c386e0797d media: dvb-frontends/drxk_hard.c: fix uninitialized variable warning
drxk_hard.c: In function 'hi_command.constprop':
drxk_hard.c:1016:5: warning: 'wait_cmd' may be used uninitialized in this function [-Wmaybe-uninitialized]
 1015 |   } while ((status < 0) && (retry_count < DRXK_MAX_RETRIES)
      | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 1016 |     && (wait_cmd != 0));
      | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The underlying cause is that the while condition is wrong. It should be:

(status < 0 || wait_cmd) && (retry_count < DRXK_MAX_RETRIES)

'wait_cmd' is only valid if '!(status < 0)'.

way the driver works, but it doesn't hurt to add a check, in order

99cc7ad46b Merge branch 'i2c/for-4.19' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/wsa/linux
Pull i2c updates from Wolfram Sang:

 - the core has now a lockless variant of i2c_smbus_xfer. Some open
coded versions of this got removed in drivers. This also enables
   proper SCCB support in regmap.

 - locking got a more precise naming. i2c_{un}lock_adapter() had to go,
and we know use i2c_lock_bus() consistently with flags like
I2C_LOCK_ROOT_ADAPTER and I2C_LOCK_SEGMENT to avoid ambiguity.

 - the gpio fault injector got a new delicate testcase

 - the bus recovery procedure got fixed to handle the new testcase
   correctly

 - a new quirk flag for controllers not able to handle zero length
messages together with driver updates to use it

 - new drivers: FSI bus attached I2C masters, GENI I2C controller, Owl
   family S900

 - and a good set of driver improvements and bugfixes

40e431112c media: cleanup fall-through comments

f1b1eabff0 media: dvb: represent min/max/step/tolerance freqs in Hz
Right now, satellite frontend drivers specify frequencies in kHz,
while terrestrial/cable ones specify in Hz. That's confusing
for developers.

However, the main problem is that universal frontends capable
of handling both satellite and non-satelite delivery systems
are appearing. We end by needing to hack the drivers in
order to support such hybrid frontends.

So, convert everything to specify frontend frequencies in Hz.

c6a677c6f3 Staging/IIO patches for 4.12-rc1
Here is the big staging tree update for 4.12-rc1. And it's a big one,
adding about 350k new lines of crap^Wcode, mostly all in a big dump of
media drivers from Intel. But there's other new drivers in here as
well, yet-another-wifi driver, new IIO drivers, and a new crypto
accelerator. We also deleted a bunch of stuff, mostly in patch
cleanups, but also the Android ION code has shrunk a lot, and the
Android low memory killer driver was finally deleted, much to the
 celebration of the -mm developers.

All of these have been in linux-next with a few build issues that will
show up when you merge to your tree, I'll follow up with fixes for those
 after this gets merged.

b73bb2ab97 [media] dvb-frontends/drxk: don't log errors on unsupported operation mode
When fe_ops.read_status is called and no channel is tuned (yet), the
subsequent calls to get_lock_status() causes the kernel log to be filled

which either means a NULL pointer was passed for the p_lock_status var,
or neither QAM nor OFDM/DVBT operation mode are active. Instead of
filling the kernel log in the latter case, print out a message to the debug

cd7a67a4f1 [media] drxk_hard: Don't use CamelCase
X-Patchwork-Delegate: mchehab@redhat.com
Thare are lots of CamelCase warnings produced by checkpatch.pl.
This weren't fixed at the time the driver got submitted due
to the lack of manpower do to such cleanup.
Now that I have one script that automates this task, cleans
it. That makes the driver almost checkpatch-compliant,
except for 80 column warnings.

b5e9eb6f52 [media] drxk_hard: don't re-implement log10
X-Patchwork-Delegate: mchehab@redhat.com
Log10 routine is already defined at dvb_math.h and provides a good
enough approximation for 100 x log10(). So, instead of reinventing
the wheel, use the already existing function.
While here, don't use CamelCase on the function name.

48f72a1a4c [media] drxk: fix CNR calculus
Changeset 8f3741e accidentally broke the CNR estimation. It should
be calculated as "a + b - c". However, previously, the subtraction
by c only occurred if SNR would be positive, due to a bad binding
to DVBv3 API.

This also fixes the following warning:
drivers/media/dvb-frontends/drxk_hard.c:2556:6: warning: variable 'c' set but not used [-Wunused-but-set-variable]

340e76965c [media] drxk: Fix bogus signal strength indicator
The DVBv3 signal strength indicator is bogus: it doesn't range
from 0 to 65535 as it would be expected. Also, 0 means the max
signal strength.
Now that a better way to estimate it was added, use the new
way.

59a7a23c47 [media] drxk: use a better calculus for RF strength
The AZ6007 driver released by Terratec has a better way to
estimate the signal strength, at CtrlSigStrength(). Port it
to the driver.
It should be noticed that there are two parameters there that
are tuner-specific.
