158a05a0b8 drm/amdgpu: Add use_xgmi_p2p module parameter
This parameter controls xGMI p2p communication, which is enabled by
default. However, it can be disabled by setting it to 0. In case xGMI
p2p is disabled in a dGPU, PCIe p2p interface will be used instead.
This parameter is ignored in GPUs that do not support xGMI
p2p configuration.

f07f04a51d drm/tegra: Use dev_err_probe()
Replace dev_printk() with a generic dev_err_probe() helper which silences
noisy error messages about deferred probe and makes easy to debug failing
deferred probe by printing notification about the failure to KMSG in the
end of kernel booting process and by adding failing device and the reason
of deferred probe to devices_deferred of debugfs. This was proven to be
useful in the case of eDP driver regression by immediately showing why
display driver was failing when user asked for help, otherwise it would've
been much more difficult to debug such problems on a third party device
that doesn't have developer setup.

Drop the locks around most primary plane register writes.
The lock isn't needed since each plane's register are neatly

The one exception we have to make is DSPADDR/DSPSURF which is
(ab)used to also trigger FBC nukes on pre-snb (since the
hardware doesn't seem to have any dedicated mechanism to
trigger nukes). So we need to keep the lock around it to
protect against the rmw performed by the fbc code.

0225a90981 drm/i915: Make cursor plane registers unlocked
Drop the locks around cursor plane register writes. The
lock isn't needed since each plane's register are neatly
contained on their own cachelines.

The locking did have a secondary effect of disabling
interrupts around the cursor registers writes though.
If we drop that then we open outselves up for sceduling
delays and whatnot while on the middle of the register
writes. That increases the chance of not all the register
writes land during the same frame. For normal atomic
commits this is not a concern as the vblank evade mechanism
anyway disables interrupts around the update, but the legacy
cursor codepath does not. Technically we should do a vblank
evade there as well, but so far no one has bothered to hook
that up. So in the meantime let's put an explicit local irq
disable/enable around the legacy cursor update to keep the
race window minimal.

f8a005eb89 drm/i915: Optimize icl+ universal plane programming
On icl+ all plane registers are armed by PLANE_SURF, so we can
move almost everything over into the update_noarm() hook.

The PLANE_CTL write has to stay in the icl_update_arm() hook though
as it still exhibits the somewhat annoying self-arming behaviour
when the plane transitioning from disabled to enabled.

We could either do a full split for skl+ vs. icl+, or we could try
some other kind of split where we'd eg. keep most things in the skl+
functions and call them from the icl+ functions. I think a full split
is probably the cleaner approach since we've anyway accumulated quite
a bit of icl+ specific things, so that is what I opted to do.

c1a66c3bc4 drm/amdgpu: check vm ready by amdgpu_vm->evicting flag
Workstation application ANSA/META v21.1.4 get this error dmesg when
running CI test suite provided by ANSA/META:
[drm:amdgpu_gem_va_ioctl [amdgpu]] *ERROR* Couldn't update BO_VA (-16)

This is caused by:
1. create a 256MB buffer in invisible VRAM
2. CPU map the buffer and access it causes vm_fault and try to move
   it to visible VRAM
3. force visible VRAM space and traverse all VRAM bos to check if
   evicting this bo is valuable
4. when checking a VM bo (in invisible VRAM), amdgpu_vm_evictable()
   will set amdgpu_vm->evicting, but latter due to not in visible
   VRAM, won't really evict it so not add it to amdgpu_vm->evicted
5. before next CS to clear the amdgpu_vm->evicting, user VM ops
   ioctl will pass amdgpu_vm_ready() (check amdgpu_vm->evicted)
   but fail in amdgpu_vm_bo_update_mapping() (check
   amdgpu_vm->evicting) and get this error log

This error won't affect functionality as next CS will finish the
waiting VM ops. But we'd better clear the error log by checking
the amdgpu_vm->evicting flag in amdgpu_vm_ready() to stop calling
amdgpu_vm_bo_update_mapping() later.

Another reason is amdgpu_vm->evicted list holds all BOs (both
user buffer and page table), but only page table BOs' eviction
prevent VM ops. amdgpu_vm->evicting flag is set only for page
table BOs, so we should use evicting flag instead of evicted list
in amdgpu_vm_ready().

The side effect of this change is: previously blocked VM op (user
buffer in "evicted" list but no page table in it) gets done
immediately.

v2: update commit comments.

1e2be869c8 drm/amdgpu: do not enable asic reset for raven2
The GPU reset function of raven2 is not maintained or tested, so it should be
very unstable.

Now the amdgpu_asic_reset function is added to amdgpu_pmops_suspend, which
causes the S3 test of raven2 to fail, so the asic_reset of raven2 is ignored

3743e7f6fc drm/amd/display: Fix stream->link_enc unassigned during stream removal
[Why]
Found when running igt@kms_atomic.

Userspace attempts to do a TEST_COMMIT when 0 streams which calls
dc_remove_stream_from_ctx. This in turn calls link_enc_unassign
which ends up modifying stream->link = NULL directly, causing the
global link_enc to be removed preventing further link activity
and future link validation from passing.

[How]
We take care of link_enc unassignment at the start of
link_enc_cfg_link_encs_assign so this call is no longer necessary.

Fixes global state from being modified while unlocked.

b74e2476ef drm/amdgpu: check vm ready by amdgpu_vm->evicting flag

5. before next CS to clear the amdgpu_vm->evicting, user VM ops
   ioctl will pass amdgpu_vm_ready() (check amdgpu_vm->evicted)
   but fail in amdgpu_vm_bo_update_mapping() (check
   amdgpu_vm->evicting) and get this error log

This error won't affect functionality as next CS will finish the
waiting VM ops. But we'd better clear the error log by checking
the amdgpu_vm->evicting flag in amdgpu_vm_ready() to stop calling
amdgpu_vm_bo_update_mapping() later.

Another reason is amdgpu_vm->evicted list holds all BOs (both
user buffer and page table), but only page table BOs' eviction
prevent VM ops. amdgpu_vm->evicting flag is set only for page
table BOs, so we should use evicting flag instead of evicted list
in amdgpu_vm_ready().

The side effect of this change is: previously blocked VM op (user
buffer in "evicted" list but no page table in it) gets done
immediately.

v2: update commit comments.
