ab88c66dea [media] rc: add wakeup_protocols sysfs file
Add a wakeup_protocols sysfs file which controls the new
rc_dev::enabled_protocols[RC_FILTER_WAKEUP], which is the mask of
protocols that are used for the wakeup filter.

A new RC driver callback change_wakeup_protocol() is called to change
the wakeup protocol mask.

8dd49165ef mtd: nand: Add a devicetree binding for ECC strength and ECC step size
Some flashes can only be properly accessed when the ECC mode is
specified, so a way to describe such mode is required.

Together, the ECC strength and step size define the correction capability,
so that we say we will correct "{strength} bit errors per {size} bytes".

The interpretation of these parameters is implementation-defined, but they
often have ramifications on the formation, interpretation, and placement of
correction metadata on the flash. Not all implementations must support all
possible combinations. Implementations are encouraged to further define the
value(s) they support.

6468276b22 i2c: designware: make SCL and SDA falling time configurable
This patch allows to set independantly SCL and SDA falling times.
The tLOW period is computed by taking into account the SCL falling time.
The tHIGH period is computed by taking into account the SDA falling time.

For instance in case the margin on tLOW is considered too small, it can
be increased by increasing the SCL falling time which is by default set
at 300ns.

The same applies for tHIGH period with the help of SDA falling time.

usb: patches for v3.15

another substantial pull request with new features all over
the place.

dwc3 got a bit closer towards hibernation support with after
a few patches re-factoring code to be reused for hibernation.
Also in dwc3 two new workarounds for known silicon bugs have
been implemented, some randconfig build errors have been fixed,
and it was taught about the new generic phy layer.

MUSB on AM335x now supports isochronous transfers thanks to
George Cherian's work.

The atmel_usba driver got two crash fixes: one when no endpoint
was specified in DeviceTree data and another when stopping the UDC
in DEBUG builds.

Function FS got a much needed fix to ffs_epfile_io() which was
copying too much data to userspace in some cases.

The printer gadget got a fix for a possible deadlock and plugged

 - fix DM's Kconfig identation
 - dm-snapshot metadata corruption fix for bug introduced in 3.14-rc1
 - important refcount < 0 fix for the DM persistent data library's space
map metadata interface which fixes corruption reported by a few

and last but not least:

 - more extensive fixes than ideal for dm-thinp's data resize capability

Russell writes:

This set of changes reorganises imx-drm's DT bindings by re-using the OF
graph parsing code which was located in drivers/media, removing the
temporary bindings.

The result is that more TODO entries are now removed. While we're not
quite done with this yet as there's a few straggling updates to imx-ldb
to come, but leaving these out is not detrimental at this point in time
- they are more an enhancement.

However, this pull has the additional complication that we're sharing
seven commits with Mauro's V4L git tree, which move the OF graph parsing
code out of drivers/media into drivers/of. Philipp's imx-drm changes
depend on these and my previously committed round of imx-drm commits.
Hence, the diffstat below is from a test merge with your tree head
(17b02809cf).

Mauro merged those seven commits earlier today as a git pull, so both
trees will be sharing exactly the same commit IDs.

I've given these changes a spin here on both my Hummingboard and Cubox-i4
(one is iMX6Solo, the other is iMX6Quad based), which includes Xorg using
the DRM device directly, and I find nothing wrong.

The diffstat does look a little scarey - this is because we're having to
update the ARM DT files along with this change, and obviously the
dependency on the OF graph parsing code.

net-next: AF_RXRPC fixes and development

Here are some AF_RXRPC fixes:

 (1) Fix to remove incorrect checksum calculation made during recvmsg(). It's
unnecessary to try to do this there since we check the checksum before
reading the RxRPC header from the packet.

 (2) Fix to prevent the sending of an ABORT packet in response to another
ABORT packet and inducing a storm.

 (3) Fix UDP MTU calculation from parsing ICMP_FRAG_NEEDED packets where we
don't handle the ICMP packet not specifying an MTU size.

And development patches:

 (4) Add sysctls for configuring RxRPC parameters, specifically various delays
pertaining to ACK generation, the time before we resend a packet for
which we don't receive an ACK, the maximum time a call is permitted to
live and the amount of time transport, connection and dead call
     information is cached.

 (5) Improve ACK packet production by adjusting the handling of ACK_REQUESTED
packets, ignoring the MORE_PACKETS flag, delaying the production of
otherwise immediate ACK_IDLE packets and delaying all ACK_IDLE production
(barring the call termination) to half a second.

 (6) Add more sysctl parameters to expose the Rx window size, the maximum
packet size that we're willing to receive and the number of jumbo rxrpc
packets we're willing to handle in a single UDP packet.

 (7) Request ACKs on alternate DATA packets so that the other side doesn't
wait till we fill up the Tx window.

 (8) Use a RCU hash table to look up the rxrpc_call for an incoming packet
rather than stepping through a hierarchy involving several spinlocks.

af64a7cb09 ftrace: Pass retval through return in ftrace_dyn_arch_init()
No architecture uses the "data" parameter in ftrace_dyn_arch_init() in any
way, it just sets the value to 0. And this is used as a return value
in the caller -- ftrace_init, which just checks the retval against
zero.

Note there is also "return 0" in every ftrace_dyn_arch_init. So it is
enough to check the retval and remove all the indirect sets of data on
all archs.

c7e64b9ce0 powerpc/powernv Platform dump interface
This enables support for userspace to fetch and initiate FSP and
Platform dumps from the service processor (via firmware) through sysfs.

Based on original patch from Vasant Hegde <hegdevasant@linux.vnet.ibm.com>

Flow:
  - We register for OPAL notification events.
  - OPAL sends new dump available notification.
  - We make information on dump available via sysfs
  - Userspace requests dump contents
  - We retrieve the dump via OPAL interface
  - User copies the dump data
  - userspace sends ack for dump
  - We send ACK to OPAL.

sysfs files:
  - We add the /sys/firmware/opal/dump directory
  - echoing 1 (well, anything, but in future we may support
    different dump types) to /sys/firmware/opal/dump/initiate_dump
    will initiate a dump.
  - Each dump that we've been notified of gets a directory
in /sys/firmware/opal/dump/ with a name of the dump type and ID (in hex,
as this is what's used elsewhere to identify the dump).
  - Each dump has files: id, type, dump and acknowledge
dump is binary and is the dump itself.
echoing 'ack' to acknowledge (currently any string will do) will
acknowledge the dump and it will soon after disappear from sysfs.

OPAL APIs:
  - opal_dump_init()
  - opal_dump_info()
  - opal_dump_read()
  - opal_dump_ack()
  - opal_dump_resend_notification()

Currently we are only ever notified for one dump at a time (until
the user explicitly acks the current dump, then we get a notification
of the next dump), but this kernel code should "just work" when OPAL
starts notifying us of all the dumps present.

774fea1a38 powerpc/powernv: Read OPAL error log and export it through sysfs
Based on a patch by: Mahesh Salgaonkar <mahesh@linux.vnet.ibm.com>

This patch adds support to read error logs from OPAL and export
them to userspace through a sysfs interface.

We export each log entry as a directory in /sys/firmware/opal/elog/

Currently, OPAL will buffer up to 128 error log records, we don't
need to have any knowledge of this limit on the Linux side as that
is actually largely transparent to us.

Each error log entry has the following files: id, type, acknowledge, raw.
Currently we just export the raw binary error log in the 'raw' attribute.
In a future patch, we may parse more of the error log to make it a bit
easier for userspace (e.g. to be able to display a brief summary in
petitboot without having to have a full parser).

If we have >128 logs from OPAL, we'll only be notified of 128 until
userspace starts acknowledging them. This limitation may be lifted in
the future and with this patch, that should "just work" from the linux side.

A userspace daemon should:
- wait for error log entries using normal mechanisms (we announce creation)
- read error log entry
- save error log entry safely to disk
- acknowledge the error log entry
- rinse, repeat.

On the Linux side, we read the error log when we're notified of it. This
possibly isn't ideal as it would be better to only read them on-demand.
However, this doesn't really work with current OPAL interface, so we
read the error log immediately when notified at the moment.

I've tested this pretty extensively and am rather confident that the
linux side of things works rather well. There is currently an issue with
the service processor side of things for >128 error logs though.
