9e5f21d656 media: vivid: fix 'disconnect' error injection
The 'disconnect' error injection functionality suffered from bit rot.

New device nodes were added without updating vivid_user_gen_s_ctrl(), so
that function had to be updated for the new device nodes.

Also, vivid didn't check if specific device nodes were actually ever
created, so the vivid_is_last_user() would fail on that (it would return
true instead of false in that case).

Finally, selecting Disconnect, then unbind the vivid driver would fail
since the remove() would think that the device nodes were already
unregistered. Keep track of whether disconnect was pressed and re-register
the device nodes in remove() before doing the real unregister.

206bc0f6fb media: vicodec: mark the stateless FWHT API as stable
The FWHT stateless 'uAPI' was staging and marked explicitly in the
V4L2 specification that it will change and is unstable.
Note that these control IDs were never exported as a public API,
they were only defined in kernel-local headers (fwht-ctrls.h).

Now, the FWHT stateless controls is ready to be part
of the stable uAPI.

While not too late:

- Rename V4L2_CID_MPEG_VIDEO_FWHT_PARAMS to V4L2_CID_STATELESS_FWHT_PARAMS.

- Move the contents of fwht-ctrls.h to v4l2-controls.h.

- Move the public parts of drivers/media/test-drivers/vicodec/codec-fwht.h
  to v4l2-controls.h.

- Add V4L2_CTRL_TYPE_FWHT_PARAMS control initialization and validation.

- Add p_fwht_params to struct v4l2_ext_control.

3abfc314c5 media: vicodec: add V4L2_ prefix before FWHT_VERSION and FWHT_FL_*
The FWHT stateless 'uAPI' was staging and marked explicitly in the
V4L2 specification that it will change and is unstable.
Note that these control IDs were never exported as a public API,
they were only defined at the driver's code.

While not too late, let's rename them is preparation for promoting
the stateless FWHT codec API as a public API.

1d2b2a6d8c media: vidtv: fix the network ID range
As defined at ETSI TS 101 162, original network IDs up to 0xfebf
are reserved for registration at dvb.org.

Let's use, instead, an original network ID at the range
0xff00-0xffff, as this is for private temporary usage.

As the same value is also used for the network ID,
the range 0xff01-0xffff also fits better, as values
lower than that depend if the network is used for
satellite, terrestrial, cable of CI.

While here, move the TS ID to the bridge code, where it
is used, and change its value, as it was identical to
the value previously used by network ID. While we could
keep the same value, let's change it, just to make easier
to check for the new code while reading it with DVB tools
like dvbinspector.

6e8c09bb8d media: vivid: fix (partially) timing issues
The vivid driver is a bit flaky w.r.t. the kthread timing, esp. when
running inside a virtual machine.

This is caused by calling schedule_timeout_uninterruptible(1) which can
actually take more than one jiffie. A while loop with schedule() turns out
to be a lot more precise. Also, if mutex_trylock() fails, then just call
schedule() instead of schedule_timeout_uninterruptible(1). There is no need
to wait until the next jiffer, just schedule(), then try to get the lock
again.

This is still not precise enough, it is still relatively easy to get missed
frames. This really should be converted to use a proper timer, but for now
this solves the worst problems.

3f65c6f67e media: v4l2: allocate v4l2_clip objects early
The v4l2_format based ioctls can have an indirect pointer to an array
of v4l2_clip structures for overlay mode, depending on the 'type' member.
There are only five drivers that use the overlay mode and copy the
data through the __user pointer.

Change the five drivers to use memcpy() instead, and copy the data
in common code using the check_array_args() helpers. This allows
for a subsequent patch that use the same mechanism for compat
ioctl handlers.

Note that there is another pointer for a 'bitmap' that is only
used in the 'vivid' driver and nowhere else. There is no easy
way to use the same trick without adding complexity to the
common code, so this remains a __user pointer.

cause problems with userspace decoding. So, rewrite the
logic that fills the adaptation info, in order to allow it
to add PCR frames without breaking frame alignment.

09196d86e3 media: vidtv: simplify parameters for vidtv_pes_write_stuffing()
Instead of passing struct pes_ts_header_write_args fields as
function parameters, just pass a pointer to the struct.

That would allow adding more args without needing to change
the function prototype.

2f21772961 media: vidtv: cleanup SDT string identifiers
In order to better test userspace applications, add an encoding
for the strings. The original channel string is also too big.
As we're just playing the first compasses of the 5th Beethoven
Symphony, change the service name to just "Beethoven". Also,
add a provider's name. For such purpose, let's point it to
the Linux media community website.

With such changes, the SDT table now looks more like one got
from a real digital TV channel:

fc4405a5f1 media: vidtv: cleanup PSI version numbers
There's no reason to use static vars to store PSI version
numbers.

Also, currently, version numbers are starting with 0x01,
because there's a code being called that increases it to
1 for all table initializer code, as the code may support
dynamic changes at the PS tables on some future.

So, let's just initialize them to 0x1f, in order for the
versions to be reported as starting from 0.

56ce9eff94 media: vidtv: fix initialization of the network_id field at SDT
This field should point to the network ID, and has different
ranges for cable, terrestrial or satellite. It also has
an special range for temporary private usage.

For now, let's use the temporary private one. Once the
Network Information Table (NIT) gets added, this should be
reviewed.
