- struct file: private_data
The patch also contains some whitespace and coding style cleanups in the
relevant areas.

Making structs const prevents accidental bugs and with the proper debug
options they're protected against corruption.

switched to simple_read_from_buffer(), killed broken use of min().
Incidentally, that use of min() had been fixed once, only to be
reintroduced in commit 4244f72436:
[PATCH] USB: upgrade of the idmouse driver
[snip]
- if (count > IMGSIZE - *ppos)
- count = IMGSIZE - *ppos;
+ count = min ((loff_t)count, IMGSIZE - (*ppos));
Note the lovely use of cast to shut the warning about misuse of min()
up...

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history,
even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git
archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about
3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early
git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good
infrastructure for it.
Let it rip!
