Pull MTD fixes from David Woodhouse:
"This fixes a couple of problems. Firstly, some people are actually
still using old small-page flash and we broke it by removing the ready

Secondly. fix the handling of partitions on Broadcom 47xx devices.
Recent changes had made it misdetect the location of the NVRAM and
scribble over the bootloader when it tried to update the variables
  there. With predictably sad results."

Pull ARM SoC bug fixes from Arnd Bergmann:
"Things are calming down for arm-soc as well. This set of bug fixes is
dominated in size by the at91 platform bug fixes. Some of them were
meant to go through the framebuffer tree during the merge window, but
since the framebuffer maintainer could not be reached, I offered to
take them here. The other notable at91 change is the addition of
pinctrl definitions to fix the NAND controller.

The rest are mostly simple regression fixes:

   - Our removal of VIRT_TO_BUS conflicted with Stephen Rothwell's
renaming of the Kconfig symbol. You will get a trivial merge
conflict here, we still want to remove it.
   - missing bits for clocks on imx and s5pv210
   - missing header inclusions in mmp and shmobile
   - typos in s5pv210 camera and vt8500 clock support code

and three trivial fixes for pre-3.8 bugs:

   - an old bogus build warning in the joystick driver
   - a misleading Kconfig description
   - a NULL pointer check on davinci"

af6882be36 usb: phy: ab8500-usb: update irq handling code

fbc83b7f59 irqchip: Renesas IRQC driver
This patch adds a driver for external IRQ pins connected
to the IRQC hardware block on recent SoCs from Renesas.

The IRQC hardware block is used together with more
recent ARM based SoCs using the GIC. As usual the GIC
requires external IRQ trigger setup somewhere else
which in this particular case happens to be IRQC.

This driver implements the glue code needed to configure
IRQ trigger and also handle mask/unmask and demux of
external IRQ pins hooked up from the IRQC to the GIC.

Tested on r8a73a4 but is designed to work with a wide
range of SoCs. The driver requires one GIC SPI per
external IRQ pin to operate. Each driver instance
will handle up to 32 external IRQ pins.

The SoCs using this driver are currently mainly used
together with regular platform devices so this driver
allows configuration via platform data to support things
like static interrupt base address. DT support will
be added incrementally in the not so distant future.

443580486e irqchip: Renesas INTC External IRQ pin driver
This patch adds a driver for external IRQ pins connected
to the INTC block on recent SoCs from Renesas.

The INTC hardware block usually contains a rather wide
range of features ranging from external IRQ pin handling
to legacy interrupt controller support. On older SoCs
the INTC is used as a general purpose interrupt controller
both for external IRQ pins and on-chip devices.

On more recent ARM based SoCs with Cortex-A9 the main
interrupt controller is the GIC, but IRQ trigger setup
still need to happen in the INTC hardware block.

This driver implements the glue code needed to configure
IRQ trigger and also handle mask/unmask and demux of
external IRQ pins hooked up from the INTC to the GIC.

Tested on sh73a0 and r8a7779. The hardware varies quite
a bit with SoC model, for instance register width and
bitfield widths vary wildly. The driver requires one GIC
SPI per external IRQ pin to operate. Each driver instance
will handle up to 8 external IRQ pins.

The SoCs using this driver are currently mainly used
together with regular platform devices so this driver
allows configuration via platform data to support things
like static interrupt base address. DT support will
be added incrementally in the not so distant future.

65c1055355 kprobes: Make hash_64() as always inlined
Because hash_64() is called from the get_kprobe() inside
int3 handler, kernel causes int3 recursion and crashes if
kprobes user puts a probe on it.

Usually hash_64() is inlined into caller function, but in
some cases, it has instances by gcc's interprocedural
constant propagation.

This patch uses __always_inline instead of inline to
prevent gcc from doing such things.

Whenever we have DRD devices, we need to be

Note that in the ideal case, this would be
controlled by the ID-pin Interrupt, but not
all devices have ID-pin properly routed since
manufacturers can choose to save that trace

f07bd56bbd usb: gadget: udc-core: allow udc class register gadget device

Once all are converted, the new flag will

1e8bbe6cd0 net: cdc_ncm, cdc_mbim: allow user to prefer NCM for backwards compatibility
commit bd329e1 ("net: cdc_ncm: do not bind to NCM compatible MBIM devices")
introduced a new policy, preferring MBIM for dual NCM/MBIM functions if
the cdc_mbim driver was enabled. This caused a regression for users
wanting to use NCM.

Devices implementing NCM backwards compatibility according to section
3.2 of the MBIM v1.0 specification allow either NCM or MBIM on a single
USB function, using different altsettings. The cdc_ncm and cdc_mbim
drivers will both probe such functions, and must agree on a common
policy for selecting either MBIM or NCM. Until now, this policy has
been set at build time based on CONFIG_USB_NET_CDC_MBIM.

Use a module parameter to set the system policy at runtime, allowing the
user to prefer NCM on systems with the cdc_mbim driver.

1eef128254 amd64_edac: Correct DIMM sizes
We were filling the csrow size with a wrong value. 16a528ee39 ("EDAC:
Fix csrow size reported in sysfs") tried to address the issue. It fixed
the report with the old API but not with the new one. Correct it for the
new API too.

236595879b Merge tag 'for-3.9-rc3' of git://openrisc.net/jonas/linux
Pull OpenRISC bug fixes from Jonas Bonn:

 - The GPIO descriptor work has exposed how broken the non-GPIOLIB bits
for OpenRISC were. We now require GPIOLIB as this is the preferred
   way forward.

 - The system.h split introduced a bug in llist.h for arches using
asm-generic/cmpxchg.h directly, which is currently only OpenRISC.
The patch here moves two defines from asm-generic/atomic.h to
asm-generic/cmpxchg.h to make things work as they should.

 - The VIRT_TO_BUS selector was added for OpenRISC, but OpenRISC does
not have the virt_to_bus methods, so there's a patch to remove it
   again.

5caf463625 clocksource: Add new feature flag CLOCK_SOURCE_SUSPEND_NONSTOP
Some x86 processors have a TSC clocksource, which continues to run
even when system is suspended. Also most OMAP platforms have a

6ed7ffddcf pcmcia/ds.h: introduce helper for pcmcia_driver module boilerplate
Introduce the module_pcmcia_driver() macro which is a convenience macro
for pcmcia driver modules. It is intended to be used by pcmcia drivers
with init/exit sections that do nothing but register/unregister the
pcmcia driver.

e926301b39 ipack: split ipack_device_register() in several functions
One function is ipack_device_init(). If it fails, the caller should execute
ipack_put_device().

The second function is ipack_device_add that only adds the device. If
it fails, the caller should execute ipack_put_device().

Then the device is removed with refcount = 0, as device_register() kernel
documentation says.

ipack_device_del() is added to remove the device.

K. Y. Srinivasan
96dd86fa58 Drivers: hv: Add a new driver to support host initiated backup
This driver supports host initiated backup of the guest. On Windows guests,
the host can generate application consistent backups using the Windows VSS
framework. On Linux, we ensure that the backup will be file system consistent.
This driver allows the host to initiate a "Freeze" operation on all the mounted
file systems in the guest. Once the mounted file systems in the guest are frozen,
the host snapshots the guest's file systems. Once this is done, the guest's file
systems are "thawed".

This driver has a user-level component (daemon) that invokes the appropriate
operation on all the mounted file systems in response to the requests from
the host. The duration for which the guest is frozen is very short - a few seconds.
During this interval, the diff disk is comitted.

In this version of the patch I have addressed the feedback from Olaf Herring.
Also, some of the connector related issues have been fixed.
