ca283ea992 btrfs: constify more pointer parameters
Continue adding const to parameters.  This is for clarity and minor
addition to safety. There are some minor effects, in the assembly code
and .ko measured on release config.

f4f8947732 btrfs: abort transaction if we don't find extref in btrfs_del_inode_extref()
When an extended ref is deleted we do a sanity check right before
removing the item, if we can't find it then handle the error. This is
done by btrfs_handle_fs_error() but this is from the time before we had
the transaction abort infrastructure, so switch to that. The end result
is the same, the error is reported and switched to read-only. We newly
return the -ENOENT error code as this better represents what happened.

e094f48040 btrfs: change root->root_key.objectid to btrfs_root_id()
A comment from Filipe on one of my previous cleanups brought my
attention to a new helper we have for getting the root id of a root,
which makes it easier to read in the code.

wasting space and making the code more complicated.  Move this into

4d09b4e942 btrfs: do not use a function to initialize btrfs_ref
btrfs_ref currently has ->owning_root, and ->ref_root is shared between
the tree ref and data ref, so in order to move that into btrfs_ref
proper I would need to add another root parameter to the initialization
function.  This function has too many arguments, and adding another root
will make it easy to make mistakes about which root goes where.

Drop the generic ref init function and statically initialize the
btrfs_ref in every usage.  This makes the code easier to read because we
can see what elements we're assigning, and will make the upcoming change
moving the ref_root into the btrfs_ref more clear and less error prone
than adding a new element to the initialization function.

2b712e3bb2 btrfs: remove unused included headers
With help of neovim, LSP and clangd we can identify header files that
are not actually needed to be included in the .c files. This is focused
only on removal (with minor fixups), further cleanups are possible but
will require doing the header files properly with forward declarations,
minimized includes and include-what-you-use care.

457cb1ddf5 btrfs: track owning root in btrfs_ref
While data extents require us to store additional inline refs to track
the original owner on free, this information is available implicitly for
metadata. It is found in the owner field of the header of the tree
block. Even if other trees refer to this block and the original ref goes
away, we will not rewrite that header field, so it will reliably give the
original owner.

In addition, there is a relocation case where a new data extent needs to
have an owning root separate from the referring root wired through
delayed refs.

To use it for recording simple quota deltas, we need to wire this root
id through from when we create the delayed ref until we fully process
it. Store it in the generic btrfs_ref struct of the delayed ref.

50564b651d btrfs: abort transaction on generation mismatch when marking eb as dirty
When marking an extent buffer as dirty, at btrfs_mark_buffer_dirty(),
we check if its generation matches the running transaction and if not we
just print a warning. Such mismatch is an indicator that something really
went wrong and only printing a warning message (and stack trace) is not
enough to prevent a corruption. Allowing a transaction to commit with such
an extent buffer will trigger an error if we ever try to read it from disk
due to a generation mismatch with its parent generation.

So abort the current transaction with -EUCLEAN if we notice a generation
mismatch. For this we need to pass a transaction handle to
btrfs_mark_buffer_dirty() which is always available except in test code,
in which case we can pass NULL since it operates on dummy extent buffers
and all test roots have a single node/leaf (root node at level 0).

a8fdc05172 btrfs: remove obsolete delayed ref throttling logic when truncating items
We have this logic encapsulated in btrfs_should_throttle_delayed_refs()
where we try to estimate if running the current amount of delayed
references we have will take more than half a second, and if so, the
caller btrfs_should_throttle_delayed_refs() should do something to
prevent more and more delayed refs from being accumulated.

This logic was added in commit 0a2b2a844a ("Btrfs: throttle delayed
refs better") and then further refined in commit a79b7d4b3e ("Btrfs:
async delayed refs"). The idea back then was that the caller of
btrfs_should_throttle_delayed_refs() would release its transaction
handle (by calling btrfs_end_transaction()) when that function returned
true, then btrfs_end_transaction() would trigger an async job to run
delayed references in a workqueue, and later start/join a transaction
again and do more work.

However we don't run delayed references asynchronously anymore, that
was removed in commit db2462a6ad ("btrfs: don't run delayed refs in
the end transaction logic"). That makes the logic that tries to estimate
how long we will take to run our current delayed references, at
btrfs_should_throttle_delayed_refs(), pointless as we don't take any
action to run delayed references anymore. We do have other type of
throttling, which consists of checking the size and reserved space of
the delayed and global block reserves, as well as if fluhsing delayed
references for the current transaction was already started, etc - this
is all done by btrfs_should_end_transaction(), and the only user of
btrfs_should_throttle_delayed_refs() does periodically call
btrfs_should_end_transaction().

So remove btrfs_should_throttle_delayed_refs() and the infrastructure
that keeps track of the average time used for running delayed references,
as well as adapting btrfs_truncate_inode_items() to call
btrfs_check_space_for_delayed_refs() instead.

4a6f5ccac5 btrfs: remove redundant counter check at btrfs_truncate_inode_items()
At btrfs_truncate_inode_items(), in the while loop when we decide that we
are going to delete an item, it's pointless to check that 'pending_del_nr'
is non-zero in an else clause because the corresponding if statement is
checking if 'pending_del_nr' has a value of zero. So just remove that
condition from the else clause.

6db7531882 btrfs: use struct fscrypt_str instead of struct qstr
While struct qstr is more natural without fscrypt, since it's provided
by dentries, struct fscrypt_str is provided by the fscrypt handlers
processing dentries, and is thus more natural in the fscrypt world.
Replace all of the struct qstr uses with struct fscrypt_str.

e43eec81c5 btrfs: use struct qstr instead of name and namelen pairs
Many functions throughout btrfs take name buffer and name length
arguments. Most of these functions at the highest level are usually
called with these arguments extracted from a supplied dentry's name.
But the entire name can be passed instead, making each function a little
more elegant.

Each function whose arguments are currently the name and length
extracted from a dentry is herein converted to instead take a pointer to
the name in the dentry. The couple of calls to these calls without a
struct dentry are converted to create an appropriate qstr to pass in.
Additionally, every function which is only called with a name/len
extracted directly from a qstr is also converted.

This change has positive effect on stack consumption, frame of many
functions is reduced but this will be used in the future for fscrypt
related structures.

This is a large patch, but because they're all macros it's impossible to
split up.  Simply copy all of the item accessors in ctree.h and paste
them in accessors.h, and then update any files to include the header so
everything compiles.

71d18b5354 btrfs: add inode to truncate control
In the future we're going to want to use btrfs_truncate_inode_items
without looking up the associated inode.  In order to accommodate this
add the inode to btrfs_truncate_control and handle the case where
control->inode is NULL appropriately.  This is fairly straightforward,
we simply need to add a helper for the trace points, as the file extent
map update is controlled by a flag on btrfs_truncate_control.

655807b895 btrfs: use a flag to control when to clear the file extent range
We only care about updating the file extent range when we are doing a
normal truncation.  We skip this for tree logging currently, but we can
also skip this for eviction as well.  Using a flag makes it more
explicit when we want to do this work.

5caa490ed8 btrfs: control extent reference updates with a control flag for truncate
We've had weird bugs in the past where we forgot to adjust the truncate
path to deal with the fact that we can be called by the tree log path.
Instead of checking if our root is a LOG_ROOT use a flag on the
btrfs_truncate_control to indicate that we don't want to do extent
reference updates during this truncate.

We currently have a bunch of awkward checks to make sure we only update
the inode i_bytes if we're truncating the real inode.  Instead keep
track of the number of bytes we need to sub in the
btrfs_truncate_control, and then do the appropriate adjustment in the
truncate paths that care.

c2ddb612a8 btrfs: only update i_size in truncate paths that care
We currently will update the i_size of the inode as we truncate it down,
however we skip this if we're calling btrfs_truncate_inode_items from
the tree log code.  However we also don't care about this in the case of
evict.  Instead keep track of this value in the btrfs_truncate_control
and then have btrfs_truncate() and the free space cache truncate path
both do the i_size update themselves.

7097a941bf btrfs: remove found_extent from btrfs_truncate_inode_items
We only set this if we find a normal file extent, del_item == 1, and the
file extent points to a real extent and isn't a hole extent.  We can use
del_item == 1 && extent_start != 0 to get the same information that
found_extent provides, so remove this variable and use the other
variables instead.

2adc75d612 btrfs: move btrfs_kill_delayed_inode_items into evict
We have a special case in btrfs_truncate_inode_items() to call
btrfs_kill_delayed_inode_items() if min_type == 0, which is only called
during evict.

Instead move this out into evict proper, and add some comments because I
erroneously attempted to remove this code altogether without
understanding what we were doing.

Evict is updating the inode only because we only care about making sure
the i_nlink count has hit disk.  If we had pending deletions we don't
want to process those via the delayed inode updates, we simply want to
drop all of them and reclaim the reserved metadata space.  Then from
there the btrfs_truncate_inode_items() will do the work to remove all of
the items as appropriate.

9a4a1429ac btrfs: move extent locking outside of btrfs_truncate_inode_items
Currently we are locking the extent and dropping the extent cache for
any inodes we truncate, unless they're in the tree log.  We call this
helper from:

- truncate
- evict
- tree log
- free space cache truncation

For evict we've already dropped all of the extent cache for this inode
once we've gotten here, and we're the only one accessing this inode, so
this step is unnecessary.

For the tree log code we already skip this part.

Pull this work into the truncate path and the free space cache
truncation path.

This is an inode item related manipulation with a few vfs related
adjustments.  I'm going to remove the vfs related code from this helper
and simplify it a lot, but I want those changes to be easily seen via
git blame, so move this function now and then the simplification work
can be done.

3212fa14e7 btrfs: drop the _nr from the item helpers
Now that all call sites are using the slot number to modify item values,
rename the SETGET helpers to raw_item_*(), and then rework the _nr()
helpers to be the btrfs_item_*() btrfs_set_item_*() helpers, and then
rename all of the callers to the new helpers.

227f3cd0d5 btrfs: use btrfs_item_size_nr/btrfs_item_offset_nr everywhere
We have this pattern in a lot of places

	item = btrfs_item_nr(slot);
	btrfs_item_size(leaf, item);

when we could simply use

	btrfs_item_size(leaf, slot);

Fix all callers of btrfs_item_size() and btrfs_item_offset() to use the
_nr variation of the helpers.

9678c54388 btrfs: Remove custom crc32c init code
The custom crc32 init code was introduced in
14a958e678 ("Btrfs: fix btrfs boot when compiled as built-in") to
enable using btrfs as a built-in. However, later as pointed out by
60efa5eb2e ("Btrfs: use late_initcall instead of module_init") this
wasn't enough and finally btrfs was switched to late_initcall which
comes after the generic crc32c implementation is initiliased. The
latter commit superseeded the former. Now that we don't have to
maintain our own code let's just remove it and switch to using the
generic implementation.

Despite touching a lot of files the patch is really simple. Here is the gist of
the changes:

1. Select LIBCRC32C rather than the low-level modules.
2. s/btrfs_crc32c/crc32c/g
3. replace hash.h with linux/crc32c.h
4. Move the btrfs namehash funcs to ctree.h and change the tree accordingly.

I've tested this with btrfs being both a module and a built-in and xfstest
doesn't complain.

Does seem to fix the longstanding problem of not automatically selectiong
the crc32c module when btrfs is used. Possibly there is a workaround in
dracut.

The modinfo confirms that now all the module dependencies are there:

before:
depends:        zstd_compress,zstd_decompress,raid6_pq,xor,zlib_deflate

after:
depends:        libcrc32c,zstd_compress,zstd_decompress,raid6_pq,xor,zlib_deflate

1f250e929a Btrfs: fix log replay failure after unlink and link combination
If we have a file with 2 (or more) hard links in the same directory,
remove one of the hard links, create a new file (or link an existing file)
in the same directory with the name of the removed hard link, and then
finally fsync the new file, we end up with a log that fails to replay,
causing a mount failure.

Example:

  $ mkfs.btrfs -f /dev/sdb
  $ mount /dev/sdb /mnt

  $ mkdir /mnt/testdir
  $ touch /mnt/testdir/foo
  $ ln /mnt/testdir/foo /mnt/testdir/bar

  $ sync

  $ unlink /mnt/testdir/bar
  $ touch /mnt/testdir/bar
  $ xfs_io -c "fsync" /mnt/testdir/bar

  <power failure>

  $ mount /dev/sdb /mnt
  mount: mount(2) failed: /mnt: No such file or directory

This happens because the log has inode reference items for both inode 258
(the first file we created) and inode 259 (the second file created), and
when processing the reference item for inode 258, we replace the
corresponding item in the subvolume tree (which has two names, "foo" and
"bar") witht he one in the log (which only has one name, "foo") without
removing the corresponding dir index keys from the parent directory.
Later, when processing the inode reference item for inode 259, which has
a name of "bar" associated to it, we notice that dir index entries exist
for that name and for a different inode, so we attempt to unlink that
name, which fails because the inode reference item for inode 258 no longer
has the name "bar" associated to it, making a call to btrfs_unlink_inode()
fail with a -ENOENT error.

Fix this by unlinking all the names in an inode reference item from a
subvolume tree that are not present in the inode reference item found in
the log tree, before overwriting it with the item from the log tree.
