45a279c5ae ARM: OMAP: overo: use new display drivers
Use the new display drivers for OMAP3 Overo board.

The new OMAP display drivers were merged for 3.11, and we can now change
the board files to use the new ones and phase out the old ones.

Note that the LCD add-on boards for lcd43 and lcd35 use the same GPIOs
for the panels. This means that both panel devices cannot be probed at
the same time.

DT will handle this correctly, i.e. the DT data will contain the panel
device only for the add-on board that is attached. However, for the
board file we need a hackish solution: We parse the kernel boot command
line, and see whether lcd43 or lcd35 is set as a default display, and
add the given one. Or, if neither is given, default to lcd43.

863c9638f4 arm: omap: board-overo: reset GPIO for SMSC911x
The reset GPIO should be set for the SMSC911x, otherwise the controller
will not work and probing will fail. In the case of the tobi-duo
expansion board, the second controller shares the same GPIO, thus no
more changes are required (not tested).

5c4e599510 arm: omap: board-overo: use lb035q02 dpi panel's gpio handling
The overo board file currently requests gpios required by the lb035q02 panel,
and provides platform_enable/disable callbacks to configure them.

These tasks have been moved to the lb035q02 dpi panel driver itself and should
be removed from the board files.

The lb035q02 panel driver uses generic dpi panel's platform data struct
internally. Remove the gpio requests and the platform callbacks from the board
file. Add the gpio information to the generic dpi panel platform data struct so
that it's passed to the panel driver.

a0d8dde9cb OMAPDSS: panels: keep platform data of all panels in a single header
Structs for platform data of omapdss panels are found in headers in the
'include/video/' path. Board files populate these structs with platform
specific values, and the panel driver uses these to configure the panel.

Currently, each panel has it's own header in the above path. Move all the
omapdss panel platform data structs to a single header omap-panel-data.h.
This is useful because:

- All other omapdss panel drivers will be modified to use platform data. This
would lead to a lot of panel headers usable only by omapdss. A lot of these
platform data structs are trivial, and don't really need a separate header.
- Platform data would be eventually removed, and platform information would be
passed via device tree. Therefore, omapdss panel platform data structs are
temporary, and will be easier to remove if they are all in the same header.
- All board files will have to include the same header to configure a panel's
platform data, that makes the board files more consistent.

b274776c54 arm-soc: cleanups
A large number of cleanups, all over the platforms. This is dominated
largely by the Samsung platforms (s3c, s5p, exynos) and a few of the
others moving code out of arch/arm into more appropriate subsystems.
The clocksource and irqchip drivers are now abstracted to the point
where platforms that are already cleaned up do not need to even specify
the driver they use, it can all get configured from the device tree
as we do for normal device drivers. The clocksource changes basically
touch every single platform in the process.

We further clean up the use of platform specific header files here,
with the goal of turning more of the platforms over to being
"multiplatform" enabled, which implies that they cannot expose
their headers to architecture independent code any more.

It is expected that no functional changes are part of the cleanup.
The overall reduction in total code lines is mostly the result of
 removing broken and obsolete code.

the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at:

Merge tag 'omap-for-v3.8/cleanup-prcm-part2-signed' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap into next/cleanup

From Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>:

More PRCM cleanups via Paul Walmsley <paul@pwsan.com>:

Second set of OMAP PRCM cleanups for 3.8.

These patches remove the use of omap_prcm_get_reset_sources() from the
OMAP watchdog driver, and remove mach-omap2/prcm.c and
plat-omap/include/plat/prcm.h.

Basic test logs for this branch on top of Tony's cleanup-prcm branch
at commit 7fc54fd308 are here:

    http://www.pwsan.com/omap/testlogs/prcm_cleanup_b_3.8/20121108151646/

However, cleanup-prcm at 7fc54fd3 does not include some fixes
that are needed for a successful test. With several reverts,
fixes, and workarounds applied, the following test logs were
obtained:

    http://www.pwsan.com/omap/testlogs/TEST_prcm_cleanup_b_3.8/20121108151930/

which indicate that the series tests cleanly.

This second pull request updates one of the patches which broke
with rmk's allnoconfigs, and also updates the tag description to
indicate that 7fc54fd3 is building cleanly here.

f5a246eab9 Sound updates for 3.7-rc1
This contains pretty many small commits covering fairly large range of
files in sound/ directory. Partly because of additional API support
and partly because of constantly developed ASoC and ARM stuff.

 Some highlights:

 - Introduced the helper function and documentation for exposing the
channel map via control API, as discussed in Plumbers; most of PCI
drivers are covered, will follow more drivers later

 - Most of drivers have been replaced with the new PM callbacks (if
   the bus is supported)

 - HD-audio controller got the support of runtime PM and the support of
D3 clock-stop. Also changing the power_save option in sysfs kicks
off immediately to enable / disable the power-save mode.

 - Another significant code change in HD-audio is the rewrite of
firmware loading code. Other than that, most of changes in HD-audio
are continued cleanups and standardization for the generic auto
parser and bug fixes (HBR, device-specific fixups), in addition to
   the support of channel-map API.

 - Addition of ASoC bindings for the compressed API, used by the
   mid-x86 drivers.

 - Lots of cleanups and API refreshes for ASoC codec drivers and
   DaVinci.

 - Conversion of OMAP to dmaengine.

 - New machine driver for Wolfson Microelectronics Bells.

 - New CODEC driver for Wolfson Microelectronics WM0010.

 - Enhancements to the ux500 and wm2000 drivers

 - A new driver for DA9055 and the support for regulator bypass mode.

dbc0416104 ARM: OMAP: Split plat/hardware.h, use local soc.h for omap2+
As the plat and mach includes need to disappear for single zImage work,
we need to remove plat/hardware.h.

Do this by splitting plat/hardware.h into omap1 and omap2+ specific files.

The old plat/hardware.h already has omap1 only defines, so it gets moved
to mach/hardware.h for omap1. For omap2+, we use the local soc.h
that for now just includes the related SoC headers to keep this patch more
readable.

Note that the local soc.h still includes plat/cpu.h that can be dealt
with in later patches. Let's also include plat/serial.h from common.h for
all the board-*.c files. This allows making the include files local later
on without patching these files again.

Note that only minimal changes are done in this patch for the
drivers/watchdog/omap_wdt.c driver to keep things compiling. Further
patches are needed to eventually remove cpu_is_omap usage in the drivers.

Also only minimal changes are done to sound/soc/omap/* to remove the
unneeded includes and to define OMAP44XX_MCPDM_L3_BASE locally so there's
no need to include omap44xx.h.

While at it, also sort some of the includes in the standard way.

Merge tag 'cleanup-initcall' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc

Pull sweeping late_initcall cleanup for arm-soc from Olof Johansson:
"This is a patch series from Shawn Guo that moves from individual
late_initcalls() to using a member in the machine structure to invoke
  a platform's late initcalls.

This cleanup is a step in the move towards multiplatform kernels since
it would reduce the need to check for compatible platforms in each and
  every initcall."

Fix up trivial conflicts in arch/arm/mach-{exynos/mach-universal_c210.c,
imx/mach-cpuimx51.c, omap2/board-generic.c} due to changes nearby (and,
in the case of cpuimx51.c the board support being deleted)

2e6f2ee7ac OMAPDSS: TFP410: rename dvi -> tfp410
The driver for the TFP410 DPI-to-DVI chip was named quite badly as "DVI

driver.

5b3689f4c1 ARM: OMAP2+: smsc911x: Add fixed board regulators
Initialize fixed regulators in the board files. Trying to
do this in a generic way in gpmc-smsc911x.c gets messy as
the regulator may be provided by drivers, such as twl4030,

3b972bf06c ARM: OMAP2+: Split omap2_hsmmc_init() to properly support I2C GPIO pins
Otherwise omap_device_build() and omap_mux related functions
can't be marked as __init when twl is build as a module.

If a board is using GPIO pins or regulators configured by an
external chip, such as TWL PMIC on I2C bus, the board must
mark those MMC controllers as deferred. Additionally both
omap_hsmmc_init() and omap_hsmmc_late_init() must be called
by the board.

For MMC controllers using internal GPIO pins for card
detect and regulators the slots don't need to be marked
deferred. In this case calling omap_hsmmc_init() is sufficient.

Only mark the MMC slots using gpio_cd or gpio_wd as deferred
as noted by Igor Grinberg <grinberg@compulab.co.il>.

Note that this patch does not change the behaviour for
board-4430sdp.c board-omap4panda.c. These boards wrongly
rely on the omap_hsmmc.c init function callback to configure
the PMIC GPIO interrupt lines on external chip. If the PMIC
interrupt lines are not configured during init, they will
fail.
