3965c9ae47 mm: prepare for removal of obsolete /proc/sys/vm/nr_pdflush_threads
Since per-BDI flusher threads were introduced in 2.6, the pdflush
mechanism is not used any more. But the old interface exported through
/proc/sys/vm/nr_pdflush_threads still exists and is obviously useless.

For back-compatibility, printk warning information and return 2 to notify
the users that the interface is removed.

3d3c8f93a2 binary_sysctl(): fix memory leak
binary_sysctl() calls sysctl_getname() which allocates from names_cache
slab usin __getname()

The matching function to free the name is __putname(), and not putname()
which should be used only to match getname() allocations.

This is because when auditing is enabled, putname() calls audit_putname
*instead* (not in addition) to __putname(). Then, if a syscall is in
progress, audit_putname does not release the name - instead, it expects
the name to get released when the syscall completes, but that will happen
only if audit_getname() was called previously, i.e. if the name was
allocated with getname() rather than the naked __getname(). So,
__getname() followed by putname() ends up leaking memory.

c59d87c460 xfs: remove subdirectories
Use the move from Linux 2.6 to Linux 3.x as an excuse to kill the
annoying subdirectories in the XFS source code. Besides the large
amount of file rename the only changes are to the Makefile, a few
files including headers with the subdirectory prefix, and the binary
sysctl compat code that includes a header under fs/xfs/ from
kernel/.

73d049a40f open-style analog of vfs_path_lookup()
new function: file_open_root(dentry, mnt, name, flags) opens the file
vfs_path_lookup would arrive to.

Note that name can be empty; in that case the usual requirement that
dentry should be a directory is lifted.

open-coded equivalents switched to it, may_open() got down exactly
one caller and became static.
