+Netdev discourages patches which perform simple clean-ups, which are not in

+* Addressing :ref:`Local variable ordering<rcs>` issues
+* Conversions to device-managed APIs (``devm_`` helpers)

+This is because it is felt that the churn that such changes produce comes
