The audio codecs in the A33 and A64 are both integrated variants of the
X-Powers AC100 codec. However, there are some differences between them
that merit having a separate compatible:
- The A64 has a second DRC block, not present in the AC100 or A33.
- The A33 has some extra muxing options for AIF1/2/3 in the
AIF3_SGP_CTRL register, which are not present in the AC100 or A64.
- The A33 is missing registers providing jack detection functionality.
- The A33 is claimed to invert LRCK, but this is not seen on A64.
Since the driver will continue to work on the A64 using the A33
compatible, albeit without jack detection functionality and with
possibly inverted channels, as it does now, allow the A33 compatible
to be used as a fallback.

Another wack-a-mole pass of killing off unnecessary 'allOf + $ref'
usage.
json-schema versions draft7 and earlier have a weird behavior in that
any keywords combined with a '$ref' are ignored (silently). The correct
form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed
in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other
keywords. The json-schema library doesn't yet support this, but the
tooling now does a fixup for this and either way works.
This has been a constant source of review comments, so let's change this
treewide so everyone copies the simpler syntax.

Right now the direction of a DAI has to be specified as a literal
number in the device tree, e.g.:
dai@0 {
reg = <0>;
direction = <2>;
};
but this does not make it immediately clear that this is a
playback/RX-only DAI.
Actually, q6asm-dai.c has useful defines for this. Move them to the
dt-bindings header to allow using them in the dts(i) files.
The example above then becomes:
dai@0 {
reg = <0>;
direction = <Q6ASM_DAI_RX>;
};
which is immediately recognizable as playback/RX-only DAI.

Hi,
Changes since v3:
- Fix the single clock source handling and typo
Changes since v2:
- DT binding:
- use proper (?) patch subject for the binding docuemtn patch
- drop pll4 and pll15 from DT - driver should check the rate via
clk_get_parent. If it is not available (as it is not currently) then use the
match_data provided rates.
- add simple explanation for the clocking setup
- Use descriptive names for clocks: cpb/ivi-mcasp-auxclk and cpb/ivi-codec-scki
- dt_binding_check shows no errors/warnings
- ASoC machine driver:
- Try to read the PLL4/15 rate with clk API (parent of the two clock divider)
if it is not available then use the match_data provided numbers.
- Support for single PLL setup
Changes since v1:
- Fixed DT binding documentation errors
- Rebased on ASoC head and updated the driver to compile and work
This series adds support for the analog audio setup on the j721e EVM.
The audio setup of the EVM is:
Common Processor Board (CPB): McASP10 <-> pcm3168a
Infotainment Expansion Board (IVI): McASP0 <-> 2x pcm3168a
Both CPB and IVI wired in parallel serializer setup.
The first patch adds the stream_name for McASP driver as it is needed in
multicodec (and would be needed in DPCM) setup for proper DAPM handling.
The second patch adds two DT schema, one for the cpb and one for the cpb+ivi
card.
Regards,
Peter

The audio system on S5PV210 Aries boards have a wm8994 codec connected
to the Samsung I2S0 DAI. Jack detection is done via GPIOs, an ADC, and
an extcon device (fsa9480).
There are two main variants, one with an FM radio and where the wm8994 is
the master for the modem audio and the other without FM and the modem is
the master.

In order to support new EASRC and simplify the code structure,
We decide to share the common structure between them. This bring
a problem that EASRC accept format directly from devicetree, but
ASRC accept width from devicetree.
In order to align with new ESARC, we add new property fsl,asrc-format.
The fsl,asrc-format can replace the fsl,asrc-width, then driver
can accept format from devicetree, don't need to convert it to
format through width.

Tegra clk_out_1, clk_out_2, and clk_out_3 are part of PMC block and
these clocks are moved from the clock driver to PMC driver with PMC as
a provider for these clocks.
Update bindings document to use PMC as clock provider for clk_out_2 and
change ID to PMC clock ID.

Fix various inconsistencies in schema indentation. Most of these are
list indentation which should be 2 spaces more than the start of the
enclosing keyword. This doesn't matter functionally, but affects running
scripts which do transforms on the schema files.

Change the listed examples to use more generic node names, representing
the class of the device nodes:
- apr-service@<id>
- dai@<id>
Both names are already in use in arch/arm64/boot/dts/qcom/sdm845.dtsi.
Also add #address-cells + #size-cells to the q6asm example,
without them the example produces dtc warnings.

In the old txt situation we add/describe only properties that are used
by the driver/hardware itself. With yaml it also filters things in a
node that are used by other drivers like 'power-domains' for rk3399,
so add it to 'rockchip-i2s.yaml'.

Current dts files with 'spdif' nodes are manually verified.
In order to automate this process rockchip-spdif.txt
has to be converted to yaml.
Also rk3188.dtsi, rk3288.dtsi use an extra fallback string,
so change this in the documentation.
Changed:
"rockchip,rk3188-spdif", "rockchip,rk3066-spdif"
"rockchip,rk3288-spdif", "rockchip,rk3066-spdif"

Some devices have a 4-pin headset jack instead of 3-pin microphone jack.
The new boolean nvidia,headset property tells that the Mic Jack represents
the state of a headset microphone. This additional hardware description is
needed because microphone detection procedure differs in a case of a 4-pin
jack from a 3-pin jack.
