48a364b758 pwm: Move TWL6030 PWM driver to PWM framework
This commit moves the driver to drivers/pwm and converts it to the new
PWM framework. In order for this to work properly, register the PWM as
child of the multi-function TWL6030 device.

0a37fc5688 mfd: Use the AB8500's IRQ domain to convert hwirq to virq
Before the AB8500 had its own IRQ domain, the IRQ handler would take
the fired local IRQ (hwirq) and add it to the irq_base to convert it
to an IRQ number which Linux would understand (virq). However, the
IRQ base is not always used anymore since we can make use of Linear
domains. It's better to use the AB8500 hwirq -> virq mapping helper
function to convert them instead. That's what we do here.

defa6be1c8 mfd: Fix compile for twl-core.c by removing cpu_is_omap usage
Commit 7d7e1eba (ARM: OMAP2+: Prepare for irqs.h removal) broke
compile for non-omap as include plat/cpu.h was added. This header
was indirectly included earlier when SPARSE_IRQ was not set, but
does not exist on most platforms.

Fix the problem by removing the cpu_is_omap usage that should
not exist in drivers at all. We can do this by adding proper
clock aliases for the twl-core.c drivers, and drop separate
handling for cases when clock framework is not available as
the behaviour will stay the same.

Note that we need to add a platform device to avoid using the
i2c provided names that may be different on various omaps.

0848c94fb4 mfd: core: Push irqdomain mapping out into devices
Currently the MFD core supports remapping MFD cell interrupts using an
irqdomain but only if the MFD is being instantiated using device tree
and only if the device tree bindings use the pattern of registering IPs
in the device tree with compatible properties. This will be actively
harmful for drivers which support non-DT platforms and use this pattern
for their DT bindings as it will mean that the core will silently change
remapping behaviour and it is also limiting for drivers which don't do
DT with this particular pattern. There is also a potential fragility if
there are interrupts not associated with MFD cells and all the cells are
omitted from the device tree for some reason.

Instead change the code to take an IRQ domain as an optional argument,
allowing drivers to take the decision about the parent domain for their
interrupts. The one current user of this feature is ab8500-core, it has
the domain lookup pushed out into the driver.

80633f05b0 mfd: ab8500: Make ab8500_irq_get_virq() static
MFD core now takes care of HWIRQ <-> VIRQ mapping, so the helper
ab8500_irq_get_virq() is no longer used by ab8500 subordinate devices
to obtain a Linux wide Virtual IRQ. The AB8500 IRQ controller still
uses it internally though, so we'll just hide it from the rest of the
world by making it static instead.

4f600ada70 gpio: gpio-ich: Share ownership of GPIO groups
The ICH chips have their GPIO pins organized in 2 or 3 independent
groups of 32 GPIO pins. It can happen that the ACPI BIOS wants to make
use of pins in one group, preventing the OS to access these. This does
not prevent the OS from accessing the other group(s).

This is the case for example on my Asus Z8NA-D6 board. The ACPI BIOS
wants to control GPIO 18 (group 1), while I (the OS) need to control
GPIO 52 and 53 (group 2) for SMBus multiplexing.

So instead of checking for ACPI resource conflict on the whole I/O
range, check on a per-group basis, and consider it a success if at
least one of the groups is available for the OS to use.

55692af5eb mfd: core: Push irqdomain mapping out into devices

1a87676206 Merge branch 'ofdeviceiddata' of git://git.pengutronix.de/git/ukl/linux into next/fixes-non-critical
From  "Uwe Kleine-Knig" <u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de>:

this is the 2nd version of this series whose goal is to make struct
of_device_id.data const. Conceptually a driver must not modify the data
contained there so making it const is the right thing.

v1 of this series was sent with Message-id:
1342182734-321-1-git-send-email-y. Changes since then are:
 - powerpc fixes
 - several new consts that were found by Arnd that are possible after
   patch 19.

Arnd suggested to take this series via arm-soc late for 3.6 in one go
because patch 19 depends on the former patches but is a precondition to
the latter and it fixes a few warnings. So getting it in via the
respective maintainer trees would need a much bigger coordination
effort. That means I prefer getting Acks over you taking the patch.

Vinod Koul already took
        dmaengine: at_hdmac: add a few const qualifiers
that is in next-20120723 as 7fd63ccdad now. Vinod, I don't follow your
pull requests, but assuming you didn't let it already pull for 3.6 I
suggest you drop it from your queue and I just take your Ack.

This series was build tested for arm (all defconfigs) and powerpc (all
defconfigs and an allyesconfig) and grep didn't find more issues. As
before it introduces a warning in drivers/regulator/twl-regulator.c.
This driver does modify its .of_match_table when a device is bound which
doesn't fits the concept of independant devices. Arnd noticed another
new warning in drivers/scsi/qlogicpti.c that isn't that easy to resolve,
because the pointer to (now) const data is passed as first argument to
scsi_host_alloc. To fix that properly struct Scsi_Host.hostt needs to
get a const, too. Alternatively I could introduce a cast removing the
const, but I don't like that.

7d7e1eba7e ARM: OMAP2+: Prepare for irqs.h removal
As the interrupts should only be defined in the platform_data, and
eventually coming from device tree, there's no need to define them
in header files.

Let's remove the hardcoded references to irqs.h and fix up the includes
so we don't rely on headers included in irqs.h. Note that we're
defining OMAP_INTC_START as 0 to the interrupts. This will be needed
when we enable SPARSE_IRQ. For some drivers we need to add
#include <plat/cpu.h> for now until these drivers are fixed to
remove cpu_is_omapxxxx() usage.

While at it, sort som of the includes the standard way, and add
the trailing commas where they are missing in the related data
structures.

Note that for drivers/staging/tidspbridge we just define things
locally.

c10c2aab63 mfd: 88pm860x: Move _IO resources out of ioport_ioresource
The removal of mach/io.h from most ARM platforms also set the range of

8f057d7bca gpu/mfd/usb: Fix USB randconfig problems
Fix config warning:

warning: ( ... && DRM_USB) selects USB which has unmet direct dependencies
(USB_SUPPORT && USB_ARCH_HAS_HCD)

and build error:
ERROR: "usb_speed_string" [drivers/usb/core/usbcore.ko] undefined!

by adding the missing dependency on USB_ARCH_HAS_HCD to DRM_UDL and DRM_USB.

This exposes:
drivers/video/Kconfig:36:error: recursive dependency detected!
drivers/video/Kconfig:36: symbol FB is selected by DRM_KMS_HELPER
drivers/gpu/drm/Kconfig:28:     symbol DRM_KMS_HELPER is selected by DRM_UDL

drivers/video/Kconfig:373: symbol FB_CYBER2000 depends on FB

which is due to drivers/usb/Kconfig:
config USB_ARCH_HAS_OHCI
	...
	default y if ARCH_PNX4008 && I2C

Fix by dropping I2C from the above dependency; logic is that this is not a
platform dependency but a configuration dependency: the _architecture_ still
supports USB even is I2C is not selected.

This exposes:
drivers/video/Kconfig:36:error: recursive dependency detected!
drivers/video/Kconfig:36: symbol FB is selected by DRM_KMS_HELPER
drivers/gpu/drm/Kconfig:28:     symbol DRM_KMS_HELPER is selected by DRM_UDL

drivers/mfd/Kconfig:396: symbol MFD_TC6393XB depends on GPIOLIB
drivers/gpio/Kconfig:35: symbol GPIOLIB is selected by FB_VIA
drivers/video/Kconfig:1560: symbol FB_VIA depends on FB

which can be fixed by having MFD_TC6393XB select GPIOLIB instead of depending on
it.

b64456a4fc Merge branch 'testing/new-warnings' into fixes
These patches all fix bugs that were newly introduced in v3.6-rc1
and found because they cause a gcc warning with one of the ARM
defconfigs. Most of them are harmless, but since we're trying
to get rid of all warnings eventually, we can start with the ones
that were not there before.

59ee93a528 ARM: pxa: remove irq_to_gpio from ezx-pcap driver
The irq_to_gpio function was removed from the pxa platform
in linux-3.2, and this driver has been broken since.

There is actually no in-tree user of this driver that adds
this platform device, but the driver can and does get enabled
on some platforms.

Without this patch, building ezx_defconfig results in:

4b24ff7110 The tag contains just a few battery-related changes for v3.6. It's is
all pretty straightforward, except one thing.

 One of our patches added thermal support for power supply class, but
 thermal/ subsystem changed under our feet. We (well, Stephen, that is)
 caught the issue and it was decided[1] that I'd just delay the battery
 pull request, and then will fix it up by merging upstream back into
 battery tree at the specific commit.

 That's not all though: another[2] small fixup for thermal subsystem was
 needed to get rid of a warning in power supply subsystem (the warning
 was not drivers/power's "fault", the thermal registration function just
 needed a proper const annotation, which is also done by a small commit
 on top of the merge.

 So, to sum this up:
 - The 'master' branch of the battery tree was in the -next tree for
   weeks, was never rebased, altered etc. It should be all OK;
 - Although, for-v3.6 tag contains the 'master' branch + merge + the
   warning fix.

Fix up mostly trivial conflicts, with the exception of
drivers/usb/host/ehci-omap.c in particular, which had some
re-organization of the reset sequence (commit 1a49e2ac96: "EHCI:
centralize controller initialization") that clashed with commit
2761a63945 ("mfd: USB: Fix the omap-usb EHCI ULPI PHY reset fix
issues").

In particular, commit 2761a63945 moved the usb_add_hcd() to the
*middle* of the reset sequence, which clashes fairly badly with the
reset sequence re-organization (although it could have been done inside
the new omap_ehci_init() function).

I left that part of commit 2761a63945 just undone.

 "The new PWM subsystem aims at collecting all implementations of the

  The subsystem has been in development for over half a year now and
  many drivers have already been converted. It has been in linux-next
  for a couple of weeks and there have been no major issues so I think
  it is ready for inclusion in your tree."

Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>:
 "Very much Ack on the new subsystem. It uses the interface
  declarations as the previously separate pwm drivers, so nothing
  changes for now in the drivers using it, although it enables us to
  change those more easily in the future if we want to.

  This work is also one of the missing pieces that are required to
  eventually build ARM kernels for multiple platforms, which is
  currently prohibited (amongs other things) by the fact that you cannot
  have more than one driver exporting the pwm functions."

eac7a92fd0 pwm: Conflict with legacy PWM API
In order to avoid duplicate symbols with legacy PWM API implementations,
the new PWM framework needs to conflict with any of the existing legacy
implementations. This is done in two ways: for implementations provided
by drivers, a conflict is added to the driver to ensure it will have to
be ported to the PWM subsystem before it can coexist with other PWM
providers. For architecture-specific code, the conflict is added to the
PWM symbol to avoid confusion when a previously picked platform or
machine can no longer be selected because of the PWM subsystem being
included.

Modifying driver details is very strange, for example probing an

775f4b297b random: make 'add_interrupt_randomness()' do something sane
We've been moving away from add_interrupt_randomness() for various
reasons: it's too expensive to do on every interrupt, and flooding the
CPU with interrupts could theoretically cause bogus floods of entropy
from a somewhat externally controllable source.

This solves both problems by limiting the actual randomness addition
to just once a second or after 64 interrupts, whicever comes first.
During that time, the interrupt cycle data is buffered up in a per-cpu
pool. Also, we make sure the the nonblocking pool used by urandom is
initialized before we start feeding the normal input pool. This
assures that /dev/urandom is returning unpredictable data as soon as
possible.

tytso.)

For a platform device, that name is not set until platform_device_add
calls dev_set_name.

So the call to device_init_wakeup() must be after the call to
platform_device_add().
Making this change causes correct names to appear in the
wakeup_sources file.

The MC13xxx PMIC is mainly used on i.Mx SoC. On those SoC the SPI

c94bb233a9 mfd: Make MFD core code Device Tree and IRQ domain aware
During Device Tree enablement of the ab8500 and db8500-prcmu drivers,
a decision was made to omit registration through the MFD API and use
Device Tree directly. However, because MFD devices have a different
address space and the ab8500 and db8500 both use I2C to communicate,
this causes issues with address translation during execution of
of_platform_populate(). So the solution is to make the MFD core aware
of Device Tree and have it assign the correct node pointers instead.

To make this work the MFD core also needs to be awere of IRQ domains,
as Device Tree insists on IRQ domain compatibility. So, instead of
providing an irq-base via platform code, in the DT case we simply
look up the IRQ domain and map to the correct virtual IRQ.

2e341ca686 Sound updates for 3.5-rc1
This is the first big chunk for 3.5 merges of sound stuff.
 There are a few big changes in different areas. First off, the
 streaming logic of USB-audio endpoints has been largely rewritten
 for the better support of "implicit feedback". If anything about USB
 got broken, this change has to be checked.

 For HD-audio, the resume procedure was changed; instead of delaying
 the resume of the hardware until the first use, now waking up immediately
 at resume. This is for buggy BIOS.

 For ASoC, dynamic PCM support and the improved support for digital links
 between off-SoC devices are major framework changes.

 Some highlights are below:

 * HD-audio
 - Avoid the accesses of invalid pin-control bits that may stall the codec
 - V-ref setup cleanups
 - Fix the races in power-saving code
 - Fix the races in codec cache hashes and connection lists
 - Split some common codes for BIOS auto-parser to hda_auto_parser.c
 - Changed the PM resume code to wake up immediately for buggy BIOS
 - Creative SoundCore3D support
 - Add Conexant CX20751/2/3/4 codec support

 * ASoC
 - Dynamic PCM support, allowing support for SoCs with internal routing
   through components with tight sequencing and formatting constraints
   within their internal paths or where there are multiple components
   connected with CPU managed DMA controllers inside the SoC.
 - Greatly improved support for direct digital links between off-SoC
   devices, providing a much simpler way of connecting things like digital
   basebands to CODECs.
 - Much more fine grained and robust locking, cleaning up some of the
   confusion that crept in with multi-component.
 - CPU support for nVidia Tegra 30 I2S and audio hub controllers and
   ST-Ericsson MSP I2S controolers
 - New CODEC drivers for Cirrus CS42L52, LAPIS Semiconductor ML26124, Texas
   Instruments LM49453.
 - Some regmap changes needed by the Tegra I2S driver.
 - mc13783 audio support.

 * Misc
 - Rewrite with module_pci_driver()
 - Xonar DGX support for snd-oxygen
 - Improvement of packet handling in snd-firewire driver
 - New USB-endpoint streaming logic
 - Enhanced M-audio FTU quirks and relevant cleanups
 - Increment the support of OSS devices to 256
 - snd-aloop accuracy improvement

 There are a few more pending changes for 3.5, but they will be
 sent slightly later as partly depending on the changes of DRM.

Problem:
When CONFIG_AB8500_CORE is set, building ab8500-core.c and
!(CONFIG_UX500_SOC_DB8500 | CONFIG_MFD_DB8500_PRCMU), both db8500-prcmu.h
and dbx500-prcmu.h take it upon themselves to _both_ create 'return 0'
inline functions for the following:

prcmu_abb_read()
prcmu_abb_write()
prcmu_config_clkout()
prcmu_ac_wake_req()
prcmu_ac_sleep_req()

Solution:
Depend on MFD_DB8500_PRCMU, which in turn depends on UX500_SOC_DB8500.

ac1806572d regulator updates for 3.5
The major thing here is the addition of some helpers to factor code out
 of drivers, making a fair proportion of regulators much more just data
 rather than code which is nice.

 - Helpers in the core for regulators using regmap, providing generic
   implementations of the enable and voltage selection operations which
   just need data to describe them in the drivers.
 - Split out voltage mapping and voltage setting, allowing many more
   drivers to take advantage of the infrastructure for selectors.
 - Loads and loads of cleanups from Axel Lin once again, including many
   changes to take advantage of the above new framework features
 - New drivers for Ricoh RC5T583, TI TPS62362, TI TPS62363, TI TPS65913,
   TI TWL6035 and TI TWL6037.

 Some of the registration changes to support the core refactoring caused
 so many conflicts that eventually topic branches were abandoned for this
 release.

Merge tag 'regulator-3.5' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/regulator

Pull regulator updates from Mark Brown:
 "The major thing here is the addition of some helpers to factor code
  out of drivers, making a fair proportion of regulators much more just
  data rather than code which is nice.

  - New drivers for Ricoh RC5T583, TI TPS62362, TI TPS62363, TI
    TPS65913, TI TWL6035 and TI TWL6037.

  Some of the registration changes to support the core refactoring
  caused so many conflicts that eventually topic branches were abandoned
  for this release."

cd99758ba3 mfd: Convert wm831x to irq_domain
The modern idiom is to use irq_domain to allocate interrupts. This is
useful partly to allow further infrastructure to be based on the domains
and partly because it makes it much easier to allocate virtual interrupts
to devices as we don't need to allocate a contiguous range of interrupt
numbers.

Convert the wm831x driver over to this infrastructure, using a legacy
IRQ mapping if an irq_base is specified in platform data and otherwise
using a linear mapping, always registering the interrupts even if they
won't ever be used. Only boards which need to use the GPIOs as
interrupts should need to use an irq_base.

This means that we can't use the MFD irq_base management since the
unless we're using an explicit irq_base from platform data we can't rely
on a linear mapping of interrupts. Instead we need to map things via
the irq_domain - provide a conveniencem function wm831x_irq() to save a
small amount of typing when doing so. Looking at this I couldn't clearly
see anything the MFD core could do to make this nicer.

Since we're not supporting device tree yet there's no meaningful
advantage if we don't do this conversion in one, the fact that the
interrupt resources are used for repeated IP blocks makes accessor
functions for the irq_domain more trouble to do than they're worth.

4af8be67fd regmap: Convert regmap_irq to use irq_domain
This gets us up to date with the recommended current kernel infrastructure
and should transparently give us device tree interrupt bindings for any
devices using the framework. If an explicit IRQ mapping is passed in then
a legacy interrupt range is created, otherwise a simple linear mapping is
used. Previously a mapping was mandatory so existing drivers should not
be affected.

A function regmap_irq_get_virq() is provided to allow drivers to map
individual IRQs which should be used in preference to the existing
regmap_irq_chip_get_base() which is only valid if a legacy IRQ range is
provided.

ce7e4e1122 mfd: Fix wm831x register range passing for recent ARM updates
The removal of mach/io.h from most ARM platforms also set the range of
valid IO ports to be empty for most platforms when previously any 32
bit integer had been valid. This makes it impossible to add IO resources
as the added range is smaller than that of the root resource for IO ports.

Since we're not really using IO memory at all fix this by defining our
own root resource outside the normal tree and make that the parent of
all IO resources. This also ensures we won't conflict with read IO ports
if we ever run on a platform which happens to use them.

465c29d384 mfd: Convert Intel MSIC driver to use devm_* interfaces.
The devm_* functions eliminate the need for manual resource releasing
and simplify error handling. Resources allocated by devm_* are freed
automatically on driver detach.

2fe372fc2a mfd: Avoid unbalanced asic3 irq wakeup enables/disables
The mfd/asic3 driver does not currently define a irq_set_wake() handler.
Consequently any attempt to configure the 3 ASIC3 GPIO buttons - RECORD,
CALENDAR, HOME - as wakeup sources results in Unbalanced IRQ warnings
when the system is woken from sleep mode:

WARNING: at kernel/irq/manage.c:520 irq_set_irq_wake+0xc4/0xf8()
Unbalanced IRQ 342 wake disable
...
WARNING: at kernel/irq/manage.c:520 irq_set_irq_wake+0xc4/0xf8()
Unbalanced IRQ 337 wake disable
...
WARNING: at kernel/irq/manage.c:520 irq_set_irq_wake+0xc4/0xf8()
Unbalanced IRQ 339 wake disable
...

This patch adds a irq_set_wake() handler to the mfd/asic3 driver.

1baf665b81 mfd: Remove redundant spi driver bus initialization
In ancient times it was necessary to manually initialize the bus field of an
spi_driver to spi_bus_type. These days this is done in spi_driver_register() so
we can drop the manual assignment.

The patch was generated using the following coccinelle semantic patch:
// <smpl>
@@
identifier _driver;
@@
struct spi_driver _driver = {
    .driver = {
-           .bus = &spi_bus_type,
    },
};
// </smpl>

4f304245bb mfd: Set asic3 DS1WM clock_rate
The mfd/asic3 driver does not set the ds1wm_driver_data clock_rate field
before passing the structure to the DS1WM w1 busmaster driver.
This was not noticed before commit 26a6afb, because ds1wm_find_divisor()
unintentionally returned the correct divisor when a zero clock_rate was
passed in. However after that commit DS1WM fails a zero clock_rate:

ds1wm ds1wm: no suitable divisor for 0Hz clock

This patch sets the ds1wm_driver_data clock_rate field.
