df9cb9cc5b kvm: x86: Amend the KVM_GET_SUPPORTED_CPUID API documentation
Document the subtle nuances that KVM_CAP_X86_DISABLE_EXITS induces in
the KVM_GET_SUPPORTED_CPUID API.

c1aea9196e KVM: x86: hyperv: declare KVM_CAP_HYPERV_TLBFLUSH capability
We need a new capability to indicate support for the newly added
HvFlushVirtualAddress{List,Space}{,Ex} hypercalls. Upon seeing this
capability, userspace is supposed to announce PV TLB flush features
by setting the appropriate CPUID bits (if needed).

965de0ec35 Documentation: filesystems: update filesystem locking documentation
Documentation/filesystems/Locking no longer reflects current locking
semantics. i_mutex is no longer used for locking, and has been superseded
by i_rwsem. Additionally, ->iterate_shared() was not documented.

3deb642f0d fs: introduce new ->get_poll_head and ->poll_mask methods
->get_poll_head returns the waitqueue that the poll operation is going
to sleep on. Note that this means we can only use a single waitqueue
for the poll, unlike some current drivers that use two waitqueues for
different events. But now that we have keyed wakeups and heavily use
those for poll there aren't that many good reason left to keep the
multiple waitqueues, and if there are any ->poll is still around, the
driver just won't support aio poll.

Having two somewhat similar and largely overlapping APIs is confusing,
especially since the older one appears in the docs before the newer

Clarify all of this in several ways:
 - swap the two sections

d6c77bd19c KVM: arm/arm64: Document KVM_VGIC_V3_ADDR_TYPE_REDIST_REGION
We introduce a new KVM_VGIC_V3_ADDR_TYPE_REDIST_REGION attribute in
KVM_DEV_ARM_VGIC_GRP_ADDR group. It allows userspace to provide the
base address and size of a redistributor region

Compared to KVM_VGIC_V3_ADDR_TYPE_REDIST, this new attribute allows
to declare several separate redistributor regions.

So the whole redist space does not need to be contiguous anymore.

af8d3c7c00 ppp: remove the PPPIOCDETACH ioctl
The PPPIOCDETACH ioctl effectively tries to "close" the given ppp file
before f_count has reached 0, which is fundamentally a bad idea. It
does check 'f_count < 2', which excludes concurrent operations on the
file since they would only be possible with a shared fd table, in which
case each fdget() would take a file reference. However, it fails to
account for the fact that even with 'f_count == 1' the file can still be
linked into epoll instances. As reported by syzbot, this can trivially
be used to cause a use-after-free.

Yet, the only known user of PPPIOCDETACH is pppd versions older than
ppp-2.4.2, which was released almost 15 years ago (November 2003).
Also, PPPIOCDETACH apparently stopped working reliably at around the
same time, when the f_count check was added to the kernel, e.g. see
https://lkml.org/lkml/2002/12/31/83. Also, the current 'f_count < 2'
check makes PPPIOCDETACH only work in single-threaded applications; it
always fails if called from a multithreaded application.

All pppd versions released in the last 15 years just close() the file
descriptor instead.

Therefore, instead of hacking around this bug by exporting epoll
internals to modules, and probably missing other related bugs, just
remove the PPPIOCDETACH ioctl and see if anyone actually notices. Leave
a stub in place that prints a one-time warning and returns EINVAL.
