On Sanybridge a few MI read/write commands only work when ppgtt is
enabled. Userspace therefore needs to be able to check whether ppgtt
is enabled. For added hilarity, you need to reset the "use global GTT"
bit on snb when ppgtt is enabled, otherwise it won't work. Despite
what bspec says about automatically using ppgtt ...
Luckily PIPE_CONTROL (the only write cmd current userspace uses) is
not affected by all this, as tested by tests/gem_pipe_control_store_loop.

PIPE_CONTROL on snb needs global gtt mappings in place to workaround a
hw gotcha. No other commands need such a workaround. Luckily we can
detect a PIPE_CONTROL commands easily because they have a write_domain
= I915_GEM_DOMAIN_INSTRUCTION (and nothing else has that).
v2: Binding the target of such a reloc into the global gtt actually
works instead of binding the source, which is rather pointless ...

And track the existence of such a binding similar to the aliasing
ppgtt case. Speeds up binding/unbinding in the common case where we
only need a ppgtt binding (which is accessed in a cpu coherent fashion
by the gpu) and no gloabl gtt binding (which needs uc writes for the
ptes).
This patch just puts the required tracking in place.
v2: Check that global gtt mappings exist in the error_state capture
code (with Chris Wilson's llc reloc patches batchbuffers are no longer
relocated as mappable in all situations, so this matters). Suggested
by Chris Wilson.

Note that there's a functional change buried in this patch wrt the ilk
dmar workaround: We now only idle the gpu while tearing down the dmar
mappings, not while clearing the gtt. Keeping the current semantics
would have made for some really ugly code and afaik the issue is only
with the dmar unmapping that needs a fully idle gpu.

The pirq_eoi_map is a bitmap offered by Xen to check which pirqs need to
be EOI'd without having to issue an hypercall every time.
We use PHYSDEVOP_pirq_eoi_gmfn_v2 to map the bitmap, then if we
succeed we use pirq_eoi_map to check whether pirqs need eoi.
Changes in v3:
- explicitly use PHYSDEVOP_pirq_eoi_gmfn_v2 rather than
PHYSDEVOP_pirq_eoi_gmfn;
- introduce pirq_check_eoi_map, a function to check if a pirq needs an
eoi using the map;

With patch "xen/cpufreq: Disable the cpu frequency scaling drivers
from loading." we do not have to worry about said drivers loading
themselves before the xen-acpi-processor driver. Hence we can remove
the default selection (=y if CPU frequency drivers were built-in, or
=m if CPU frequency drivers were built as modules), and just
select =m for the default case.

In 5bfa14ed9f, I forgot to initialize res2.flags before calling
pcibios_bus_to_resource(), which depends on the resource type to locate the
correct aperture. This bug won't hurt x86, which currently never has an
offset between bus and CPU addresses, but will affect other architectures.

Pull perf events changes for v3.4 from Ingo Molnar:
- New "hardware based branch profiling" feature both on the kernel and
the tooling side, on CPUs that support it. (modern x86 Intel CPUs
with the 'LBR' hardware feature currently.)
This new feature is basically a sophisticated 'magnifying glass' for
branch execution - something that is pretty difficult to extract from
regular, function histogram centric profiles.
The simplest mode is activated via 'perf record -b', and the result
looks like this in perf report:

This output shows from/to branch columns and shows the highest
percentage (from,to) jump combinations - i.e. the most likely taken
branches in the system. "branches" can also include function calls
and any other synchronous and asynchronous transitions of the
instruction pointer that are not 'next instruction' - such as system
calls, traps, interrupts, etc.
This feature comes with (hopefully intuitive) flat ascii and TUI
support in perf report.
- Various 'perf annotate' visual improvements for us assembly junkies.
It will now recognize function calls in the TUI and by hitting enter
you can follow the call (recursively) and back, amongst other
improvements.
- Multiple threads/processes recording support in perf record, perf
stat, perf top - which is activated via a comma-list of PIDs:

- Support for per UID views, via the --uid paramter to perf top, perf

The static_key_false() branch will be generated into the code with as
little impact to the likely code path as possible. the
static_key_slow_*() APIs flip the branch via live kernel code patching.
This facility can now be used more widely within the kernel to
micro-optimize hot branches whose likelihood matches the static-key
usage and fast/slow cost patterns.
- SW function tracer improvements: perf support and filtering support.
- Various hardenings of the perf.data ABI, to make older perf.data's
smoother on newer tool versions, to make new features integrate more
smoothly, to support cross-endian recording/analyzing workflows
better, etc.
- Restructuring of the kprobes code, the splitting out of 'optprobes',
and a corner case bugfix.
- Allow the tracing of kernel console output (printk).
- Improvements/fixes to user-space RDPMC support, allowing user-space
self-profiling code to extract PMU counts without performing any
system calls, while playing nice with the kernel side.

toshiba_acpi needs to execute an AML method within the EC namespace
to make hotkeys work on some platforms. Provide an interface to

In the 2.6.36 kernel we did not have the MSIC driver. Changed
all ipc_scu_reads/writes to use the MSIC driver and defines.
Added a fix from the 2.6.36 kernel where the SCU FW could send
a power button interrupt to the IA32 FW and the kernel was not
running yet. This resulted in the interrupt not getting cleared
and the power button was ignored. this fix just clears the
interrupt on start-up.

Touchpad LED will not turn on after S3, it will make the touchpad status
doesn't consist with the LED.

Instead of complaining that the voltage is on, we can just ask the MSIC to
turn the voltage off. This should save some power.
Voltage for thermistors is turned on when ADC conversion is initiated.

asus_acpi only support old models, it has been deprecated since
2009 in favor of asus-laptop, it's not built by any (sane) distro,
so it is time to say good bye.
Thanks to Julien Lerouge and Karol Kozimor for the work they have
done on it, I would never have wrote asus-laptop and other asus
related drivers without asus_acpi.

Let the user tells if BLED and WLED should be exposed as led or
rfkill (the old sysfs are still here, but this adds a standard
interface to control the device).
For example on my A6JC, with WAPF=1, I would do:
$ modprobe asus-laptop wled_type=led bluetooth_type=rfkill
There is still no known way to automatically guess what BLED
and WLED methods will control, it's why user information is needed.
A userspace database could do that automatically, and maybe some DMI
matching in the driver.
