u32_max() function, just in case any other trees add a new
use case of it that needs to converted. According to linux-next,
there may be two trivial cases of prandom_u32_max() reintroductions
that are fixable with a 's/.../.../'. So I'll have for you a final
conversion patch doing that alongside the removal patch during the
second week.
This is a treewide change that touches many files throughout.
- More consistent use of get_random_canary().
- Updates to comments, documentation, tests, headers, and
simplification in configuration.
- The arch_get_random*_early() abstraction was only used by arm64 and
wasn't entirely useful, so this has been replaced by code that works
in all relevant contexts.
- The kernel will use and manage random seeds in non-volatile EFI
variables, refreshing a variable with a fresh seed when the RNG is
initialized. The RNG GUID namespace is then hidden from efivarfs to
prevent accidental leakage.
These changes are split into random.c infrastructure code used in the
EFI subsystem, in this pull request, and related support inside of
EFISTUB, in Ard's EFI tree. These are co-dependent for full
functionality, but the order of merging doesn't matter.
- Part of the infrastructure added for the EFI support is also used for
an improvement to the way vsprintf initializes its siphash key,
replacing an sleep loop wart.
- The hardware RNG framework now always calls its correct random.c
input function, add_hwgenerator_randomness(), rather than sometimes
going through helpers better suited for other cases.
- The add_latent_entropy() function has long been called from the fork
handler, but is a no-op when the latent entropy gcc plugin isn't
used, which is fine for the purposes of latent entropy.
But it was missing out on the cycle counter that was also being mixed
in beside the latent entropy variable. So now, if the latent entropy
gcc plugin isn't enabled, add_latent_entropy() will expand to a call
to add_device_randomness(NULL, 0), which adds a cycle counter,
without the absent latent entropy variable.
- The RNG is now reseeded from a delayed worker, rather than on demand
when used. Always running from a worker allows it to make use of the
CPU RNG on platforms like S390x, whose instructions are too slow to
do so from interrupts. It also has the effect of adding in new inputs
more frequently with more regularity, amounting to a long term
transcript of random values. Plus, it helps a bit with the upcoming
vDSO implementation (which isn't yet ready for 6.2).
- The jitter entropy algorithm now tries to execute on many different
CPUs, round-robining, in hopes of hitting even more memory latencies
and other unpredictable effects. It also will mix in a cycle counter
when the entropy timer fires, in addition to being mixed in from the
main loop, to account more explicitly for fluctuations in that timer
firing. And the state it touches is now kept within the same cache
line, so that it's assured that the different execution contexts will
cause latencies.

Recently, a customer reported that from their container whose
net namespace is different to the host's init_net, they can't set
the container's net.sctp.rto_max to any value smaller than
init_net.sctp.rto_min.
For instance,
Host:
sudo sysctl net.sctp.rto_min
net.sctp.rto_min = 1000
Container:
echo 100 > /mnt/proc-net/sctp/rto_min
echo 400 > /mnt/proc-net/sctp/rto_max
echo: write error: Invalid argument
This is caused by the check made from this'commit 4f3fdf3bc5
("sctp: add check rto_min and rto_max in sysctl")'
When validating the input value, it's always referring the boundary
value set for the init_net namespace.
Having container's rto_max smaller than host's init_net.sctp.rto_min
does make sense. Consider that the rto between two containers on the
same host is very likely smaller than it for two hosts.
So to fix this problem, as suggested by Marcelo, this patch makes the
extra pointers of rto_min, rto_max, pf_retrans, and ps_retrans point
to the corresponding variables from the newly created net namespace while
the new net namespace is being registered in sctp_sysctl_net_register.

After commit 9ed7bfc795 ("sctp: fix memory leak in
sctp_stream_outq_migrate()"), sctp_sched_set_sched() is the only
place calling sched->free(), and it can actually be replaced by
sched->free_sid() on each stream, and yet there's already a loop
to traverse all streams in sctp_sched_set_sched().
This patch adds a function sctp_sched_free_sched() where it calls
sched->free_sid() for each stream to replace sched->free() calls
in sctp_sched_set_sched() and then deletes the unused free member
from struct sctp_sched_ops.

This patch at first adds a pernet global l3mdev_accept to decide if it
accepts the packets from a l3mdev when a SCTP socket doesn't bind to
any interface. It's set to 1 to avoid any possible incompatible issue,
and in next patch, a sysctl will be introduced to allow to change it.
Then similar to inet/udp_sk_bound_dev_eq(), sctp_sk_bound_dev_eq() is
added to check either dif or sdif is equal to sk_bound_dev_if, and to
check sid is 0 or l3mdev_accept is 1 if sk_bound_dev_if is not set.
This function is used to match a association or a endpoint, namely

this address is on any dev. If a socket binds to a l3mdev but no dev
is passed to do this check, all l3mdev and slaves will be skipped and

This patch is to pass the bound_dev to make sure the devices under the

Normally stream->out_curr must be set to NULL once all frag chunks of

However, in sctp_prsctp_prune_unsent() as it is not a proper dequeue,

This happens when calling sctp_sendmsg without connecting to server first.
In this case, a data chunk already queues up in send queue of client side
when processing the INIT_ACK from server in sctp_process_init() where it
calls sctp_stream_init() to alloc stream_in. If it fails to alloc stream_in
all stream_out will be freed in sctp_stream_init's err path. Then in the
asoc freeing it will crash when dequeuing this data chunk as stream_out
is missing.
As we can't free stream out before dequeuing all data from send queue, and
this patch is to fix it by moving the err path stream_out/in freeing in
sctp_stream_init() to sctp_stream_free() which is eventually called when
freeing the asoc in sctp_association_free(). This fix also makes the code
in sctp_process_init() more clear.
Note that in sctp_association_init() when it fails in sctp_stream_init(),
sctp_association_free() will not be called, and in that case it should
go to 'stream_free' err path to free stream instead of 'fail_init'.

Currently, tcp_memory_allocated can hit tcp_mem[] limits quite fast.
Each TCP socket can forward allocate up to 2 MB of memory, even after
flow became less active.
10,000 sockets can have reserved 20 GB of memory,
and we have no shrinker in place to reclaim that.
Instead of trying to reclaim the extra allocations in some places,
just keep sk->sk_forward_alloc values as small as possible.
This should not impact performance too much now we have per-cpu
reserves: Changes to tcp_memory_allocated should not be too frequent.
For sockets not using SO_RESERVE_MEM:
- idle sockets (no packets in tx/rx queues) have zero forward alloc.
- non idle sockets have a forward alloc smaller than one page.
Note:
- Removal of SK_RECLAIM_CHUNK and SK_RECLAIM_THRESHOLD
is left to MPTCP maintainers as a follow up.

The code for gso_max_size was added originally to allow for debugging and
workaround of buggy devices that couldn't support TSO with blocks 64K in
size. The original reason for limiting it to 64K was because that was the
existing limits of IPv4 and non-jumbogram IPv6 length fields.
With the addition of Big TCP we can remove this limit and allow the value
to potentially go up to UINT_MAX and instead be limited by the tso_max_size
value.
So in order to support this we need to go through and clean up the
remaining users of the gso_max_size value so that the values will cap at
64K for non-TCPv6 flows. In addition we can clean up the GSO_MAX_SIZE value
so that 64K becomes GSO_LEGACY_MAX_SIZE and UINT_MAX will now be the upper
limit for GSO_MAX_SIZE.
v6: (edumazet) fixed a compile error if CONFIG_IPV6=n,
in a new sk_trim_gso_size() helper.
netif_set_tso_max_size() caps the requested TSO size
with GSO_MAX_SIZE.

"We've got a number of SELinux patches queued up, the highlights are:
- Fixup the security_fs_context_parse_param() LSM hook so it executes
all of the LSM hook implementations unless a serious error occurs.
We also correct the SELinux hook implementation so that it returns
zero on success.
- In addition to a few SELinux mount option parsing fixes, we
simplified the parsing by moving it earlier in the process.
The logic was that it was unlikely an admin/user would use the new
mount API and not have the policy loaded before passing the SELinux
options.
- Properly fixed the LSM/SELinux/SCTP hooks with the addition of the
security_sctp_assoc_established() hook.
This work was done in conjunction with the netdev folks and should
complete the move of the SCTP labeling from the endpoints to the
associations.
- Fixed a variety of sparse warnings caused by changes in the "__rcu"
markings of some core kernel structures.
- Ensure we access the superblock's LSM security blob using the
stacking-safe accessors.
- Added the ability for the kernel to always allow FIOCLEX and
FIONCLEX if the "ioctl_skip_cloexec" policy capability is
specified.
- Various constifications improvements, type casting improvements,
additional return value checks, and dead code/parameter removal.

This issue occurs when asoc is peeled off and the old sk is freed after
getting it by asoc->base.sk and before calling lock_sock(sk).
To prevent the sk free, as a holder of the sk, ep should be alive when
calling lock_sock(). This patch uses call_rcu() and moves sock_put and
ep free into sctp_endpoint_destroy_rcu(), so that it's safe to try to
hold the ep under rcu_read_lock in sctp_transport_traverse_process().
If sctp_endpoint_hold() returns true, it means this ep is still alive
and we have held it and can continue to dump it; If it returns false,
it means this ep is dead and can be freed after rcu_read_unlock, and
we should skip it.
In sctp_sock_dump(), after locking the sk, if this ep is different from
tsp->asoc->ep, it means during this dumping, this asoc was peeled off
before calling lock_sock(), and the sk should be skipped; If this ep is
the same with tsp->asoc->ep, it means no peeloff happens on this asoc,
and due to lock_sock, no peeloff will happen either until release_sock.
Note that delaying endpoint free won't delay the port release, as the
port release happens in sctp_endpoint_destroy() before calling call_rcu().
Also, freeing endpoint by call_rcu() makes it safe to access the sk by
asoc->base.sk in sctp_assocs_seq_show() and sctp_rcv().
Thanks Jones to bring this issue up.
v1->v2:
- improve the changelog.
- add kfree(ep) into sctp_endpoint_destroy_rcu(), as Jakub noticed.

Currently, the probe timer is reused as the raise timer when PLPMTUD is in
the Search Complete state. raise_count was introduced to count how many
times the probe timer has timed out. When raise_count reaches to 30, the
raise timer handler will be triggered.
During the whole processing above, the timer keeps timing out every probe_
interval. It is a waste for the Search Complete state, as the raise timer
only needs to time out after 30 * probe_interval.
Since the raise timer and probe timer are never used at the same time, it
is no need to keep probe timer 'alive' in the Search Complete state. This
patch to introduce sctp_transport_reset_raise_timer() to start the timer
as the raise timer when entering the Search Complete state. When entering
the other states, sctp_transport_reset_probe_timer() will still be called
to reset the timer to the probe timer.
raise_count can be removed from sctp_transport as no need to count probe
timer timeout for raise timer timeout. last_rtx_chunks can be removed as
sctp_transport_reset_probe_timer() can be called in the place where asoc
rtx_data_chunks is changed.

This patch reverts two prior patches, e7310c9402
("security: implement sctp_assoc_established hook in selinux") and
7c2ef0240e ("security: add sctp_assoc_established hook"), which
create the security_sctp_assoc_established() LSM hook and provide a
SELinux implementation. Unfortunately these two patches were merged
without proper review (the Reviewed-by and Tested-by tags from
Richard Haines were for previous revisions of these patches that
were significantly different) and there are outstanding objections
from the SELinux maintainers regarding these patches.
Work is currently ongoing to correct the problems identified in the
reverted patches, as well as others that have come up during review,
but it is unclear at this point in time when that work will be ready
for inclusion in the mainline kernel. In the interest of not keeping
objectionable code in the kernel for multiple weeks, and potentially
a kernel release, we are reverting the two problematic patches.

sctp_sf_violation_chunk() is not called with asoc argument equal to NULL,
but if that happens it would lead to NULL pointer dereference
in sctp_vtag_verify().
The patch removes code that handles NULL asoc in sctp_sf_violation_chunk().

nr_free_buffer_pages could be exposed through mm.h instead of swap.h.
The advantage of this change is that it can reduce the obsolete
includes. For example, net/ipv4/tcp.c wouldn't need swap.h any more
since it has already included mm.h. Similarly, after checking all the
other files, it comes that tcp.c, udp.c meter.c ,... follow the same
rule, so these files can have swap.h removed too.
Moreover, after preprocessing all the files that use
nr_free_buffer_pages, it turns out that those files have already
included mm.h.Thus, we can move nr_free_buffer_pages from swap.h to mm.h
safely. This change will not affect the compilation of other files.

This patch is to move secid and peer_secid from endpoint to association,
and pass asoc to sctp_assoc_request and sctp_sk_clone instead of ep. As
ep is the local endpoint and asoc represents a connection, and in SCTP
one sk/ep could have multiple asoc/connection, saving secid/peer_secid
for new asoc will overwrite the old asoc's.
Note that since asoc can be passed as NULL, security_sctp_assoc_request()
is moved to the place right after the new_asoc is created in
sctp_sf_do_5_1B_init() and sctp_sf_do_unexpected_init().
v1->v2:

sctp_transport_pl_toobig() supposes to return true only if there's

these return places in sctp_transport_pl_toobig().

Currently when PLPMTUD enters Error state, transport pathmtu will be set
to MIN_PLPMTU(512) while probe is continuing with BASE_PLPMTU(1200). It
will cause pathmtu to stay in a very small value, even if the real pmtu
is some value like 1000.
RFC8899 doesn't clearly say how to set the value in Error state. But one
possibility could be keep using BASE_PLPMTU for the real pmtu, but allow
to do IP fragmentation when it's in Error state.
As it says in rfc8899#section-5.4:
Some paths could be unable to sustain packets of the BASE_PLPMTU
size. The Error State could be implemented to provide robustness to
such paths. This allows fallback to a smaller than desired PLPMTU
rather than suffer connectivity failure. This could utilize methods
such as endpoint IP fragmentation to enable the PL sender to
communicate using packets smaller than the BASE_PLPMTU.
This patch is to set pmtu to BASE_PLPMTU instead of MIN_PLPMTU for Error
state in sctp_transport_pl_send/toobig(), and set packet ipfragok for
non-probe packets when it's in Error state.

sctp_sf_ootb() is called when processing DATA chunk in closed state,
and many other places are also using it.
The vtag in the chunk's sctphdr should be verified, otherwise, as
later in chunk length check, it may send abort with the existent
asoc's vtag, which can be exploited by one to cook a malicious
chunk to terminate a SCTP asoc.
When fails to verify the vtag from the chunk, this patch sets asoc
to NULL, so that the abort will be made with the vtag from the
received chunk later.

1. In closed state: in sctp_sf_do_5_1D_ce():
When asoc is NULL, making packet for abort will use chunk's vtag
in sctp_ootb_pkt_new(). But when asoc exists, vtag from the chunk
should be verified before using peer.i.init_tag to make packet
for abort in sctp_ootb_pkt_new(), and just discard it if vtag is
not correct.
2. In the other states: in sctp_sf_do_5_2_4_dupcook():
asoc always exists, but duplicate cookie_echo's vtag will be
handled by sctp_tietags_compare() and then take actions, so before
that we only verify the vtag for the abort sent for invalid chunk

Currently INIT_ACK chunk in non-cookie_echoed state is processed in
sctp_sf_discard_chunk() to send an abort with the existent asoc's
vtag if the chunk length is not valid. But the vtag in the chunk's
sctphdr is not verified, which may be exploited by one to cook a
malicious chunk to terminal a SCTP asoc.
sctp_sf_discard_chunk() also is called in many other places to send

it by sending abort with the existent asoc's vtag only if the vtag
from the chunk's sctphdr is verified in sctp_sf_discard_chunk().

Currently Linux SCTP uses the verification tag of the existing SCTP
asoc when failing to process and sending the packet with the ABORT

removing the SCTP asoc. One could exploit this to terminate a SCTP

SCTP_PAD4(a + b) (which _sctp_make_chunk() did implicitly here) is
different from SCTP_PAD4(a) + SCTP_PAD4(b) and not enough. It led to

if there's any packet retransmission/loss happened by checking against
asoc's rtx_data_chunks in sctp_transport_pl_send().
If there is, namely, transport->last_rtx_chunks != asoc->rtx_data_chunks,
the pmtu probe will be sent out. Otherwise, increment the pl.raise_count
and return when it's in Search Complete state.
With this patch, if in Search Complete state, which is a long period, it
doesn't need to keep probing the current pmtu unless there's data packet
loss. This will save quite some traffic.

This patch does 3 things:
- make sctp_transport_pl_send() and sctp_transport_pl_recv()
return bool type to decide if more probe is needed to send.
- pr_debug() only when probe is really needed to send.
- count pl.raise_count in sctp_transport_pl_send() instead of
sctp_transport_pl_recv(), and it's only incremented for the
1st probe for the same size.
These are preparations for the next patch to make probes happen
only when there's packet loss in Search Complete state.

Currently, in sctp_packet_config(), sctp_transport_pmtu_check() is
called to update transport pathmtu with dst's mtu when dst's mtu
has been changed by non sctp stack like xfrm.
However, this should only happen when SPP_PMTUD_ENABLE is set, no
matter where dst's mtu changed. This patch is to fix by checking
SPP_PMTUD_ENABLE flag before calling sctp_transport_pmtu_check().
Thanks Jacek for reporting and looking into this issue.

This is an use-after-free issue caused by not updating asoc->shkey after
it was replaced in the key list asoc->endpoint_shared_keys, and the old
key was freed.
This patch is to fix by also updating active_key for asoc when old key is
being replaced with a new one. Note that this issue doesn't exist in
sctp_auth_del_key_id(), as it's not allowed to delete the active_key
from the asoc.

After commit ca84bd058d ("sctp: copy the optval from user space in
sctp_setsockopt"), it does memory allocation in sctp_setsockopt with
the optlen, and it would fail the allocation and return error if the
optlen from user space is a huge value.
This breaks some sockopts, like SCTP_HMAC_IDENT, SCTP_RESET_STREAMS and
SCTP_AUTH_KEY, as when processing these sockopts before, optlen would
be trimmed to a biggest value it needs when optlen is a huge value,
instead of failing the allocation and returning error.
This patch is to fix the allocation failure when it's a huge optlen from
user space by trimming it to the biggest size sctp sockopt may need when
necessary, and this biggest size is from sctp_setsockopt_reset_streams()
for SCTP_RESET_STREAMS, which is bigger than those for SCTP_HMAC_IDENT
and SCTP_AUTH_KEY.

Hi Linus,
Please, pull the following patches that fix many fall-through warnings
when building with Clang 12.0.0 and this[1] change reverted. Notice
that in order to enable -Wimplicit-fallthrough for Clang, such change[1]
is meant to be reverted at some point. So, these patches help to move
