230f13a503 mfd: support stmpe1801 18 bits enhanced port expander
Provides support for 1801 variant of stmpe gpio port expanders.
This chip has 18 gpios configurable as GPI, GPO, keypad matrix,
special key or dedicated key function.

Note that special/dedicated key function is not supported yet.

a6e4d5a03e x86, efivars: firmware bug workarounds should be in platform code
Let's not burden ia64 with checks in the common efivars code that we're not
writing too much data to the variable store. That kind of thing is an x86
firmware bug, plain and simple.

efi_query_variable_store() provides platforms with a wrapper in which they can
perform checks and workarounds for EFI variable storage bugs.

5fb1c2dd8f mfd: syscon: Add missing struct device_node declaration
syscon.h header uses struct device_node in functions' declarations
without declaring it. This causes compilation warnings like:

Fix it by adding a forward declaration of struct device_node.

e46980a10a mei: bus: Add device enabling and disabling API
It should be left to the drivers to enable and disable the device on the
MEI bus when e.g getting probed.
For drivers to be able to safely call the enable and disable hooks, the
mei_cl_ops must be set before it's probed and thus this should happen
before registering the device on the MEI bus. Hence the mei_cl_add_device()
prototype change.

Pull tracing fixes from Steven Rostedt:
 "This includes three fixes.  Two fix features added in 3.9 and one
  fixes a long time minor bug.

  The first patch fixes a race that can happen if the user switches from
  the irqsoff tracer to another tracer.  If a irqs off latency is
  detected, it will try to use the snapshot buffer, but the new tracer
  wont have it allocated.  There's a nasty warning that gets printed and
  the trace is ignored.  Nothing crashes, just a nasty WARN_ON is shown.

  The second patch fixes an issue where if the sysctl is used to disable
  and enable function tracing, it can put the function tracing into an
  unstable state.

  The third patch fixes an issue with perf using the function tracer.
  An update was done, where the stub function could be called during the
  perf function tracing, and that stub function wont have the "control"
  flag set and cause a nasty warning when running perf."

f9c41a62bb af_iucv: fix recvmsg by replacing skb_pull() function
When receiving data messages, the "BUG_ON(skb->len < skb->data_len)" in
the skb_pull() function triggers a kernel panic.

Replace the skb_pull logic by a per skb offset as advised by
Eric Dumazet.

f53adae4ea net: ipv6: add tokenized interface identifier support
This patch adds support for IPv6 tokenized IIDs, that allow
for administrators to assign well-known host-part addresses
to nodes whilst still obtaining global network prefix from
Router Advertisements. It is currently in draft status.

  The primary target for such support is server platforms
  where addresses are usually manually configured, rather
  than using DHCPv6 or SLAAC. By using tokenised identifiers,
  hosts can still determine their network prefix by use of
  SLAAC, but more readily be automatically renumbered should
  their network prefix change. [...]

  The disadvantage with static addresses is that they are
  likely to require manual editing should the network prefix
  in use change.  If instead there were a method to only
  manually configure the static identifier part of the IPv6
  address, then the address could be automatically updated
  when a new prefix was introduced, as described in [RFC4192]
  for example.  In such cases a DNS server might be
  configured with such a tokenised interface identifier of
  ::53, and SLAAC would use the token in constructing the
  interface address, using the advertised prefix. [...]

The implementation is partially based on top of Mark K.
Thompson's proof of concept. However, it uses the Netlink
interface for configuration resp. data retrival, so that
it can be easily extended in future. Successfully tested
by myself.

f1dc6c4f77 irqchip: sunxi: Make use of the IRQCHIP_DECLARE macro
This allows to remove some boilerplate code. At the same time, call the
set_handle_irq function in the initialization function of the irqchip,
so that we can remove it from the machine declaration.

ea71d9a600 clocksource: sunxi: make use of CLKSRC_OF
Using CLKSRC_OF allows to remove the SoC specific sunxi_timer.h header,
and instead of using a custom init function in the machine definition
use the standard clocksource_of_init function.

395b97a3ae ftrace: Do not call stub functions in control loop
The function tracing control loop used by perf spits out a warning
if the called function is not a control function. This is because
the control function references a per cpu allocated data structure
on struct ftrace_ops that is not allocated for other types of
functions.

commit 0a016409e4 "ftrace: Optimize the function tracer list loop"

Had an optimization done to all function tracing loops to optimize
for a single registered ops. Unfortunately, this allows for a slight
race when tracing starts or ends, where the stub function might be
called after the current registered ops is removed. In this case we
get the following dump:

To fix this a new ftrace_ops flag is added that denotes the ftrace_list_end
ftrace_ops stub as just that, a stub. This flag is now checked in the
control loop and the function is not called if the flag is set.

56aa091d60 ieee802154/nl-mac.c: make some MLME operations optional
Check for NULL before calling the following operations from "struct
ieee802154_mlme_ops": assoc_req, assoc_resp, disassoc_req, start_req,
and scan_req.

This fixes a current oops where those functions are called but not
implemented. It also updates the documentation to clarify that they
are now optional by design. If a call to an unimplemented function
is attempted, the kernel returns EOPNOTSUPP via netlink.

The following operations are still required: get_phy, get_pan_id,
get_short_addr, and get_dsn.

Note that the places where this patch changes the initialization
of "ret" should not affect the rest of the code since "ret" was
always set (again) before returning its value.

d87c8c6d15 IEEE 802.15.4: remove get_bsn from "struct ieee802154_mlme_ops"
It served no purpose: we never call it from anywhere in the stack
and the only driver that did implement it (fakehard) merely provided
a dummy value.

There is also considerable doubt whether it would make sense to
even attempt beacon processing at this level in the Linux kernel.

d166991234 idle: Implement generic idle function
All idle functions in arch/* are more or less the same, plus minus a
few bugs and extra instrumentation, tickless support and other
optional items.

Implement a generic idle function which resembles the functionality
found in arch/. Provide weak arch_cpu_idle_* functions which can be
overridden by the architecture code if needed.

3c2670e651 driver core: add uid and gid to devtmpfs
Some drivers want to tell userspace what uid and gid should be used for
their device nodes, so allow that information to percolate through the
driver core to userspace in order to make this happen.  This means that
some systems (i.e.  Android and friends) will not need to even run a
udev-like daemon for their device node manager and can just rely in
devtmpfs fully, reducing their footprint even more.

a5055d5d68 mfd: twl4030-madc: Add support for raw value in twl4030_madc_conversion
Driver twl4030-madc has hardcoded channel types (10 - battery current,
1 - battery temperature) and also conversation data in variable
twl4030_divider_ratios. These hardcoded channels are incorrect for
Nokia RX-51 board (where is channel 0 - battery temperature).

For Nokia RX-51 there is rx51_battery power_supply driver which reporting
battery information via twl4030_madc_conversion. But this driver needs
raw values (not converted via some hardcoded functions). So this patch
adding new parameter "raw" to struct twl4030_madc_request which tell
twl4030-madc driver to not convert values, but rather return raw.

3092f8050e mfd: arizona: Allow GPIO to be specified for IRQ line
If a GPIO is specified for the chip IRQ line then request it. This
improves support for systems that do not put pins into input mode when
used as interrupts.

Also use this GPIO when the primary IRQ is in edge triggered mode to
detect if we have handled pending interrupts in order to improve
robustness.

This untangles the final bits of the prcmu code from the platform
code:

* The IRQ_PRCMU_* definitions move from irqs-db8500.h into prcmu.c
  because they are only of local significance.
* u8500_thsens_device goes into the prcmu, because it uses a PRCMU
  IRQ that the platform does not see.
* IRQ_DB8500_AB8500 and IRQ_PRCMU_BASE go into the platform data
  because the PRCMU does not see it.

1e22a8c614 ARM: ux500: move PM-related PRCMU functions to machine
We are trying to decompose and decentralize the code in
the DB8500 PRCMU out into subdrivers. The code moved in
this patch concerns a group of functions used for
decoupling and recoupling the IRQs from the GIC. During
sleep and idle the Ux500 system will transfer all IRQ
handling to the PRCMU using these functions.

Basically we are left with the two alternatives of code
placement as:

- arch/arm/mach-ux500/pm.c - this because the code is
  closely related to the GIC, and takes ownership of
  some of the registers from the PRCMU related to this
  PM functionality.

- drivers/mfd/db8500-prcmu-pm.c - because the code is
  affecting stuff in the PRCMU register range. But then
  this code needs to remap and handle GIC registers.

This patch implementation is taking the first approach.

Currently the cpuidle driver is the only piece of code
using this set of functions, but it will later also be
used by the suspend/resume code which is currently under
review.

The header file is moved to:
<linux/platform_data/arm-ux500-pm.h>
The function prototypes need to be placed in a globally
visible header since the CPUidle code is planned to move
out to drivers/cpuidle.

9a47a8dccf mfd: prcmu: pass a base and size with the early initcall
This patch will make an early remapping of the PRCMU, to be
used when setting up the clocks, that will call down into parts
of the PRCMU driver before it is probed.

Going forward this will be removed like this:

- The mailbox subsystem need to be merged.

- At this point the PRCMU clock code can be moved over to the
  ux500 clock driver in drivers/clk/ux500/* and maintained
  there in a decentralized manner.
