On ARM, regions of memory that are described by UEFI as having special
significance to the firmware itself are omitted from the linear mapping.
This is necessary since we cannot guarantee that alternate mappings of
the same physical region will use attributes that are compatible with
the ones we use for the linear mapping, and aliases with mismatched
attributes are prohibited by the architecture.
The above does not apply to ACPI reclaim regions: such regions have no
special significance to the firmware, and it is up to the OS to decide
whether or not to preserve them after it has consumed their contents,
and for how long, after which time the OS can use the memory in any way
it likes. In the Linux case, such regions are preserved indefinitely,
and are simply treated the same way as other 'reserved' memory types.
Punching holes into the linear mapping causes page table fragmentation,
which increases TLB pressure, and so we should avoid doing so if we can.
So add a special case for regions of type EFI_ACPI_RECLAIM_MEMORY, and
memblock_reserve() them instead of marking them MEMBLOCK_NOMAP.

drm/tegra: Changes for v4.14-rc1
This contains a couple of fixes and improvements for host1x, with some
preparatory work for Tegra186 support.
The remainder is cleanup and minor bugfixes for Tegra DRM along with
enhancements to debuggability.
There have also been some enhancements to the kernel interfaces for
host1x job submissions and support for mmap'ing PRIME buffers directly,
all of which get the interfaces very close to ready for serious work.

In fib6_add(), it is possible that fib6_add_1() picks an intermediate
node and sets the node's fn->leaf to NULL in order to add this new
route. However, if fib6_add_rt2node() fails to add the new
route for some reason, fn->leaf will be left as NULL and could
potentially cause crash when fn->leaf is accessed in fib6_locate().
This patch makes sure fib6_repair_tree() is called to properly repair
fn->leaf in the above failure case.

This important to call qdisc_tree_reduce_backlog() after changing queue
length. Parent qdisc should deactivate class in ->qlen_notify() called from
qdisc_tree_reduce_backlog() but this happens only if qdisc->q.qlen in zero.
Missed class deactivations leads to crashes/warnings at picking packets
from empty qdisc and corrupting state at reactivating this class in future.

If 'irq_of_parse_and_map()' or 'of_address_to_resource()' fail, 'err' is
known to be 0 at this point.
So return -ENODEV instead in the first case and use 'of_iomap()' instead of
the equivalent 'of_address_to_resource()/ioremap()' combinaison in the 2nd
case.
Doing so, the 'rsrc_regs' field of the 'emac_instance struct' becomes
redundant and is removed.
While at it, turn a 'err != 0' test into an equivalent 'err' to be more
consistent.

In the current code, dev_map_free() can still race with dev_map_notification().
In dev_map_free(), we remove dtab from the list of dtabs after we purged
all entries from it. However, we don't do xchg() with NULL or the like,
so the entry at that point is still pointing to the device. If a unregister
notification comes in at the same time, we therefore risk a double-free,
since the pointer is still present in the map, and then pushed again to
__dev_map_entry_free().
All this is completely unnecessary. Just remove the dtab from the list
right before the synchronize_rcu(), so all outstanding readers from the
notifier list have finished by then, thus we don't need to deal with this
corner case anymore and also wouldn't need to nullify dev entires. This is
fine because we iterate over the map releasing all entries and therefore
dev references anyway.

export dtbinst-root ?= $(obj)
should define and export dtbinst-root when handling the root dts
directory, and do nothing in the subdirectories. However some shells,
including dash, will not pass through environment variables whose name
includes a hyphen. Usually GNU make does not use a shell to recurse,
but if e.g. $(srctree) contains '~' it will use a shell here.
Rename the variable to dtbinst_root.

Commit 971a69db7d ("Xen: don't warn about 2-byte wchar_t in efi")
added the --no-wchar-size-warning to the Makefile to avoid this
harmless warning:
arm-linux-gnueabi-ld: warning: drivers/xen/efi.o uses 2-byte wchar_t yet the output is to use 4-byte wchar_t; use of wchar_t values across objects may fail
Changing kbuild to use thin archives instead of recursive linking
unfortunately brings the same warning back during the final link.
The kernel does not use wchar_t string literals at this point, and
xen does not use wchar_t at all (only efi_char16_t), so the flag
has no effect, but as pointed out by Jan Beulich, adding a wchar_t
string literal would be bad here.
Since wchar_t is always defined as u16, independent of the toolchain
default, always passing -fshort-wchar is correct and lets us
remove the Xen specific hack along with fixing the warning.

The 'move_paghes()' system call was introduced long long ago with the
same permission checks as for sending a signal (except using
CAP_SYS_NICE instead of CAP_SYS_KILL for the overriding capability).
That turns out to not be a great choice - while the system call really
only moves physical page allocations around (and you need other
capabilities to do a lot of it), you can check the return value to map
out some the virtual address choices and defeat ASLR of a binary that
still shares your uid.
So change the access checks to the more common 'ptrace_may_access()'
model instead.
This tightens the access checks for the uid, and also effectively
changes the CAP_SYS_NICE check to CAP_SYS_PTRACE, but it's unlikely that
anybody really _uses_ this legacy system call any more (we hav ebetter
NUMA placement models these days), so I expect nobody to notice.

The RTL8822BE, an 802.11ac wireless network card, is now appearing in
new computers. Its driver is being placed in staging to reduce the time
that users of this new card will have access to in-kernel drivers.
This commit enables building of the new driver. For this version, all
routines are built into a single module r8822be. When this driver is
moved to the wireless tree, halmac, phydm, and rtl8822be will become
new modules.

The RTL8822BE, an 802.11ac wireless network card, is now appearing in
new computers. Its driver is being placed in staging to reduce the time
that users of this new card will have access to in-kernel drivers.
New Realtek wireless devices have a new method for PHY control and
dynamic management. The RTL8822BE is the first of these devices, thus
there is additional code required.
In the final version, this code will be a separate module; however,
it is combined with the r8822be driver to minimize the interference
with the drivers in the wireless tree.

new computers. Its driver is being placed in staging to reduce the time
that users of this new card will have access to in-kernel drivers.
New Realtek devices implement a common sub-driver to control the MAC
layer. The RTL8822BE is the first of these devices, thus its introduction
involves some extra code. In the wireless tree, this will be a separate
module; however, it is compiled into the 8822be driver here.

This commit copies the existing routines from .../rtlwifi/btcoexist/
into staging. There are no changes other than removing all EXPORT
statements, and the fixing of checkpatch messages. The latter will
be backported to the wireless tree.

This commit copies the code that currently constitutes the rtlwifi and
rtl_pci mini drivers. This material is copied into staging to prevent
any undo interaction between the existing drivers and this new one.
The only changes in this code are the removal of all export statements,
and the fixing of some checkpatch messages. The latter will be backported
into the wireless tree.
