Documentation: DT bindings: Tegra AHB: require the legacy base address for existing chips
Per Stephen Warren, note in the Tegra AHB DT binding documentation
that we specifically deprecate any attempt to use the IP block's
actual hardware base address, and advocate the use of the legacy
"off-by-four" address in the 'regs' property, for Tegra chips with
existing upstream Linux DT files that include a Tegra AHB node. This
patch updates the documentation accordingly.
Changing the existing kernel DT data isn't under consideration because
Linux kernel DT data policy is to preserve compatibility between newer
DT data files and older kernels. However, this additional step of
changing the documentation should discourage others from sending
kernel patches to try to change the legacy kernel DT data.
Furthermore, for out-of-tree software (such as bootloaders or other
operating systems) that may rely on Linux kernel DT binding
documentation as an ABI (but not the Linux kernel DT data itself),
such a change may allow future convergence with the Linux kernel DT
data without additional code changes.

Scorpion supports a set of local performance monitor event
selection registers (LPM) sitting behind a cp15 based interface
that extend the architected PMU events to include Scorpion CPU
and Venum VFP specific events. To use these events the user is
expected to program the lpm register with the event code shifted
into the group they care about and then point the PMNx event at
that region+group combo by writing a LPMn_GROUPx event. Add
support for this hardware.
Note: the raw event number is a pure software construct that
allows us to map the multi-dimensional number space of regions,
groups, and event codes into a flat event number space suitable
for use by the perf framework.
This is based on code originally written by Sheetal Sahasrabudhe,
Ashwin Chaugule, and Neil Leeder [1].

This patch adds support to STiH410 SoC.
Please note "st,stih410" is already present in device tree.
The problem is that it is missing the entry in the match table,
and so the L2 cache and other cpus than 0 don't get initialized.

This patch adds support for making one power domain a sub-domain of
other domain. This is useful for modeling power dependences for devices
like TV Mixer or Camera ISP, which needs to have more than one power
domain enabled to be operational.

Add a compatible string for the NVIDIA Denver CPU to the ARM CPU DT
binding documentation file. The primary objective here is to keep
checkpatch.pl from warning when the compatible string is used in an
SoC DT file, per:

During a recent cleanup of the arm64 DTs it has become clear that
the handling of PPIs in xxxx_set_type() is incorrect. The ARM TRMs
for GICv2 and later allow for "implementation defined" support for
setting the edge or level type of the PPI interrupts and don't restrict
the activation level of the signal. Current ARM implementations
do restrict the PPI level type to IRQ_TYPE_LEVEL_LOW, but licensees
of the IP can decide to shoot themselves in the foot at any time.

This adds support for the Tegra132 SoC, which is essentially a Tegra124
with a dual Denver CPU complex instead of the quad-Cortex-A15. There is
not much here, only the Kconfig entries, but it will allow us to more
easily get subsequent patches in (many of which have already been sent
for review).

Hardware-triggered thermal reset requires configuring the I2C
reset procedure. This configuration is read from the device tree,

CSR Marco SoC has never shipped to customers that could be interested
in mainline support. and new Atlas7 is a replacement SoC that is in

Firmware on certain boards (e.g. ODROID-U3) can leave incorrect L2C prefetch
settings configured in registers leading to crashes if L2C is enabled
without overriding them. This patch introduces bindings to enable
prefetch settings to be specified from DT and necessary support in the
driver.

Peter Maydell suggested that we describe new devices / DTB nodes in the
kernel Documentation tree that we expose to arm "virt" guests in QEMU.
Although the kernel is not required to access the fw_cfg interface,
"Documentation/devicetree/bindings/arm" is probably the best central spot
to keep the fw_cfg description in.
