b6dff3ec5e CRED: Separate task security context from task_struct
Separate the task security context from task_struct. At this point, the
security data is temporarily embedded in the task_struct with two pointers
pointing to it.

Note that the Alpha arch is altered as it refers to (E)UID and (E)GID in
entry.S via asm-offsets.

b4212737a3 CRED: Wrap task credential accesses in the MIPS arch
Wrap access to task credentials so that they can be separated more easily from
the task_struct during the introduction of COW creds.

Change most current->(|e|s|fs)[ug]id to current_(|e|s|fs)[ug]id().

Change some task->e?[ug]id to task_e?[ug]id(). In some places it makes more
sense to use RCU directly rather than a convenient wrapper; these will be
addressed by later patches.

ae1e9130bf sched: rename SCHED_NO_NO_OMIT_FRAME_POINTER => SCHED_OMIT_FRAME_POINTER
Impact: cleanup, change .config option name

We had this ugly config name for a long time for hysteric raisons.
Rename it to a saner name.

We still cannot get rid of it completely, until /proc/<pid>/stack
usage replaces WCHAN usage for good.

We'll be able to do that in the v2.6.29/v2.6.30 timeframe.

cea7e2dfde MIPS: Sort out CPU type to name translation.
As noticed by David Daney <ddaney@caviumnetworks.com>, the old long switch
statement did not comply with the Linux C coding style. It was also yet
another place of code to be changed when adding a new processor type
leading to annoying bugs for example in /proc/cpuinfo.

Fixed by moving the setting of the CPU type string into the core of the
probing code and a few BUG_ON() test to ensure the CPU probing code indeed
did its job and removing multiple now redundant tests.

ba3049ed40 MIPS: Switch FPU emulator trap to BREAK instruction.
Arguably using the address error handler has always been ugly. But with
processors that handle unaligned loads and stores in hardware the
current mechanism ceases to work so switch it to a BREAK instruction and
allocate break code 514 to the FPU emulator.

97b0511ce1 MIPS: TXx9: Make firmware parameter passing more robust
When booting Linux on a txx9 board with VxWorks boot loader, it crashes in
prom_getenv(), as VxWorks doesn't pass firmware parameters in a0-a3 (in my
case, the actual leftover values in these registers were 0x80002000,
0x80001fe0, 0x2000, and 0x20).

Make the parsing of argc, argv, and envp a bit more robust by checking if
argc is a number below CKSEG0, and argv/envp point to CKSEG0.

dc52ddc0e6 container freezer: implement freezer cgroup subsystem
This patch implements a new freezer subsystem in the control groups
framework. It provides a way to stop and resume execution of all tasks in
a cgroup by writing in the cgroup filesystem.

The freezer subsystem in the container filesystem defines a file named
freezer.state. Writing "FROZEN" to the state file will freeze all tasks
in the cgroup. Subsequently writing "RUNNING" will unfreeze the tasks in
the cgroup. Reading will return the current state.

* Examples of usage :

   # mkdir /containers/freezer
   # mount -t cgroup -ofreezer freezer /containers
   # mkdir /containers/0
   # echo $some_pid > /containers/0/tasks

to get status of the freezer subsystem :

   # cat /containers/0/freezer.state
   RUNNING

to freeze all tasks in the container :

   # echo FROZEN > /containers/0/freezer.state
   # cat /containers/0/freezer.state
   FREEZING
   # cat /containers/0/freezer.state
   FROZEN

to unfreeze all tasks in the container :

   # echo RUNNING > /containers/0/freezer.state
   # cat /containers/0/freezer.state
   RUNNING

This is the basic mechanism which should do the right thing for user space
task in a simple scenario.

It's important to note that freezing can be incomplete. In that case we
return EBUSY. This means that some tasks in the cgroup are busy doing
something that prevents us from completely freezing the cgroup at this
time. After EBUSY, the cgroup will remain partially frozen -- reflected
by freezer.state reporting "FREEZING" when read. The state will remain
"FREEZING" until one of these things happens:

	1) Userspace cancels the freezing operation by writing "RUNNING" to
		the freezer.state file
	2) Userspace retries the freezing operation by writing "FROZEN" to
the freezer.state file (writing "FREEZING" is not legal
		and returns EIO)
	3) The tasks that blocked the cgroup from entering the "FROZEN"
state disappear from the cgroup's set of tasks.

f7a5000f7a compat: move cp_compat_stat to common code
struct stat / compat_stat is the same on all architectures, so
cp_compat_stat should be, too.

Turns out it is, except that various architectures have slightly and some
high2lowuid/high2lowgid or the direct assignment instead of the
SET_UID/SET_GID that expands to the correct one anyway.

This patch replaces the arch-specific cp_compat_stat implementations with
a common one based on the x86-64 one.

d7161a6534 kgdb, x86, arm, mips, powerpc: ignore user space single stepping
On the x86 arch, user space single step exceptions should be ignored
if they occur in the kernel space, such as ptrace stepping through a
system call.

First check if it is kgdb that is executing a single step, then ensure
it is not an accidental traversal into the user space, while in kgdb,
any other time the TIF_SINGLESTEP is set, kgdb should ignore the
exception.

On x86, arm, mips and powerpc, the kgdb_contthread usage was
inconsistent with the way single stepping is implemented in the kgdb
core. The arch specific stub should always set the
kgdb_cpu_doing_single_step correctly if it is single stepping. This
allows kgdb to correctly process an instruction steps if ptrace
happens to be requesting an instruction step over a system call.

e545a6140b kernel/cpu.c: create a CPU_STARTING cpu_chain notifier
Right now, there is no notifier that is called on a new cpu, before the new
cpu begins processing interrupts/softirqs.
Various kernel function would need that notification, e.g. kvm works around
by calling smp_call_function_single(), rcu polls cpu_online_map.

The patch adds a CPU_STARTING notification. It also adds a helper function
